Oxygen sensors......??? Faulty coil pack.......??? Faulty wiring or Spark plugs....????? AFM's..(High knock levels)...................??? These can all send the light on. Best is to read the codes....find the error and address the problem. Cheers

Posted and discussed many a times in the New Skyline thread..........but hey.....why not have my say again. Lets just say that Renault...and Gosh are only interested in Marketing and sales.....not too much about ,performance and car enthusiasts. I mean ...Why would they take so long to produce this car...and why have they been so public with it.....maybe just checking the interest? It is true though....most real sport car manufacturers have or have nearly gone bust or had to be bailed out. The image is more important than the performance. The car is for the Mums and dads and tries to market to their sporting needs....like 4 wheel drives. Who is going to take this out to the track?..lol....Who takes their X5's out into the Bush? If you really like fast cars...(race cars or drag cars)This thing will cost you big $$$$ to mod...because everything will have to be custom. So keep you pennies...buy a GTR34,33or32(Depending on your pref. or $$$) modify it to your liking and never look back....you will be on a winner.

700HP-GTR33 replied to Rezz's topic in General Automotive Discussion
RB.....can also stand for.. Real Bad-ass Real Ballsy Real Bitch or if your Aussie.....real bute. Or on the other hand can stand for... Just another Engine serial number...ie...VL....VP....VR or my favourite.....VS...Very slow...lol. Response Balance.....there is nothing on my car that says.......Responce Balance on my glove-box like the Radial tunned suspension Holden had... So everyone move on to better pastures.......I quite like the sound of....Real Bitch though... -

Road Racing Your Personal Street Skyline?
700HP-GTR33 replied to Sayajin's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Oh...so I need to drink more to get my six pack...thanks . Sayajin.....sorry...thought you wanted to kill a few people there...lol. Give it a go...take it easy drive on your limits...not the car limits and have some fun..... Only place you should get to see if you have spent the money in the right modes.... Cheers -
Then came a supercharger(6L super..lol)...wonder if they tested the last ones we sent them that were modified?

Reliable GTR?.......Did I hear right...depends on who drove it and what mods were...on...off...on...off...on.(boost1.7Bar)..off. if you catch my drift.......Allow $40K all up for a decent one (on the road)with some modes and has been kept well...you will know when you see one of these. 30K...budget...get a newer type car....GTTR34...a little boost and you will be happy...especially coming form a 300zx(tt). Answer to your next question: Cost for a r33 gtr which states it has 100K on the clock(that is if that is correct) can be around 1K all up. This is to renew all the oils...timing belt change...spark plug change..general 100k service. After reading a few things on gtr's you will know that renewing the turbo is the first thing you should do..that is if they are stock.. Good luck with your choice...and as stated... a covered topic....100Times.

A lot of us would be driver those cars if we didn't have to pay 3 times as much, than in the US of A. Get a list of prices they pay for a...Porsche...Merc....Bmw.. etc...and you will cry.

Bored with your life........don't take the life of others. Get on the track....... -
Just buy a Z32(Bosch) AFM........search the forum for the part number...I am sure it has been posted. Then confirm with part number before you buy it. You have an after-market computer?

Can A Pod Filter (apexi) Reduce Boost?
700HP-GTR33 replied to adzR34's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Take it off and check to see if there is anything in the pipe. Who did the installation? You or a mechanic? I have heard some horror stories about rags getting sucked into the turbo and blocking the inter-cooler. Not that this is whats happened....just trying to help....gauges just don't go when you install a pod filter. Cheers -
I think.....(no dis-respect to you)....you attract these flies. Get some...squatters to have a talk to them....you have really been to nice. Not only by not naming them...but by not swearing at them. Good luck getting your money back...........another thread...buyer beware.

