  1. Hey mate. Nice looking R32. Looks nice and clean. With the exhaust valve, what are you talking about exactly? Where is it situated? If its the vacuum valve like the stock exhaust, then its just a valve that opens the exhuast based on air flow, or revs or something. Can't remember.
  2. Depends on a lot of things. If you have good balance, good foot ware, the rocks aren't wet and slimy and there is no swell to knock you off. Rocks are pretty safe. If too many of the mentioned factors come into play, it becomes less safe. Generally ts fine as long as you use your head and don't stand in stupid positions waiting to get washed off
  3. How lucky to the guy that got to see all that. I would pay big money for a ticket to enter those doors
  4. As said above, Perth is really over fished, so its not that great anywhere If you really want to travel, there is a little town north of perth called Dongara. They have some pretty good beach fishing... dawn and dusk are the best times, but during the day is ok too. Around perth, maybe go to south beach in freo. There are often a school of whiting around or even better a few herring. Have also caught a few flat head there too
  5. ^^^ Mine does the same thing. If you turn the ignition on for a couple of seconds before turning the engine on, both doors lock... provided they're both closed

    N/a Cruise?

I'd be up for something... happy to help organise too Just got to get my work sorted out cause it looks like I'm going up north for a couple of weeks soon. When all my travel dates are sorted, then I can be more certain on dates
  7. Yep, thats not a bad price. Don't forget you have to get it painted and fitted as well which will cost a bit more on top of that. If I were you, I'd do some investigation on different places to get the front bar and also what its made of. Do a bit of reading into fibre glass as well as frp. frp is more expensive, but doesn't crack as easily. If you get fibre glass, know what quality differences there are... in particular, the amount of layers. Less layers means weaker body part.
  8. Good for you... its your baby, so shes worth it
  9. For some reason, my car doesn't like going to fremantle. Whenever driving to freo, my HICAS light always comes on. It doesn't come on when coming back from fremantle, or travelling anywhere else for that matter. It only happens every single time I go there. Guess she just doesn't like freo ... what strange things do your cars do??
  10. Looks nice and clean. Definately a good buy. Just so you know, that isn't an aftermarket front bar. Its actually the series 1.5 front bar. That being because your R33 is a series 1.5 The side skirts are 400R ones... like mine
  11. They import all sorts of stuff from Japan. You can get anything from a full wreck to a few spare parts. They will be looking to sell it to you
  12. That is an awesome link. Thanks mate Got a lot of reading to do now
  13. Thats a really good price. Post up some pics
  14. A few interesting comments. To those who don't like what I've said, sorry if I offended you. The only reason I pointed it out is because I find it interesting and wanted to see others point of view. As I said before, I don't think the nissan engineers have missed this. I'm sure they have done plenty of R&D and have the whole thing under control. I was just thinking similar to what warps and sh@un are saying. Just think its an interesting setup and worth talking about. ... and for all of those who think I'm trying to find a weakness lol. Don't stress. I was looking at all the pics cause I think this car is awesome. Just spotted this pic and it got me thinking
  15. I think he wants to see some pics of you car
  16. Yea, didn't think of that. Thats a good point. Didn't really think about conventional tail shafts doing that speed, but in top gears they would. Its an interesting configuration none the less. Can't wait to see it in the flesh
  17. Have you noticed the gain of the redline they are capable of with the shorter shaft. That was more my point. A shorter shaft can be spun a lot faster.
  18. I'm not doubting the Nissan engineers. I'm sure they have it all figured out. I just know that the longer you make a shaft, the harder it becomes to balance due to more and more harmonic frequencies that come into play. I just find it quite interesting
  19. I wish I could say he is taking the piss yawn... but he's not. This guys has come on sau on more than one occassion trying to tell everyone about his cordia and he wants anyone to come drag him. I can't believe he is still on about it. It quite pathetic really.
  20. Been looking through as many photos and specs as possible. Can't wait to see this beast. When I saw, this photo, however, it got me a bit concerned. As you can see the gearbox is located at the back, which is great for weight distribution. The concern I have is the shaft that travels from the engine to the gearbox. This shaft will be spinning up to 7-7.5k rpm. For a shaft of this length to be spinning at that speed, it would need to be perfectly balanced. This is very difficult to achieve. That is why formula one have gone to V8's. Because the shorter shaft is easier to balance at those high speeds. If the gearbox was in the front, it wouldn't be a problem as the shaft would be spinning a lot slower due to being geared down. This is how most rear wheel drives operate. What do you guys think?
  21. Try talking to KYP. They might be able to sort you out. Address: Unit 9/105 President Street Welshpool WA Australia 6106 E-mail: [email protected] Telephone: +61 8 9470 3828
  22. That sounds good. Thanks Rowan. Will give them a call
  23. Thanks rowan, might have to look into that There are two reasons why I'm looking at a respray. The previous owner used to park under a tree and the branches have scratched the roof really badly. I polish it heaps every time I wash it, but by the next time, it starts to almost go white again. The second reason is that some nob key scratched my car all the way down the passenger side. Right down to the metal from the front quarter all the way to the rear quarter. Looks terrible.
  24. This guys needs to find himself a girlfriend... I wonder how well his 13 sec cordia pulls the chicks
  25. I'm not too sure about the engineering cetificate etc. but find out the difference between the rb25 r32 and the rb20 r32. For instance, the rb25 version have bigger brakes, you will need to do this. Otherwise, if the only difference is the engine, then I think you may be right and don't really need the engineering certificate. Good luck mate
