any update stao on that rb25det gettin tuned? the one only running 9psi for now

drops boost? you must have something setup wrong.. mine holds 1.4 bar strong to redline. if i wind it up to 1.5bar it has held that fine aswell 2. so something must have been wrong in your setup.

oh ok. yeh i bought a 50mm gate off net for around $200, then my mech took turbo off modified it all and put it all back together for around $250 i think... from what i heard gavin wood isnt cheap so yeh u mite be better going garrett turbo gt35r or something... price u pay 2 live somewhere flash and get fancy ppl 2 do work that other guys can do for 1/4 the price..

didnt think it would fix it, only because ive been there done that.. maybe its time to go external wastegate?

Also when my flap got stuck open, mine wasnt from the rod being on an angle it was the flap inside, hitting the exhaust housing and gettin stuck.you need a fair bit of force to open the wastegate flap up i cant see it rubbing a tiny bit on the hole stopping it from closing sorry... i also drilled the hole out bigger like skline01999 did.. just to give it that lil bit of clearance but it didnt do anything 4 me.

still wont stop the boost spiking. the hole that your trying to push your boost out is about the size of a 5cent piece if not smaller. its a joke. u wont ever fix it without going external.

Yeh i can get you some pics this arvo. if your switched on u can DIY, but u need to pull turbo off, housings off etc and be good at welding lol... its vented at the moment but ive got a setup where i can plumb it back in by undoin 1 v band clamp.

im also running hi flowed injectors they change a bit on idle cause of no spray pattern but on highway 10ltr/100km and 250kw .. and cost me $120

hey mate i had same problems with kkr480 turbo would stick and stay open and make hardly any boost. only way to stop them over boosting or sticking is get the internal gate welded up and run 50mm external gate off the exhaust housing . which is what i done and now run between 7psi - 20psi... never had drama since.. its the only way 2 fix the cheap ass turbos.

hey guys been wanting to chase down a power window switch but everyone i seem 2 find looks to have different pins on it then mine? mines a 93 series 1.. it has normal 7 bigger pins up top then 3 tiny pins on the right side and none of the left side.. every switch ive looked at has 7 big pins top row and 3 big pins on the left side and 3 on right side at the bottom.. can anyone help me , anyone had same drama?

seems alot of ppl are having dramas with these manifolds, i put mine on about year and half ago... took few days, didnt even use new gaskets and never even got it shaved. hasnt leaked and still going strong lol even came with every bolt i needed to bolt it all on + vacum fittings. keep at it should all work out in the end.