Yes and NO... Some just have boost controllers and dial up higher settings......or thrash their cars when they are cold. I have heard of some melting Pistons because tuners have not noticed spark plugs being burnt. This is due to lower fuel levels being delivered to the chamber, correction is quite easy...increase fuel on that injector...etc..etc..etc. Some fail due to the fuel pump going at high revs. Some just unlucky too...cam gears....bolts on cam gears or timing belts breaking...... Some failures have been caused by oil pumps on most RB motors...such a bad design..as I have stated before. But the worst one I have heard was a oil relocation filter being blocked. All motors can blow without the correct...safety and tuner settings and not just the people who chase power and have all the right stuff fitted.

+1 Sound like you have the groupA(Garrett-7) (N1)type...... Great time....1.78 odd 60f.......190km.....11.9 second. My car passes the line at 200km.......1.7 odd 60f....12.3 seconds...drag meet times. Must have a great kick in 2nd gear.....what tyres have you got? Was this a race type meeting were you were up against others ...or was like how most manufactures give the times for the car....... IE Not taking re-action times on launch.
-
Sorry...you use the same part again.....keep everything the same...just stick back everything that is broken...lol
-
It is the pinnacle of Japanese performance cars...racing heritage....and purposefully build to race. Mechanically Unique4wd/4ws/2xTurbo's...and every know possible after-market product to enhance it. We are lucky because most of the parts we discuss are 1/3 the price they were 5 to 6 years ago. GTR Tax..lol....Its more like a go fast tax.

The GT2560r Turbo's are a old code number by Garrett. Today they have 4 types....ss,N1,2530,gtrs........these have numbers on the end of GT2860R.......ie...-7,-9,-5,-10 respectively...each having enough spurt to support...300,320,350,400HP respectively. Your pass at 190km's an hour is more to me like a low 12 second car......what is your 60f time....? What type turbo is it?
-
Maybe at 8000RPM.........he will need to do cams etc aswell then he will...cheers
-
Look at the Alchemist post...then click on the two different turbo's on the same car graph GT-SS Vs 2530. I rest my case
-
Each?....
-
Read all the thread Angus...then let your mate know that they aren't what they are made out to be... If he does...cams...and all other modes..he will get to 300rwkw's+ Oh you will see my mods...and tune...car runs great....take note of the power figures for most...not all...because some have dyno reading that are out of this world...

R32 GTR rebuilt engine with all the usual support mods etc etc Airflow improvements: Tomei cams 260/260 9.2mm lift HKS cam gears set at zero/zero at the moment... HKS GT-SS turboes with HKS split dumps HKS Super Drager exhuast system with no cat Flowed and ported head ( work of art actually ) Greedy inlet piping kit 8.8:1 compression 0.5mm over forgies PFC computor tuned with FC Datalogit by myself > awesome software a must have! Boost running on the 12psi wastegates boost controller turned off 257rwkw on a dyno dynamics 2wd dyno on pump gas 95 octane at 12psi boost Will post dyno graphs very soon cheers, Mike UPDATE: boost increased up to 18 psi and made 290rwkw. Boost dropping off though at 6000rpm onwards. Made 324rwkw on av-gas in another car at 22psi. Pretty much at their max at this level. TAKEN OFF THE RB26 STICKY ON TURBO UPGRADES.......... I don't know what I am talking about..ffs

Really 300RWKW's on which Dyno.. at what RPM...with what mods...using what boost? Can he use 300RWKW's on the street if he gets it at 7500RPM.? Does he know what a gtr feels like with only 300rwkw's? .....lots of questions need to be asked to make it a logical explanation. GT2530's I will state as the best upgrade on a gtr and most people who have driven one with them, will never use gt-ss turbo's. I use them and there is nothing but smile on my face when I hit full boost.

So true....to many things need to be looked at...thought about...cost of replacing taken into account when you have everything open....the thing is...a 32 is getting a bit long in the tooth...if you don't replace or fix things as you upgrade turbo's etc....you will be asking for trouble...that is why I firmly believe in fixing and replacing things before they break. On the other hand ...most prefer to break thing first then fix them. Either way...it still costs about the same....... I mean...if the oil pump fails....cost for re-build...about $4k to $5k +..depending on what you want to go in. To replace the oil pump and do the mod's as you have stated $4K. Because the motor will be out to do the turbo's some of that cost is saved.
