  1. Lots of things can go wrong........ Get it looked by a good mechanic...... I would suggest you change all the pumps when you get it though..ie..fuel...water...and most of all oil. Oh..yeah..if it has a after market computer..get it re-tuned..that is if you have no Dyno sheet.   2. You can get it to rock like a bull if you like...talk to your tuner. You will need a tune after the install....you need adjustable cam pulleys if your tuner is to get the maximum out of your set up.....but make sure you tell him were you intend to drive it. You will need a better fuel pump...larger injectors..555 or above..and regulator if you don't have them already Good luck.
  3. I got rocking. Not much..but enough to hide my face when a mum and kids stop next to me. They might think I am a young turk..when I am a old one...lol. Poncams....no more needed..if you don't race. Great rock and great low to mid range......they are good at high RPM to if you have the right engine internals that allow you to go past 9000RPM.
  4. How much do you want to rock at the lights....?LOL What other mods. do you have? Have you Dumps..full exhaust? The 9.15 Lift Tomie Poncams is a direct bolt on(Might need some new shims though). This will also work with a standard computer..if you decide to take yours off for some reason or another. They have the best low,mid..but not high response. The higher the lift generally means the Higher power at higher rpm. I have them on mine...with Garrett 2860-5(Equivalent to 2530's) Run through the RB26 Turbo Upgrade and you will see power results...bear in mind..I have a street/track tune...   8. I feel sorry for everyone who will be losing their jobs in Geelong. The new motor is far over-due, and we were never going to be competitive if we built it here. I do have to say though...the government has a lot to blame for this. All those years of giving this company money every time they were thinking of reducing staff. They should have tooled up for the next motor with that money. If they are not willing to commit to Australia..they should shut shop.... I mean there is no use giving them money anymore..just to stay here.
  9. There not cars.....just buckets of metal/bolts put together for consumer appeal..nothing more. 350Z..for track....who would want to race that large ass piece of metal. RX-8 for drift.......no turbo...lol. Here have what I have been taking......more crap from the japs.
  10. Black......Has the n1 Engine and everything that goes with it..pump..etc.(even though it is a rebuild) Plus the k's are more real...16000k's on white..lol...what did he do..park it for 8+years..no way.

  12. The Japanese Market invented drift because there was no quick cars being produced anymore. When the bubble burst ,the loans were all called in. We are lucky that Nissan still survives today,not to mention others that nearly closed up shop. If it was not for European car manufacturers all would have been torn apart and sold off. I agree...what is coming out of the land of the rising sun is laking a bit of character and vision. It is not their fault and has been forced on them because of the shit they got themselves into.
  13. A year or so ago..I saw a GTR34V Spec...silver..custom everything..I mean everything. I put on my glasses when the bonnet was opened..it had..listen to this 800kws(flywheel)..lol This was micky mouse..trust me on this..clean with at least 40K bolt ons..let alone engine work. Asking price was $90K. In comparison I cannot see why it could be this price... As Beer Baron has stated..the market dictates the price...not just the seller. I would fell sorry for the guy/gurl who purchases this at that price.....but then again, they are praying for the saying to be true. A SUCKER BORN EVERY MINUTE
  14. Touchy touchy touchy.... Smurf..thank you for the info you have provided.... What I was trying to say guys..in around about manner is that from the technology they have today..we are all still getting what they want us to drive... We say power.....we want more power....they up the computer timing...change a setting and we have what we want. Why don't we ask.......able to deliver power..in a straight line..without breaking traction? Why don't we ask.......able to deliver this power around a corner? Or the best one...why do we have to drive 6L motors..when a 4L or even a 3L would be as good. Next thing everyone will be telling me...would be...a 10L motor would have heaps of torque....yeah maybe for pulling a train. I am not saying a gtr is the ants pants of everything...just because I have one. The power figures and the motor sizes vs the weight of these cars still even that they have improved by the percentages still leaves them short of world motor development. The next couple of years you will all see motors...displacement of 1/2 the one holden and ford are using, producing nearly twice as much as these motors. And the funny thing is..it will be usable power. Just my 2c worth If you all want to discuss this..please do not attack the person behind the comment..that is just rude..

