  1. going a different turbo setup with new turbine housing and new manifold changing the whole lot.
  2. its already been taken off this morning and sent back 2 do some research into it. going hi mount setup now with different setup see how that goes!
  3. little bit of a video from yesterday on a closed road hard 2 see but can feel the lagg big time between gear changes havent tried vct yet.. pulling turbo back off this morning and trying a new setup another vid from other day on closed road
  4. this afternoon done a full compression test and came up even across all cyclinders so motor is still fine tried a different bov nothing changed, tried no bov and nothing changed. hmm i might try the vct tnite? see how i go
  5. yeah u could go about it this way spacer plate from laser cutting workshop $5 silicon elbow off the turbo $30 delivered studs bout $3 from any bolt place re use your old gasket they normally fine 2 reuse if u havent blown them out modify dumpipe $100 oil feed $100 modify water lines $100 pretty simple 2 bolt up and cheap
  6. gt3076r turbo itself is around $1800 mark? then around $500 - 600 to fit with new dump oil/water lines intake pipe and cooler pipe pretty basic , 3k is way 2 much for a complete bolt on kit.
  7. I cant really dump the exhaust and drive around the streets lol and booking into tuner takes forever he always 3-4weeks booked out. went for another few test/runs last nite from 60-200 hard into 4th , boost drop off between gear changes is horrible it takes so long to build back up and start pulling could 50mm gate cause this? being to large for the turbo setup?
  8. he said disconnecting the vct will make it slower
  9. yeah as far as i know the vct is set to kick in at 3000rpm because at 2000rpm it was causing a slight throttle miss fire i dont know much about the tune part found out from tuner its from 3000 to 6000rpm
  10. hmm last i checked the stock cat flanges are 3" cause it bolts up to my 3" dump and cat back exhaust.. but it could be an option.. would running my external gate to atmosphere help at all? i made a video going from 20-160 but my net is capped so i cant upload its way 2 slow
  11. its running safe enough afr's it wont lean out lol
  12. yeah i know nismoid im goin to make a video today inside the car showing revs + boost gauge
  13. Im sure the neighbours wouldnt mind if i went around the block with just a dumpipe on hahahaha
  14. you really think my gutted stock cat would be holding it back from flowing as well?
  15. so what should i do lol adjustable cam gear?
  16. yeah gutted stock cat not sure on exact size of them. fair enough well .63 is out of the question gcg want $591 for a exhaust housing haha think i might just put up with the laggy 400hp
  17. thanks for that harey, he has got a few goodies, mines running a custom inlet manifold aswell, but still uses stock exhaust manifold.
  18. well thats kind of the next step i think? any idea on pricing for these housings would i be dumb for going a .63 over the .82? could i still achieve the 400rwhp with .63?
  19. Ok just got back, had to get some bread from IGA for lunch hahaha so thought why not disconnect the vac line on the way there bad news or the bad news haha.. yeh i put a bolt in the vac line once disconnected. this was all done in 2nd gear. first run i done come out of roundabout completey flat in 2nd gear reved it to only 5000rpm and then checked my blitz electric timer/gauge thing and it read .7 bar boost.. ok thats really f**kEN laggy. next run was the same flat out of roundabout in 2nd gear revved to 5800rpm and hit 1.4 bar with lots and lots of wheel sping around 5200-5300rpm still 2 fkn laggy . so theory disconnecting the wastegate didnt bring anything on sooner, if anything it felt worst.
  20. yes that is correct they run a split pulse turbine mite go 4 a drive now test out wastegate wish me luck haha
  21. well stao suggested he build me a .82 4 bolt flange exhaust housing like what comes with gcg's gt3582r turbo, this has come into my mind alot. ive also thought about hi mount manifold setup but its such a expensive excercise lol id be even more cranky if i bolted .82 on and gained 1000rpm lagg hahaha oh so u retard the exh side to build boost quicker? hmmm
  22. cactus you are not wrong mate people with a built motor and cams and head work only just crack 400+rwhp with small boost like what im running why would i go back to a 3076 turbo when ive just spent and setup my 3582, seems like a downgrade to me.. and a 3076 pushing 380rwkw? u run 30psi on e85 on a built motor with cams? lol im asking what i can do to get response down even a few hundred rpm mid range is important yes i mean at 4000rpm or there abouts im making 200kw @ wheels ( but lets be honest 200kw felt fast in 2001) then it ramps up in the next 1000rpm to like 300kw @ wheels, but whos going to be doin 120mph past the 110mph mid range car in the top end lol looks like rain is gone mite try the wastegate line thing and go from there
  23. Dale i have had a few talks with him and he suggests exh cam gear but my tuner says it prob wont gain much if anything at all. bradsm87 yes ur are correct its .63 and its so boring and linear power sorta just revs from 3500 onwards speedo moves but u get no kick what so ever
  24. not yet its been raining and storming all day i will tommorrow though
  25. He never suggested i re use my exhaust housing, i asked for it because its already modified to fit external wastegate setup so it was less fabrication 2 be done. The wastegate is a 50mm purple looking one from otomoto.com.au runs 1bar spring, ive actually got the top pre load screw wound all the way in to hold 1.3 bar boost there is also 1 more vacum fitting on top of the wastegate near the pre load screw not 2 sure wot it does? do u think i would gain anything by buying a .63 garrett exhaust housing? is 400rwhp at 18psi still achievable? or would .82 be more the go? not interested in gt30 series ive been in a r33 with gt3082 and it didnt wow me at all.. had near 380rwhp and felt boring as... as for highflow , i wouldnt want to waste my money, i been thru 2 highflows from slide yrs ago and they were just plain boring.
