  3. Is your filter plastic or metal construction. Sometimes this can be a faulty unit. I have had 2 fuel filter go on me to date...both nissans. But yeah...you just picked up your car so, get it checked out....You can normally feel with your hand around the hoses to see if there is a leak. You can also smell were it is coming from normally.   5. When I got back from Heathcote last week 26Degree heat I filled the tank with petrol and parked it in my garage. After I came out around 30 minutes later a puddle of petrol was coming from the rear right corner. This I was told was the expantion of petrol in the tank and excess is realeased. The car was hot ,I filled it too much . This is also the first time this has ever happened to me. Hope this makes you breath a bit better, knowing your not flammable as your driving along
  6. Firstly, How did you get the washing machine into an engine bay? And the way I drive I would need a 20 litre tank of water for my FMIC so, Put the washing machine in the back seats and the 20 litre of water in the front passenger seat. That way you can wash your clothes and not get thirsty .

  9. Mine sounds like that but does not go as hard.....9.2 seconds is quick.
  10. AFM................. When I hit a slight ridge or bump the car feels like its just run out of petrol and only for a split second then is ok. I have a new petrol pump ,regulator and injectors. I thought it was the ignitor not getting any earth,. Now do a search and get the DIY AFM info like what i am just about to do.
  11. Have you seen this thing on the road. The rear tail-light look like they are on the outside of the car. It is just another washing -machine wanting to be a Plasma TV.or sorry LCD Screen. But hey Toyota's sell even if they look ok....people buy them for their reliability. I think though this is to steep if they are asking 40K plus for something FWD and no Turbo that is medium in size. If they made it AWD like the Subarus they would sell shit loads

  14. Hello again, All RB motors have a potentially dodgy oil pump, RB26 out of a 32 has a greater chance due to its age. If you want to do track work safely ,get a larger sump and as Ash has stated, get some restrictors to stop the top from getting to much oil. As you are getting a larger sump get the oil and water pumps. Jun oil pump with collar if you are really serious. Also get the Bearings ,Bolts and timing belt changed . Then you might have a reliable car There are too many things that can go wrong with the RB26 motor....if not looked after properly. The supporting mods. are endless but the Mod itself must be maintained for it to work. Anyway like you and Ash, I too am a modoholic (?) . Thus, I am on SAU to navigate my next steps.   15. Reset your Ecu.....there is some instruction on here somewhere. See if that fixes your problem
  16. Hello there, Have you got the cover on the coils on? And if not, does the ignitor pack have an earth and good airflow to cool it down. Also what people forget to do when starting a hot car is to step on the gas pedal as you turn the key. This is not good for when the engine is cold but is a manufacturers recommendation when hot. Your spark plugs also could be getting a bit warm with track use and this can also cause your problem. What heat range are they? Cheers Tekin
  17. When you start it up and it starts to play up again,give your AFM a tap...not to hard though. See if that fixes the problem.
  18. My Nissan Vector years ago just died also at a set of traffic light. Could not start it after that, would not even crank. It was the ECU. You said you had crank but no start...... You also said there has been some work on your car recently involving you AFM's. More than likely your tune has been reset or your plugs and or coils have some problems. Did the car run well before this happened?
  19. Have you changed the oil pump? Did you install the cooler? Do you have a catch-can? I had my front main seals changed 3 times before I gave the mechanic a N1 oil pump. I was also having oil pressure problems. Luckily for me I had acted at the right time, the screws were nearly about to fall off. Sometimes too there could be a blockage in the line, rare as it seems, some have been unlucky. Get everything checked out before you go out again. or you may have to build quicker than you thought...   22. For the car...it is $3000 over-priced. If you really like it and get a 5 year warranty and have a better deal on it....say $15900 on the road, that would be the deal I would be trying out. For that price I would go GTR32, ,,there are some that are very-clean for that sort of price$18K