  16. Showing low k's on the clock is easy....japs know this well. I would if I was you consider a local..it is far less pain you need to go through...trust me..there are some horror stories out there.
  17. There are many places in Melbourne that will bring one in for you. Ring around and get to know them. Not many though will have a GTR34 for sale though,but you never know..they have dropped in price. I bought my gtr33 from Gran Tourismo Autos (Spencer St)..they sometimes hold gtr34's in stock.   18. These cars all are very heavy...with no 4 wheel drive. An Evo...WRX...or gtr32/33/34 will all beat those times in standard clothes. Technology is always improving..but our Aus. cars are also getting heavy. Please do not compare these cars to a GTR. GTST/GTT may be a better comparison..rear wheel drive. A stock gtr does..or did...13.4s 1/4 mile I believe all the above cars are 13.7s and above..most around 15s..LOL. I have no idea what you are after....do you want to buy a gtr, and just want to know if they are better at the track? YES YES YES......they are race breed...and band from v8Aus racing because they were to good...lol So forget the dyno. results..they mean nothing...take a ride...you will feel the power.

I am not for American type cars..but I just saw a Chrysler Nitro...not driven one yet...But..thumbs up for looks...and cheaper than $65K.Got that hummer look..I like Nissan Murano is crap, don't know how you are all fond of it. A all new XTrail is coming out soon ..looks like the old one..just a little longer and wider. they look like small compacts..but trust me..sit inside one and you will see why they are popular..especially back leg room.(I have one) So for me...New Chrysler Nitro..or wait for the New Nissan XTrail. Fully optioned(leather/sunroof/climate0...under $45K..on the road. And 3 years to 5 years warranty. Then the $20K left upgrade into a gtr33...lol..that is if they give it to you. Good luck. Edited..:..Yes if they want to spend the $65K...CX7 all the way(with 20's)...great looks.
  20. Paul, It is good to be different.....and you should do as you like. Others here say not a RB26...I tend to agree. Most great drift cars normally use the same motor the manufacturer put in. they do this and modify/upgrade 1- Suspension. 2- pistons,rods,crank,cams, turbo etc etc. By putting a stock RB26 motor into a silvia is not going to get you what your looking for. But if that is not going to faise you. Get some -7 garrett turbo's(mount them to the top)as R31Nismoid suggested...tomie poncams(drop in)....555 nismo injectors/pump/reg.....pfc....avcr.... Include supporting mods..oil cooler,new oil pump,..etc..etc... Get a drift tune...1.2 Bar max...then you will smoke those tyres....lol Good luck with your project.

Does not look anything like those gtrs...lol..... It is clean..will even make it pretty for you on your day. So....house...church(or other).....venue(celebration). let me know..if this is what you are looking for
  22. Don't do that...next large puddle you will hit will be your last for the motor....keep it high and out of the rain. Oh...I know why I liked it and choose it...MY avatar that is...could stare at it for hours....lol
  23. I think judging by the pricing on the Garrett turbo kit$2750Aus you have blown him out of the water..this set up will cost more like $20K US. The cams you need are Tomie Poncam.(260) 9.15 lift..drop in..but will need some new shims..after the measuring....might need 1 to 20. The cams can come in a set with adjustable cam gears as well as stated...good pricing for both I would suggest changing the stud-bolts(I think that is what they are called)(tomei) as well which keep the cams down... Also change the cam gear bolts,and all belts. You will need a PFC computer,boost controller and some one who knows how to tune this otherwise you will have lots of lag. Bad economy(not that yanks worry about that) or detonation..not to mention high knock levels. Oh..don't forget money for the clutch,brake,suspension and tyre(tire)lol upgrades because you will need them. this could cost you all your 10K..lol. why didn't you just buy a gtst...why....??????????
  24. Buy a Nismo set..I think they have adr approval..because they are a NIssan arm. Not having a good feel in the brakes can be a bit sus..I would get your disks and pads at the front checked out first..they could be crap Anyway...all these ideas cost money..so do it right the first time..... cheers
