Best Tyres Under $300 Each
700HP-GTR33 replied to Freeman's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Hi there, Thanks for this. The reason I stated this was since I have had them I have seen hardly much tyre wear and comfort has been great compared to the Jap. Advans that were on then previously. I have seen Hangkook test these tyres on the track on a R34GTR going around the Nur. Ring. in Germany. They are Y rated...ie 300KM's an hour and have a warranty on wear. Sure they have just launched the new K107's but these are 200 Dollars more each. So my answer to this question asked on this thread is. Hangkook K104's 245/45/17 are Y rated, great tyres that I am using at the moment. Tested at 300KM's an Hour, track proven......for a street car. They cost around $275 Each fitted and balanced which is under $300 Each. Cheers Tekin -
Hi again, I drive the car every-day and straight line performance and wet day ability is my concern . Lets face it ,if you try to fling a gtr around a Melbourne Street Corner at 80KM's an hour in the wet no-matter what performance tyre ,you are asking for trouble. Also you need to take into account the car is driven more than 10000KM's per year. I am looking at doing some track work soon ,but I am a Newbie at this so I will not be testing my abilities to the limit. I will post up a picture soon ...so all can envy. Thanks again for your replies. Cheers Tekin

Hi there, I was told that you could trip up the voltage on the AFM's on a GTR to get them to recognise higher flow. The flow is then calculated differently and entered into the your computer with the Adjustments made by the Tuner. This is apparently what they do in Japan and works quite well Is there any logic or truth in this? I would love to know. Cheers Tekin

Who Bought All The A'pexi Turbo's?
700HP-GTR33 replied to Bliksem's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Hi there, Japan has been on holidays. Some Manufactures close earlier and some after for a 2 to 3 week shut down. You must of got one supplier who went on holidays later. Thats the only logical solution i can find. My HKS dumps have been on order for 3 weeks. I am getting them next week. If you need some Garrett ones I can get then earlier for you. Cheers -
Hello, Where is it happening? What time? Do you think it is a scam? Cheers

Hi again' I have a Noval idea. Get both of them to autograph our stickers before we get them made. That way we get their signature displayed on all our Skylines. We could pass them a couple of bucks and say that they have made their previous followers and current ones really happy.

Why Is Nissan Turning silly And Lame
700HP-GTR33 replied to craig V8 taffe's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Hi Daniel, I could not buy a gtr32 New because it was priced at $110,000Aus in 1990. The NEW GTR will be built for the Yanks in Left hand drive.(INFINITY BADGED) They will have to tool up to sell to England,Australia,Japan for Right hand drive. Plus the thing is a stand alone item with no other sibblings. NO GTT,GTX,STAGEA which appeal to the general public. Good luck if you think Renault , a European Company is going to produce a Porsche 911 Killer. And loose cred by selling it to us for $150KAus. Where would the logic be to that . Porsche 911 Turbo $340KAus last I looked. But maybe they have this worked out and are willing to give us a RENAULT GTR Porche killer cheaply The Yanks buy a Hummer for $40KUS fully loaded with leather.etc. and sell it to us for $200KAus. Just stating the past...Even the Q45Infinity landed in Australia and sold for $120KAus..or did you forget. Cheers -

Hi, I am getting a set of Hangkook 275/35/18 K104Ventus Y rated fitted and balanced for $310Each.... I have been running a new set for 1 year 245/45/17 K104's $255 Each and they have not missed a beat. I would highly recommend these to anybody who wants their performance tyres to last. Nexens sounds very cheap for a performance tyre....what rating are they? Do they have 255/265/275/280/285 Sizes in these? Cheers -
Second that and agree you have increased your cars value... I wish I had them on my dash....

