I got a standard series I steering wheel. Also has a bit of wear on it, but not that bad. How much you willing to pay for it

Bet you can't wait to get your line back. This whole week I've been staring at mine in the car port, wishing I could take it for a drive. So glad its back to its old self again Make sure you post some pics when you get your car done
-
Had a minor problem that I fixed today that meant my line was out of action for a week. This meant driving a little civic around in the mean time. Anyone else agree that in this situation, as soon as you sit back in your line, you get a little grin on your face. As you start the engine, the grin gets a little bigger. Then, as you come onto the highway, it turns into a smile from ear to ear. Its like you first time (driving a skyline that is) all over again. Then you glance down a go 'oh crap, i'm doing 130' ... oops. Gotta love skylines

Its all good Got it fixed. Apparently immobilisers are very sensitive and want a perfect contact to the battery. The negative terminal of my battery had a bit of sediment build up... so I cleaned it. Now the car works fine

Got an R33 that I can't drive For some reason, I can turn the ignition on. All the lights come on as usual, my voltage gauge reads a little over 12 volts... all seems fine When I go to start the car though, its as if the immobiliser cuts the voltage. My voltage goes to zero, all lights go out and it makes a half hearted sound about half as loud as the sound it usually makes when the car gets locked. Whats going on??? Any ideas, or should I just call some auto electrician?

Not too sure on the rest of the details. I think there may be more to it than just the oil sump anyway. Might have to wait for one of the experts to answer. I've got an R33 GTS and I'm doing the same swap. I don't have the all wheel drive issue though, so I'm not sure on all the details.
-
Not sure about the R32, but i assume it would be the same as the R33. It is not just a straight swap. Since the GTS4 has front wheels that also drive, the oil sump is a different shape in the GTS4's RB25DE. This means that only another RB25DE from a GTS4 or an RB26 will do. You can turbo your DE, but I agree, an engine swap would be better. Bit of mucking around, but good luck. You can get a RB25DET that will drop straight in from a Stagea. I'm not 100% sure, but I think they made some turbo 4 wheel drive Stagea's, but they are very rare.

Have to agree on the titanium. Love the finish. Looks like you're about to blow fire out your exhaust
-
Cool, sounds good. Think I might pick one up, as long as no one on here says any different. I was just trying to get something a bit different to the usual milo tin look. (not that there is anything wrong with it)

I'm getting a custom exhaust made up about half way through next month. All I need to supply is the muffler. I was just wondering what all your thoughts were on lukey mufflers. Saw some today and they look alraight, but at the end of the day I don't want something that just looks good. Don't want a droney sounding exhaust. Anyone have one?
-
What muffler is this Got this picture on page 1 of this thread from GTRboy. Would love to know where you got it and how much it cost. Looks awesome with that titanium end. How does it sound? I have spoken to kermit and want to get an exhaust fitted, just need to get a muffler now.

IMO, the R33 is newer and therefore less likely to have problems due to age. I currently have an NA R33 myself and will be buying a turbo R33 half cut in the next couple of years to do an engine swap. That way, you keep your car and get a turbo. You need a half cut cause you need the GTSt gearbox as well. Some other things should get changed at the same time, (eg brakes etc.) but it seems like the best option in my books. You can then sell your RB25DE. Half cuts range a little in price, but if you look around, you can get a good one for $2.5-3k.

Its not a key ring, but rather the key itself. Its at just jap for $59, check it out http://www.justjap.com/parts_naccessories.htm

If its the bearing, you don't need a new engine, but you will need to take your engine out to fix it. Since you have to take it out anyway, just put an RB25DET in its place

Bee*R have done the same thing for the R33. Check this out... -
Get a bit angry I'd say. Similar thing happened to me on a previous car. If it is a respectable place, they will want to keep you happy. I got all my money back for the labour costs in my case. Don't just stand back, cause they'll walk all over you. You paid for the job to be done properly.

Where To Get A Boss Kit For A Nardi Wheel?
NISZILA replied to Nic19's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
I got a HKB one from Autobarn for my Momo steering wheel. They fit Nardi wheels aswell. -
I don't want to get your hopes up too much. Its nothing like the turbo, obviously, but it does go compare to many other non turbo cars. If its got enough power to get sideways on you (which it does), without putting your foot to the floor, I'd say its a good starting point for a responsible P driver. Go for a test drive in one and see what you think. After test driving mine, I had a grin from ear to ear, but every person has to feel for themselves. Good luck with the search.

I would say go for the NA R33. It has a bit of guts and obviously the look you're after. Just remember, the difference in insurance cost at your age between the turbo and non turbo, will pay for an RB25DET in a few years. So, get the NA and the do an engine swap later. That's what I'm doing I'm 22, so a bit older, but insurance is still a big thing. This gives you time to look after the little things such as stereo and interior trim etc. You don't need to touch the engine, cause you gonna swap it later anyway.

Found this today... Check it out. RB25 to RB28 Wanted to know if anyone knows any more info about this. I know its expensive and probably outside my price range atm, but would still like to find out more about it. If anyone could translate japanese, that would be cool too P.S sorry if this is a repost
