Got My New Rims Fitted Just In Time For The Sauwa Cruise
NISZILA posted a topic in Western Australia
Just finished putting my new rims on my car. Bought them a few weeks back, but only had the chance today to get tyres. Perfect timing to be ready for tomorrows cruise Now next on the shopping list is some suspension to bring those guards a little closer to the wheels What do you guys think? -
Don't really know what event, so can't help you there. Be sure to let us know when you do though. Seen a few video clips of this car and would love to see it in the flesh. Its mad
-
I've got a couple of black faced auto guage guages. I'm really happy with them. Good price too
-
Thanks for the replys guys. Been calling everyone around. Found the ones I originally wanted, so its ok now. From what I've seen the Neuton's are a harder compound as zennon said, but not quite what I'm looking for Thanks again

Hey guys, I'm looking to get new tyres on me new rims. Just called up the place, and they don't have the tyres I want in stock... even though when I originally spoke to them, they said they would Anyway... they said they could give me Neuton's for the size I'm looking for. I haven't heard of them. Did a search in the tyres section, and no one has written a review on them either. Just need a quick 'yes' or 'no'. Want to get some fitted this afternoon as I took the afternoon off to get this done. Now I'm getting stuffed around.

^^^ Hope he's alright... don't like blind dates
-
You can get rotors that don't have holes at all and then get them drilled to your specs. That would be better
-
^^^ We will finally meet lol. Seen your car at uni so many time and spoken to you on here... and still don't even know what you look like
-
There are a few around. I know there is a gravel track in Kalamunda somewhere. There are also a few skid pans around the place, but don't have details. Wrote it down somewhere, but don't remember where I put it
-
I know... and I understand that. I'm just trying to be the practical mind. Its sometimes hard to tell yourself to take it easy, but when it comes from someone else, it can have more merit. I just have that sort of outlook because when I was just coming off my P's, I totalled a car. Still owed $7k on it and didn't bother getting insurance cause I had an invincable attitude. You seem more mature than I was back then. Probably have a better head on your shoulders too I just don't want to see other people go through what I did. Have fun with your car and be proud of it... and if you want to mod it... I'm not telling you not to. Hell, I still can't stop buying stuff for mine my gf is always telling me off for spending too much money on the car. I'm just saying, realise there is a line. Don't cross it, cause you will have regrets like I did. Look into advanced driving courses etc. and then go crazy
-
So I assume you were an awesome driver capable of anything as soon as you got your lisence? Don't think so. nickr33turb is still on his P's, so he's still a young driver. Don't take this the wrong way, I'm not saying cause you're on your P's, you're a bad driver. Just inexperienced. I don't care how good a driving instructor is. Nothing beats experience when it comes to being in control. The more power you have, the finer the line becomes between in control and potentially out of control. I've had my license for a fair few years now, but I still know I've got more to learn. Want to do some advanced driving courses etc. Get used to the power and rear wheel drive and the feel of boost. Then make upgrades as you go, with a final plan in mind.
-
Its best to do a lot of investigation first to figure out what you want. Atm your asking what mod to put in, you say you want a high mount etc. Now these are all valid questions, but you need to know what you want the finished product to be. Obviously things such as a front mount are fairly generic across the range, but there are a lot of little things that can be done to keep your car reliable for its purpose. What that purpose is, you need to figure out. For instance. People always want to put on a lot of mods and crank up the boost. They forget about important things like brakes, internals of the engine, suspension setup etc etc. I'd say get the fmic for sure. But before you get a high mount manifold, do some investigation and see what you want out of this car. Then you can plan exaclty what you need, and make sure your car is still reliable and capable of handling the extra power. Hope that helps. SAU is very useful and full of information. Use the search feature and read a lot. Ask questions of people who know what they are talking about.
-
Thanks Also, take infamous-t's advice. Drive it around without too many power gains just yet. Learn exactly what you want to do with this car. Plan the whole setup. That way you get used to handling a more powerful rwd car, and you avoid chopping and changing between mods. Get a shopping list and know everything you want before you buy anything

You can buy the front mount in a kit from somewhere like just jap and install yourself. Just take your time with the installation

Federal Tyres Special - One Week Only!
NISZILA replied to Access Autoworks's topic in For Sale (Business Traders)
I'm assuming this offer is over. I'm really interested in a set of the 595ss in 235x40R18 shipped to Perth. Can you give me a price for this? -
That sounds pretty good. I just bought some 18's too and am fitting the same size tyre. I would just recommend you do some investigation on the quality of those tyres. They're probably not the greatest. Do some research, and if you're happy with the tyres, then go for it. Otherwise, buy the rims, and get tyres seperately. If you shop around, you can get tyres that size for around $800 that are higher quality.
-
I've got some 17's. Click the link in my sig for pics. I'm open to offers  I'm in WA tho lol, could be a bit difficult
-
I'd say you're going to struggle with coilovers. They are different to the gtst because of the awd. Don't really think anyone makes gts4 coilovers. Good luck tho
-
Not 100% sure, but if I understand correctly, you should adjust this before you fit it. Make sure you're parked on a flat level surface and adjust it so it fits just right. This fasten it in place. The idea is not for it to be tight, but to make the car rigid. That way in cornering the car will keep its shape a lot better making better cornering.

^^^ I agree. Meet at caro in the shopping parking. I'll come along for that too