Hello, I will have some spare parts after mods. to my GTR33. Just thinking would a S14 or S15 Silvia be the perfect car for these spares. The following is a list of what I will have soon as spares. GTR33 Fuel pump Injectors Coil pack Intercooler Turbo's Rims with wheels. Do these parts fit ,or would they be better on an R32? Or do I sell them and get some money back on mods. already complete. American Needs Help With R34 Gtr
700HP-GTR33 replied to Street Show's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Thanks Andrew forgot he had already purchased one over there, I suppose i was to busy reading how every-one can spend some-one elses money If your R34 is stock , UPGRADE THE FOLLOWING GT-RS Turbo's,Injectors,Fuel Pump.Fuel Regulator,Power-fc,Boost controller. N1, Oil pump,Sump extention,Water Pump,Catch can,Oil Cooler,Trans.Oil Cooler, Diff Oil Cooler,Coils,Spark plugs.Suspension Components and Spring(OHLINS) ENGINE -(Adjustable cams,Tomie(PONCAMS )Heavy duty Spring and Bolts) Braided Brake,Clutch lines and Cusco Brake stop kit......With at least front Brakes upgraded to Porche type.Air intake and exhaust with dumps I think I have covered the basics without getting 2.7(TOMIE)or2.8(HKS) Engine upgrades, which you can buy aswell and rebuilt And you still need to upgrade your Rims and tyres....because you have spent so much money on it by now You need every-one to notice you. GOOD LUCK -
Hello again, Made my choice today...finally. Ventus 104 same as i am running now 245/45/17 Could not bare to part with another $800 more for the others 275/35/18......$310 Each fitted and balanced.TOTAL $1240 Kyle my first set of tyres..were crap(fronts) I skidded and nearly hit a BMW and the next day I hit a pole. Not much damage,$300 to repair(Repair bumper and repaint ) Just pride When it is wet and you loose rear traction on take off the fronts don't respond very-well when you hit then as soon as you have taken off . Just letting you know....I am sure you know any-way. Also I think tyres have gone up in price lately...due to oil prices. The yoko's i had a quote on were the ADVAN AV02 pattern they have a AV03 but $530Each Thank you all for your input...I will have them on Monday fitted and balanced.Photo to follow. At Northern Car Care in Campbellfield/Melbourne. Cheers Tekin

American Needs Help With R34 Gtr
700HP-GTR33 replied to Street Show's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Hi, Why bother spending that sort of money....I think GTA in Melbourne have one for 90KAus GTR34 700 Plus HP at the wheels. Check out their site. I have seen the engine bay....lets say you need sun-glasses... Apparently it has something like 40K Bolt ons and God knows how much manual work went into it. Anyway half the fun is having an input into the build. But if you have the money and want some-one who has built them from stock before, talk to them about power levels needed and go from there. Good luck. -
Same picture but 80% thats an A result...great..
-
Yeah I suppose they just shovel the shit around.... I would love a car competition where people design there own cars and present them to car manufactures. Then the manufactures pay them Millions if their designs are good. Ford has 1000 Engineers...what the? I still vote Hommer-car .....
-
Agree to dis-agree. Does any-one know how narrow this thing is? It looks like two Aussie blokes would not be able to fit in the front The new width restrictions on new cars in Japan only means 1 thing. We are goin to look like we are on a budget....so narrow....blah The cars are going to look like push bikes. We are doomed....need to look to other countries to import there 2nd hand turbo charged cars.
-
Hi I like the Hommer-Simpson car......great to look at and fun to be in. Every one missed the whole point of that episode. We unfortunately are in the......If you f**k up this car design your sacked era. Know one wants to get a bit wacky with design and do anything different. Mass public comformity Cheers

Hello again. I will check again tommorow why my pricing on the yoko's were so high. I can not see the difference in price except for the fact I like the 275/40/18 combination. I will also check to seeif toyo's and Falkans also come in this size. RE55 sound like a good idea, but last i looked 10000KM's before they get dodgy, sucks. Kyle , change your rubbers before you snow-plough into something. High Performance cars need high performance...stopping power(Brakes and tyres) Still not decided, I could write a list of things I need to do for the next 10 weeks and be pretty spot on.But can't for the life of me make a decision...need a holiday Thanks again for your inputs. Tekin

Why Is Nissan Turning silly And Lame
700HP-GTR33 replied to craig V8 taffe's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Hi' The new GTR will be a flop...because no European Nation will buy it (Cost of petrol and premiun price tag )and it will be priced $240K plus if it ever hits Australias shores. It will end up being badged Infinity in the USA and people will be able to buy it around $50K US They might sell a few in the US though. Renault is only after the glory with Nissan....to be able to control a Japanese car manufacturer. The high volume mass market is the dreams of these companies...world dominance is another. Nissan is going gay because some gay French dude is designing them that way. Cheers -
Hi, What model and type are they? Looks like you might have the top mount one's or even RB25 units. Not sure though...no model or codes i can do a search on. Cheers
-
Hello again. If you like them buy them, don't get petty with information. Just look at the results people are getting on stock bits and after-market turbo's.RB 26 Turbo upgrades. You will find you can get these results easy without injector or fuel pump upgrades. A goodtune and computer with great air flow(INTAKE and Exhaust) You could sell the turbo's you have, and get some N1's if you like. With a car like yours you should do the Turbo's. I have a set if you like i could sell you them...They are Garrett and are bolt on/no modes. New in a box. PM me if you would like them. Cheers Tekin
