All that comes to mind is 1 2 3 4 LA LA LA...LAl la la la la la la....................................

Wish I had a rubber factory............I can buy a car with wheels at those prices. I agree don't run them on the road................dangerous when cold and wet. Buy a set with rims for the track...................that is all

Removing Rb26 Sump Without Taking Motor Out
700HP-GTR33 replied to Duncan's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Not an easy job...... Was quoted on replacement oil pump because my seal was always going. The work shop thought it would be easy....bugger....it was like 2 cm's off fitting, could not even lever it cause it might have caused damage to the pump.(N1 pumps have a lower pick up) Have you got a stock pump replacement or N1 variety? I was told a stock one does not need the engine out.........correct me if I am wrong. They did what Risking suggests. Would have been easier to take the motor out at the end. -
I don't know where you shop around , but last I looked a good GTR33 was still fetching $30K Plus and this is stock. As for your R32GTR...show me one for 15K in good condition...body and engine wise and I will buy it Tomorrow. When you have owned a GTR and put some money(10K) into it with upgrades etc....No...and I mean NO gt-st will keep up with it on the track......on the drag strip...around corners...up hills.....should I go on... And this is with a stock motor...if you have some work done on the internals...well lets just say..not many cars on the road can come close..around corners..on the track...in drag race up hills..... Before you comment on a GTR....drive one around for a few days.....you might just realize what I am talking about.

Good size 400/10/18.....you are going to need to modify a 44 gallon drum slightly. Not to mention flares.

good luck finding any 10 inch rims around Oz.

LOL...Australian Dollar has gone up..but the price of Petrol and Steel have too. And due to the China's economy wanting these for their needs.....we pay what Bridgestone thinks we can afford...........

hows your fuel pump...making any noise? how does it feel like jerking at 2500 or pulling back when you hit it? My guess would be fuel pump first, sparks second then injectors and AFM third.

Gtr Rb26dett For Sale
700HP-GTR33 replied to SUGO's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Year? KM's? Engine Number? Is it working? Why do you have an engine in your living room? I will be interested if all is ok.... -
You need to firstly find a tuner you are happy with and discuss your budget. Then ask him what he prefers to use. Saying you don't want to use an AFM is in my opinion not an option for some tuners. Here is a link for you http://www.motec.com.au/ems.htm

I have had some try to push my buttons at the lights, young and dumb. But you are correct most who are in the know don't bother. The cams are rocking the engine is purring, this scares most clubys, fpvs and exotics. Not long ago I heard the fastest GTR's in Australia are kept by Maserati owners, don't know if there is much truth in this. You should in my opinion drive a GTR in Stock form then slightly moded form to come to a conclusive decision.

She says it takes along time to learn how to get the suction right. Oh Samantha....I wish you were here...

I have had the sump out without taking the Engine out before. But yes..I agree it may be easier -
You never asked if he changed cams ,has adjustable pulleys or has an after market computer. But yes........power output is larger with the 2530's and lag is greater. If you are not wishing to change anything else on the car except for Turbo's you have made the right choice.

Mod your RB20......but don't spend to much money on it. Buy second hand parts and just enjoy the drive. If your looking for a faster car...get a faster car. That is all.
-
I stated less likely... If you want to go around a corner at 100ks' an hour. . I know which car I would prefer to be in for safety. By all means I am not in couraging dangerous driving. Why would you need 400RWKW's in a R32 anyway........blow your tyres up with maybe

You are chasing by memory top feed low resistance injectors. Click on vehicle compatibility if there is no listing. http://www.nengun.com/blitz/1000cc-fuel-injectors http://www.nengun.com/hks/fuel-injectors http://www.nengun.com/power-enterprise/injectors http://www.nengun.com/nismo/high-performance-injectors 600cc max http://www.nengun.com/sard/injectors up to 1000cc http://www.nengun.com/trust-greddy/injectors-720cc The above are the best items you can use on the stock fuel rails. Others have bought injectors off ebay and have been sorry...so be warned.

What Supporting Mods Will I Require?
700HP-GTR33 replied to Got Boost?'s topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Supporting mods is the question asked here. Oil cooler...that is all Clutch will fails soon if stock. If you are chasing more power Injectors 555 Nismo type, New fuel pump...Nismo straight drop in works a treat, and dont forget the Nismo fuel regulater as well. Re-tune. -
Borrow a AFM....see if this fixes it. At the same time change your fuel regulator. Your pressure is being tested prior to this unit and not after.

Gt3037s Pro Vs Gt3071r Vs Gt3076r
700HP-GTR33 replied to Justa32's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
You will need to give more info for anyone to advice you on this. Little Lag...400rwhp.....? What are your mods? -
Faulty fuel pump? Blockage in the fuel filter? Injectors need cleaning? Coils are arching? Spark plugs gapped incorrectly? AFM ? When you say ping..you mean.starving of fuel..like a cut out...or a fart, kick and bang? Is it fuel or ignition? What is your revs and AFR reading when it pings? At this point what is your ignition timing? More info required

Going Ball Bearing On An R32 Gtr
700HP-GTR33 replied to paulR32gtr's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Do not use a oil restrictor if you have one built into the turbo. I have heard this can cause back pressure on the oil lines. If you still want to restrict some flow......have a smaller diameter oil line made up. IE..take your line to H.I.S. Hose and ask them to make you another line using your connectors. -
No.......not worth it at all... Unless you have a micky mouse 32...and I mean $5K paint, custom interior, gauges etc etc. If I were you.....get a GTR32....at least your less likely to wrap yourself around a pole.

People forget how advanced this motor was for its time....... They also forget how advanced a GTR was for its time..... Not many people do the right thing when it comes to maintenance...even changing oil. Not many tuners will advice that they should maybe think of rebuilding the motors.... Not many who blow there motors have a rev limiter or correctly functioning parts ..ie fuel pump...oil pump and sometimes water pump. So...the answer to your question... Poor maintenance..poor set up..(on a 15 year old engine)..without much knowledge on the engines condition and its previous use can cause lots of engine failures. You say your friend has done 3 motors.... How does he drive? How high does he rev the motor? Has the car got a after market computer? How often does he change the oil? Please outline yourself before saying these sort of things. I know of one such case...... Every time a second hand motor was ordered. The HKS cams came off the old motor The Turbo's N1 Group A were taken off the old motor. Then put back with a stock computer. Hi revs..with Cams that only work on a after market computer caused all failures. There was no rev limiter inplace...so regularly it would rev to 9K I have a GTR33 96....the first things I did was to change oil pump..,water pump, fuel pump and timing belt. I never revved it high until I had a Powerfc..tune and correct boost controller inplace. High revs without quick engine oil changes(filling to 1 litre over mark) can damage cranks. Especially stock cranks.
