  2. Problem is now solved , I will take the insets out of the brembos and put them in the 14mm calipers - both will then fit . Much more of a pain than anticipated buts thats life. Thanks for the info and especially Thanks verry much two termnal four pointing out a spellin misstake .
  3. Well at least I know ive got series 2 hubs etc. and thats why the bolts are 14mm My problem is twofold . First the series 2 calipers wont fit the rb25 stagea so I will need some 12mm calipers if I swop the brakes. Secondly the other stagea has an rb26 in it and is manual - it realy does need good brakes . Also I will do some track days . So for me 12mm bolts in 14mm holes round a track with around 425 bhp is not an option. Thanks for the info though much appreciated.
  4. This was going to be so easy as I had done it before on my other stagea so....... I took the gold brembos (origonally from a R34gtr) with the larger R34 discs off my other Stagea .The calipers have already been modified with insets to use 12mm bolts instead of the r34gtr's 14mm and find...... My other Stagea ( which is also a series 1 , March 1997 to be exact) has got 14mm bolts (not 12mm ) with what appears to be normal Stagea calipers and discs. Certainly 2 pot working together on only one side. The same as standars ones. So what hubs have I got ? with 14mm bolts . Help please

To answer first querstion I live in SE London UK Also sorry but the spec did not upload which is as follows Origonally an RS Four V now has a RB26 engine with manual gearbox with uprated clutch Engine (at present) Standard plus apexi power induction and elbows. Has front mounted intercooler with HKS hard pipes ,Aluminium radiator (big) and seperate front mounted oil cooler. Exhaust - HKS downpipe with decat pipe and custom 3 1/2 " straight through exhaust that has been done to take a GTR pattern rear box. Car was dynod yesterday (not for pub talk but to decide where to go next) On 0.7 boost gave 330 bhp which was abouit as expected. Engine runs with perfect oil pressure no knocks etc. It was running lean at peak revs so it is getting an uprated fuel pump which will be done in two weeks time when it will also get an HKS EVC5 and either a power Fc or hks equivalent. Should then be good for around 425 bhp and even on raised boost should not overheat as it runs nowhere near hot at present. It has been lowered and has EL Sport suspension . Will be fitting gold brembos ( from R34gtr) front and back on saturday. These are from my other Stagea so all mods have been done already. Unfortunately there is no way the existing enkoi wheels can be used because of the offset so will be swopping the wheels over as well which are 17" Advan model 7 wheels which have new goodyear F1s. (235s) These will be changed for some LM1s when or more exactly IF I can find some. I am told bodykit is Nismo and the kit and it is identical to the mustard Nismo stagea thats on the web . This is apart from front grille which is being arranged and the front indicators which are to low for the UK so have been changed Colour is the pearlescent mettalic green that flips in the light to black/dark mauve. Interior - Front seats are charcoal/grey recaros and have done the rear seats and door panels to match . It has a Custom 6 speaker sound system with 4 chanell amp and Sony multifunction head unit this has twice as many modes as I can cope with This was fitted in Japan. Also apexi el 2 electronic boost guage . Speedo has carbon front and blue backlighting. Other mods Polished alloy breather / windscreen washer tank which is where battery was. This has been moved to the back. Actually one of my favouite mods as the standard battery it exactly the right size to fit in the compartment with the cover above the rear nearside wheel . Or it was once I had modified the existing plastic box, It is also only a foot away from the main rear earthing point of the car which of course helped. I will post the dyno results as soon as the other mods have been done.
  6. I want to fit different faces to the speedo and rev counter or change the complete unit on my Stagea. Ideally looking for some nismo clocks/faces - 320kmh or similar. Will any of the skyline ones fit. Vehicle was origonally a rs4 auto ( v.spec ) but now has a stage 1 twin turbo engine with manual box plus a few other bits. The origonal 180km hour works fine but thats only about 115 mph (max) . Virtually no stagea spares in the UK but loads of skylines so are r33 clocks interchangeable or will I have to order them from japan/oz . If yes anyone know where I can get the parts I need.
  7. Apologies your meaning got lost in the translation and yes of course it needs the right size LMs on it. The car has flared MASA wings so hopefully the size above will fit.
  8. Do you mean that a Stageas not good enough for LM4s ( even a tuned manual Rb26 Stagea ?) I hope not The car already has 18" wheels but they are boring and LM s look the dogs .
  9. As the title says that is the plan. But do skyline wheels fit stageas - is the offset ok . Other info - I have fitted gold brembos all round from a 34 GTR ( only a few mods needed ) and wonder if the larger discs with make any difference Thankls in advance cos the wheels are too dear to get it wrong
  10. Gtr seats definately fit because I have a set of recaros for a gtr in my stagea. I know the recaros are for a Stagea as when the car came into the uk the standard seats were in the recaro boxes with skyline written on them
  11. I have just fitted set of gold brembos from a R34 GTR to my RS Four. (front and rear) They needed some modification but nothing major. ( I will post details or pics if anyone is interested) What the car now needs is a 'Stop' for the master brake cylinder Does anybody know which Skyline one fits

I have bought an RB 26 engine to fit in my Stagea but want to keep the automatic box ( for the moment) The engine would be standard internals with late r34 gtr garrett t25 turbos apexi induction , full exhaust and have an HKS evc5 fitted. Question is ....What type of exhaust is best (not toooo loud) and will the auto box be ok with this set up as I have seen the occassional auto 260RS .Also keeping it auto presumably makes it much easier ? Any help much appreciated as you seem to be miles ahead down under with stgea mods (and cricket)

The nismo exhaust wont fit - because of the body kit the pipe extension after the rear box is not long enough and although the system is very similar the system hits the fuel tank. back to the drawing board. Spec at present. Body - Full body kit inc rs260 rear spoiler , carbon MASA f/wings and lightened bonnet . MASA grille Also has aftermarket clear back lights (which completely change the look of the car) Car is painted in pearlescent met green ( goes mauve/black in the sunlight) 17" A.V.S Model 7 wheels with goodyear F1s 235 45 17. Suspension - Tein adjustable and car has beeen lowered, Engine has blitz induction kit and dump valve and has apexi boost controller Rear Exhaust box is blitz nur spec but rest is standard and soon to surrender to Mr Rust It does have a small front mounted intercooler but its too small to make much difference, Interior Front seats are two tone recaros Black/grey (skyline seats will fit ) Door panels and center glove box are also black seude. Has Apexi EL 2 60mm gauges ( white face) for boost with ex temp feul press and oir temp in A Pillar . Kenwood stereo /dvd head unit that I am still working out after a month .UV glass all round ( not front) It may have some other mods because it is seems much quicker than the other RS Four I have and handling is much better . Future mods First thing uprate the brakes before I hit something ( R 33 Brembos will fit with the larger wheels) and exhaust then who knows.........
  15. I have the chance to get a Full 3" NISMO exhaust inc downpie and decat pipe for my RS Four . The car has quite a few mods and badly needs a proper exhaust . There are none in the uk as Stageas are still very rare. I know the Stagea exhaust is longer but dont know where or if the exhust is even close. Certainly the downpipe is the same. Can anyone help with any info.

These figures are about in line with my observations : 1997 cars are rare but do exist ( production started around Nov) 1998 cars are much easier to find and are available in some number 1999 cars about the same no as 1998 After that they seem to be harder to find but possibly less come up for sale because people dont sell these so much with lower mileage Now if anyone could find these production figures it would really help me (as well as being info that would interest all Rs 260 owners ) The problem is that all Stageas were given chassis numbers in the order they were made regardless of which model .
