  1. Selling my 2002 WRC Blue WRX 5spd $15.5k neg $16.5k including RWC+new front tyres + exhaust In the pics it has 3.5" cat back, turbosmart VeePort and boost gauge. I've since removed the exhaust and will revert back to stock for easier sale on carsales. I've had it for nearly 4 years, but am selling due to buying new car for work, driving manual in CBD rush hour everyday, and long trips mean i need a comfy automatic :-( No swaps unless you have a 2006+ model auto car (for tax depreciation etc) Features: 5sp man Color coded side skirts ($400) 133,000km Serviced 2000km ago $1400 new clutch done at 120k service. Major service at 100km was $1400 (quoted $1900 at STI docklands) Needs new front tyres Reg til Nov 2009 RWC neg, but i doubt it needs anything except tyres Good condition car, has usual shopping trolley dings as most cars of this vintage. If you buy a car with 90000km you'll likely have to spend the $2500 on clutch, water pump and service very soon, this car has it all done. Call/PM/reply here, no time wasters pls, would prefer to let a member have it as its a good car, I use it mainly for travelling Victoria for work. Often do long trips including hitting all four boundaries of Vic, includes 900km's weeks. Redbook says this is a good deal, and its pretty much the cheapest in Melb. Private Price Guide $15,900 - $18,400 * Average Km 110,000 - 180,000 0430 366 915 Simon

  3. thats cool, each to their own, i haven't had a 250 for years but it was hella fun smoking the noobs on their brand new 1000's at the track on a $3000 15 year old bike
  4. Well thanks to Boosted who works for shannons (see R33 insurance thread), my decision on which car just got harder, he quoted me almost $1k less than any other insurance company for a rex The quoted me ~$1770 for an 03 wrx, with $900 excess My quote with justcar for an R33 is $1080 with a $1500 excess An R33 skyline would be good as id save money for overseas next year, i know im only going to own it for a minimum of 1, max of 2 years, i dunno what to do
  5. f'ing wanker just sold the bike on me, some just came over with the cash this morning, i told him i would buy it last night too, damn
  6. dude, any bike that can be power wheelied from first into 4th and scrape gear selectors is good IMO, they are awesome for the track and theres video proof of 4th gear wheelies (but he only kept it up for a second)
  7. CBR250's are awesome, ive just bought a new race prepped one for the 250 series in Vic anyone wanna buy an 01 R6 trackie for $5500?
  8. damn, roof racks would ruin it i will look at the modded one, worst case is a rebuild and they are how much roughly? 1-2k?
  9. Ive just spent $1000 on it to sell it. It is ready to drive, you buy, you drive, its simple. Nothing to spend. Im buying an R33 or S15, depends on what the bank will do for me.... 78xxxkm Just had 75km service $280 New tyres $220 11 months reg $530 RWC Dark blue Airbag Power steering Immobilser Remote entry Roofracks Alloy wheels JBL 6" front speakers $300 Tinted windows Ive put the last 20000 on it and they have been all freeway km's (driving the ring road at 100kph to greensborough every day - 75km) CD player+ Amp This is the only pic i have of it, but can take more if you need. 14. or the super cheap auto at $13k? http://www.carsales.com.au/pls/carsales/...5&year_min=1996
  15. http://www.carsales.com.au/pls/carsales/...0&cs_trans_id=2 modded or http://www.carsales.com.au/pls/carsales/...0&cs_trans_id=2 or not and is there such thing as a normal ECR33 and is there a difference btween it and an M-spec?
  16. $17500 is pretty sweet, most of the ads say $19k from a dealer Ok im definitely getting a manual, im not after big hp because no matter how much money i spend it will never be quicker than my bike so theres no point for me, i just need it to be reasonable Do skylines ever have any problems in the cold? I go up the snow all the time, could you fit a snowboard in it? Does the rear seat fold down? I was looking at a 02 rex or s15 but insurance is just plain ridiculous, both came with a 2-3k excess and im 24 with a rating 1 and no claims...damn insurance, but an R33 still looks hot and goes well so why not
  17. that duck call bov is awesome! imagine you could somehow connect it to a fart trumpet, that would really freak people out
  18. But dealers want so much for cars that are essentially no better (except for a polish) than available on the provate market, there are a few nice examples of a R33 S2 for $15-17.. Also, i prefer manual (but they are more expensive , but are there any problems with the manual or auto on an R33?
  19. Hi all, SAU noob and my first post, ive searched but couldnt find anything. Looking at a R33 S2, and theres a few examples out and i can't decide whether to buy a modded car or not, i want about 160-180RWKW so nothing special, should i buy a clean unmodded and do it myself or buy one already done? Are there any pitfalls to buying modded? (apart from the quest for more hp ) And is there anyone you reccomend for checking out the car? RACV? is there a company that specialises in imports?
