  1. Yeah the whole servicing thing makes me squirm, its such a rip off. Thats why i like imports cause i dont have to take it to dealers because when people buy them they don't expect log books and im pretty hand with the tools, (but i won't touch electrics lol). After reading some threads the CVT is starting to concern me there are some real issues if the box dies as in cost wise. And im not buying a sedan cause last time i bought a r34 sedan and i swore from that experience that i will nevery buy a skyline sedan again lol. People just like the coupes better, makes it easier to sell. Also, how much am i looking at to get everything converted to english and get the xenon system set up again. And I will probably ask chris rogers to do it, he seems to be the only person who should do it lol. What about a maxima, i have a love hate relationship with them , i know they extremly comfy and spacious and then im like this is sweet, but then i see some old couple towing a caravan and im like that doesnt seem like a car for me ahahahah.
  2. Everyone feel free to make some other suggestions i was also looking at a 1998 bmw 5 series, just basically looking for an awsome cruiser that won't make me feel tired by the time i get to work with that said It has to be an auto (traffic sucks) lol. Anything under 30k can be used. Basically needs to be, smooth, some sex appeal aahahah, quite when driven normally, little road noise and the ability to make atleast 500k's to a tank.
  3. Yeah im really cconsidering getting one, cause they turn me on Now this could be a personal taste thing but I actually like it better then the 350z inside and out, sorry if that pisses someone off, but to me it just looks better I dont know why it just does Thanks the for the link n15m5o im going through it now.
  4. Hey guys im thinking of buying a V35 coupe (auto) and I want it to be my daily driver but i Dont know if its the sort of car that can be a daily driver. Here are my main concerns. 1. Fuel consumption, must be under 12 Liters (granny style driving) mainly because I don't wanna stop twice a week to fill up. I swear to god if anyone says if you care about fuel dont buy a skyline cause i will hunt you down. 2. The whole jap buttons and jap sat nav etc etc any work arounds for this, cause i dont want a semi functional car. I want everything or almost everything to work. 3. How reliable are they as a daily driver. 4. Dealing with B roads. How much difference is there between the 18 inch wheels and I think the other ones are 16s on crappy roads. Comfortable, uncomfortable, not for every day pick one. ahahaha Because i will get one with the 16's just for extra comfort. 5. Finally, can it be quiet if you drive softly, is the auto smooth, wind noise loudness? and in general how well does it block out the every day sounds of traffic. Thanks All in advance
  5. You are pretty sad for even bringing this up. If my mates car was upside down in my drive way and i hit it I would pay for it. If you do ask him to pay I doubt you will stay friends. And if you do its never gonna be the same. my 2c
  6. Stop scaring the guys u GT-R Freaks. Just get a good mechanical checkout and you will be right. If you start modding then u know what road u going down otherwise i didnt find it to expensive to own a skyline, set aside about 2 grand u will be right, unless u getting full comp insurance then set aside 4 grand. Also don't buy a GT-R because they are major money boxes, just get urself a nice gts-t.
  7. What JOB??????????????
  8. Dont worry about converting to miles in australia we use the kilometers system just like germany
  9. Dont post if you not gonna put pics up
  10. See im not a 100%, it probably is bordering to stall, for some reason i just expect it to be able to go super slow without shuddering. I had a new car ages ago and that thing could litrelly go at like 2km's an hour without shuddering this isnt so new, so its probably just about to stall lol, but i always catch it ahahahha
  11. Here is the website you buy coilpacks from its very recommended. Ive personally used it and i really cant find them as cheep as they are on this site anywhere. http://perfectrun.com.au/
  12. Yeah it is, with the clutch out, and engine is a bit rough, i tried yelling at it yesterday but didnt fix the problem ahhahaha. Its fine its just the engine i just press the cluch a bit earlier before i usually do to stop and problem is fixed Thanks everyone for contributing.
  13. Im pretty sure its fine and its just me. I had the car serviced recently and alfa romeo service center checks absolutely everything and said nothing about the clutch. The only thing that craps me is that it shutters when the car gets under 20km in second gear and 5km in first gear. Its not a bad shutter but in traffic its annoying lol
  14. Lol i remember when i was posting the same question recently. Most of the time that light comes when the coil packs are gone. Also before blowing money on the coil packs check that its not the oxygen sensor because when that goes, you get the same light aswell. Theres a way to get the error code from your car just using a paper clip. Im sure someone on here can give you the manual on how to do it. Its super simple and super useful.
  15. Ahh thats a good test. I have put it in forth before and slammed it no problems, I guess its just a gay car and has a crappy first gear. I was just use to my auto na 34. say watever you want but that thing was a rocket in first gear in tiptronic.
  16. Ok im pretty sure the clutch is gone then lol. One that car shudders when i slow down to about 10 km's per hour and when i touch the gas instead of accelerating slowly it sort cuts in and out lol. But the worst part is when im slowing down and say i put it in second gear and am at about 20 k's per hour and take my foot of the clutch the car shudders. The second one is the car is spose to be pretty quickish, like a golf gti but first geer keeps letting me down. SO will inquire for a new clutch. Anyone have any recommendations for places that do half decent clutches for Alfas ahahhahaha. Its not too bad currently my main annoyence is when i slow down to about 10 or so k's it starts shuddering and needs a bit of revs to get going.
  17. Hey Guys, A little about me, as you can see on the left ive been a member for a while now, but ive sold my skyline about 6 months ago :( , but i always feel like i will be back in a skyline i dont know why lol. I still stick around and read the qld section and help people out or comment on stupid crap ahahahha. Anyways i bought and alfa romeo and im not sure how the car is spose to feel but the first gear seems a bit week lol. Anyways, what are the things to look for in a worn clutch like what are the obvious signs. Thanks All.
  18. Best bet would be wreckers. I dont know of any good ones, but im sure someone on these forums would know a good one. Also if you willing to spend the cash you can get coilovers.
  19. Yeah sorry should have mentioned i am only aware that the REARS don't fit i dont know squat about the fronts. The difference between the turbo and non turbo rears is that the turbo shape is "U" at the connecter and the non turbo is "O" shape. Im sure there are proper names for these terms lol.
  20. No it wont. But i think one of the R33's will fit on the NA 34

    Nulon Oil

+1 for motul turobolight I used it in my NA/34 it felt much better then when the service center was putting in mobil. Its not even that expensive I think i payed like $65-$75 for like 5 liters at autobarn in browns plains. I used both 5w-40 and 10w-40 both seem to be fine id recommend motul. Never gave me a single problem and I used it for about a year and a half.

    Family Man

WTF IS WRONG WITH ALL OF U. You are starting a family. GET A CAMRY why are u getting something so quick, do you have a desire to kill yourself and yourchilder. Pay abit more and get something with more airbags and a better NCAP saftey rating. The last thing you want is to loose your family because you love quick cars. If it happend god forbid u would never forgive urself. Car with curtain airbags all the way.
  24. Thought id ask you never know do any of u guys know a good place where to play tennis at night where it aint to dereeeee lol prefably in the southeast area if possible. Cheers, Aleks
  25. You can do it from the carsales website or from the vcheck site itself. You provide the vin and pay watever option you selected and it spits out the rest lol. Here are the links for those interested: https://www.autocheck.com.au/ The carsales link is being a douch bag but its the same thing anyways.
