  5. hey guys just a quick question,ive setup a sard fuel pressure reg on my r33 and ive been wondering wot pressure i should set it at..ive got a gauge on it,and the way ive been told to set it up is pull the vacum line of the fuel reg and set it at 40psi then put the vacum line back on and this should be around the stock fuel pressure! has anyone else had to do something similar? other mods r max slide highflow intercooler exhaust/dump walbro intank pump stock ecu any help would be great thanx
  6. what u gota do nick is,make sure u gap ur synthetic oil,then make sure all ur muffler bearings r polished then maybe the tick wil go away so i can flog tractors lil heart out hahahaha...mmmm
  7. I thought all the XR6 Turbos that come on those fords were the 1.06 exh housing..? bigger exh for the 4ltr motor or something..who knows should be fun wen it comes on though
  8. im very confused now..took car for a drive (was sitting for 4hrs) it blew white smoke for a good 5mins of driving mainly puffed out white smoke on backoff...then once car got hot..smoke went away..i took it for a good hard drive..pulled up..not a drop of blow by coming from filter or catch can hoses...so im confused..maybe the rings arent bedded in properly yet?
  9. hey mate im from qld but thanx anyway...i just cant believe it..it was my fault..i was only fkn around with the pcv pipe yesterday,must have bumped the vacum line of fuel reg when i was puttin pcv pipe back on.. oh this sux..anyone know prices on rb25det from wreckers...long motor..

  11. well my motor has done a total of 1400kms now since rebuilt..took it 4 a fang this morning..only 10psi on a max oversize slide hiflow..and pulled up and i can smell oil burning..popped bonnet..catch can was breathing heavily..and i noticed my fuel regulator vacum line was disconnected..would this cause it 2 lean out? and f**k the motor..doesnt look good:( any help would be appreciated!!! Justin
  12. ive installed a max over size rb25 turbo from aaron and i found the only line i had trouble with was the water line that connects closest to the strut tower..all i did was chop the metal pipe throw some water hose between it and it gave me plenty of give then..rest of lines should all line up perfect..remember dont bolt the turbo up to the exhaust manifold tight...make sure thats loose gives u more room 2 play wit wen bolting lines up...i wouldnt go rotating the centre catridge...aaron would have sent it to u how its meant to be rotated...but ur choice..
  13. I also don't remember seeing this on my pipe and i only had the motor out and apart 2-3 weeks ago .... someone mite have put it there? or i just wasn't paying enough attention lol
  14. as far as im aware (rebuilt my rb25 2 weeks ago) i couldnt find anyone in aus who sold a STD rb25det cast piston..only pistons available were forged.. 300rwkw or 200rwkw if u get bad detonation ur going to blow a piston wether its cast or forged...
  15. hey guys im chasing a heater hose tap if anyone has a spare one lying around..its the plastic bit that bolts onto the back of the firewall its a 3 week wait from nissan gota get part from japan need one asap
  16. I shoulda also rebuilt it with CP forged pistons and forged H beam rods but i didn't im not chasing 600rwhp as a daily so i dont see the need in building a competition motor this will do me just fine!

  18. hey guys ive lost a head bolt which is holding me back from bolting my head down and nissan dont have any in stock so it would be monday b4 can do anymore on car..wot im wondering is do they use the same head bolt as a rb30? if so i can just go 2 wreckers n grab one!
  19. this is the best piston outta the 4..the worst one i left in a mates car! but you can see the cracks pretty easy also a picture of the bore in cyclinder 3 where the piston ringlands fell apart once the pist came out not a mark in there

  22. walbros seem fine if u get a proper one,i know of a few mates cars making 400rwhp with this same pump..when i first imported the car start of last yr it felt really sluggish..noticed the timing was set at 0 degrees..set it to 15degrees and left it at that..and the cas is more like all the way left arm down..
  23. i installed a walbro 255ltr fuel pump and car had a catch can hooked up both breathers were venting to a filter thru the catch can so i dont think it would be any of the above...hmmm mite get the injectors cleaned and flowed
