  1. Got nabbed by a camera on Cooper st......Epping A ute at dusk hiding behind a pole...looked like work men to me....ffs. Next it will be cameras in the car taking photos when you speed and automatically deducts points and money from your account....

  5. This is my point.........GTR's were made for the Track first...gtr32Bathurst.... Later they were developed into drag and then drift. I am just stating what my thoughts on the history of the car is. Hypothetically if we change the motor to say a V type and not straight 6 is it still a gtr? And if we take away 4Wheel drive....and use it for drift with a gtst motor....is it still a gtr? Beer-Baron....did not mean to dampen the thread, or high-jack it. Good luck with your choice....
  6. I agree But the issue is here and has always been here.... Does replacing twin turbo's on a gtr make it hybrid. Lets face it guys.....a gtr is a track car this is why the twin turbos are there. The BMW has just launched a twin set up and knows the advantages of this after so many years of Nissan using them(2) IS A GTR STILL A GTR IF YOU USE ONE TURBO? Should be a topic...sticky. The answer for me is NO. Because most people Who convert are only after power figures and drag times..........and do not care about track use. Get a DJetro PFC fitted ,this will do away with lag and use -7 or -9's..GARRETT.get a set of twin aftermarket dumps........you will have a highly responsive car over 300kws that you can race everyday and drive to work aswell....   11. Hello again, I have been driving around trying to pin point the exact position on the map tracer. I believe the tracer is in-accurate, when the hand controller is reading 940rpm when I have stopped the map tracer is reading that I am 400-800RPM.That is the first set of figures. Infact the timing is 15 at that point but the hand controller is stating I am at 20odd+ Anyway having said that at 4th gear 2570RPM at low throttle I had a miss today have not changed anything and adj.was set at 0. Have tried to duplicate the event at higher RPM(as this is where the knock75 occurred) and have been unable to. The weather is cool and that may make a diff. Paul, Can the temp. setting on the FC have some sort of impact on the IGN/TIMING? I am going to decress all the figures by one on the ign/timing at 2400/2800. Is this ok? Then I will see if the miss occurs again. Cheers Tekin

  14. 73K....is that original with papers? Edited It is more important that they all read similar figures than 3 to be good and 3 to be bad. If you use it daily....just drive it around and don't worry about comp. tests. If you want to freshen up the motor,for track use and have 4 to 5K in your pocket....re-build it. Cheers
  15. Do not take engine out...this leads to other issues. Take off all your intake mods,tyre and anything else that enables you to change them on the car. ANSWER,........LEAVE IT IN
  16. These are ball-bearing turbos? Don't they need less oil,why did you drill the holes larger on the turbo's? Am I reading this right? BB's need restrictors on the inlet
  17. Hello all, Just helping out my nephew with a problem he is having. He has taken his car back to the workshop 3 times and still has a problem with overheating. Can you unblock a radiator by flushing it? Can you have a air blockage if the thing has not been bleed properly? Is there any other sorts of things that can be causing this re-occuring problem? Thanks in advance

  19. Do you know the age of the N1's What RPM was boost coming on when they were healthy? I heard the 32N1's were laggy. Invest in some new ones, your better off...the price of a rebuild ends up nearly the same as a new set. Or fix the one with the shaft play only. If they are ceramic type change them soon .

  21. Last guy I saw add a vent ended up filling his air intake with water. If you are thinking of doing this make sure you have the water issue sorted.
  22. Head gasket......change the oil and see if there is water in it.
  23. Thanks Paul, I will use Map tracer to identify the exact point at which I am having the problem. It is obvious it is at more than one location. I will then note the figures and their value and take 2 off the ignition timing on the exact point and 1 on both sides of that point. Or should I take 3 off the point ,2 the next 2 point either way and then 1 point off the 2 point either way? Cheers Tekin
  24. OK -2 today...noticed some missfiring between 2800RPM and 3100Rpm under slight load. Idle is ok but not as good as yesterday,s -3. What does the graph represent in the ign/timing area? 20/20 grid is horizontal?...vertical?
  25. There is a formula to work out true values when this mod is done...its just that it involves work for tuners....so they opt. out. If one tuner did the calibration after the higher voltage...this could be used in all the other cars after that. We are the stupid ones that think by the Z32 and thats it.....especially for a gtr that needs TWO.
