Just a little update.
dropped the oil this afternoon out of the box
and to my suprise 3 syncro clips stuck the to bung
so i aint going to put $150 worth of redline oil in.
i dont know what to do. what are rebuilds worth on these boxes?

yeah i found a fairly cheap supplier with redline stuff
he is doin me 4ltrs delivered for $112 which i thought was ok.
all the auto shops were around $150
going to get oil change done next week as my 4th is just about impossible to change into unless u double/triple clutch it

but some others say closer to 4ltrs so i got no idea, might just buy 4ltrs, found a guy who will ship 4ltrs for $114 delivered. cheap!

for example 15w50
does it run 50w when cold and 15w when hot? or vice versa?
im running the 5w30 castrol edge stuff and my oil pressure is horrible and its only 1200kms old.
use to just run HPR10 and oil pressure was fine.

well it was 4 cracked ring lands on my pistons that went.
personally i wouldn't drive it. park the car leave it and work out your budget then send it somewhere to be rebuilt.
motor is f*ked lol
when i cracked 4 pistons in mine, car still went hard, idle like a VW lol and i could fill the catch can pretty quick.

well im not from a city but a small town, i got my mech to do it, he didnt charge me much at all, pulled turbo off,welded up inside of turbo,welded all new gate on, and screamer pipe, and tuned it, cost stuff all lol very pleased

not sure how ur 38mm is going to go but it SHOULD hold boost fine.
i went 50mm to be safe. u only gotta look at the size of the hole inside the housing its tiny and thats why it creeps lol

my 2 cents... lower ya gap ya plugs the worse your miss fire is gonna be on idle, mine use to do the same wen i used band aid fixes.
my boost creep was bad, i couldnt run anything under 1.4bar and it sometimes spiked to 1.6bar but my boost cut is set at 21psi so yeah, well my kkr480 was all ported out etc before they sent it, still creep, this was couple yrs ago though, maybe they have fixed it! my mechanic who done the external gate off the housing rkns the internal wastegate hole was about as big as a 5cent piece, which explains why it couldnt get the exhaust gases out quick enough lol
