  1. I don't even know what to write anymore. I was really keen to try out EMU again today. And look what happened lol. It didn't work as it should. Once again. What I did find out is when you add fuel in the inj. map car goes better. I added 5%. If I subtract 5%. Car doesn't rev past 3-4k rpm and jerks. Similar to no fuel/fuel cut. Something to do with EMU intercepting INJ. signal. Drove car around for some more with +5% fuel. After about 3-4min. of spirited driving it started to missfire again. Like a cylinder shut down. Happened before. Car sounded like a v8. Cranking engine again didn't fix this problem. I did a couple of datalog runs. So will post them tomorrow. TPS reads lower than Factory in EMU and is unstable. TPS value fluctuates all the time. Lets say factory TPS through Consult reads 0.46 at min. EMU reads 0.43-0.44. Max value is pretty much the same as stock ecu. But also fluctuates. I'm getting really pissed and disappointed. Its been more than 6 months since I got EMU. And I still can't make it run like "greddy" said it should. And I've even bought the engine specific harness. Greddy, give me my time back ! LOL
  2. Trent, maybe when you have a spare minute could you share some tips and tricks with us ? )) And some of the stuff on the 1st page is really interesting, but still empty. Like AUTO TUNE, IGNITION TYPES, OPTIONAL INPUTS, DATA LOGGING It would really be awesome to get as much info on the EMU as possible. DIY EMU users are starving from insufficient amount of info on EMU. I guess anyone outside Japan encountered lots of problems/questions/disinformation about EMU. And it would be really great that someone could share first hand experience with all of the emu freaks out there ))

  4. Its not ubber low. But my cat is scrapping every where. At best, I would like the exhaust to be same level as chassis rails. That way I won't scrub it.
  5. So say, I run two 2.5inch. I get nice silent power then ))) Under Db limit. No scrapping exhaust. And performance wise comparable to 3inch. Right?
  6. Hey! I wanted to upgrade my 3inch exhaust a bit. Make it less noisy and give a car more road clearance. I scrap my exhaust in the basement parkings every time. Awful. I thought if I split the pipings from the turbo outlet. Make it two 2 or 2.5inch pipes running to the resonator and a twin entry muffler at the back. Will I have still have the sufficient flow ? Like 3inch exhaust ? I thought 2inchX2=4inch, no? ))) Anyone done something like that ? Thanks!
  7. Hey, can you post some info on your install ? Like what harness did you use (universal or n-4?) What jumpers did u move ? What firmware version do you run ? And how did your car behave on the first start up ? Drove like before ? Or have you encountered some problems with the install ? Its probably your AFM maxing out. Iether a greddy map sensor or bigger AFM.

  14. what about r32 towers ? Maybe a little less work involved ? Or r33 got a better double wishbone setup? heard the upper arm is different to r32s. Also, what about the engine crossmember. 4wd one is totally different to the 2wd one. But what else needs to be done to accommodate 4wd crossmember and suspension is s-chassis ? I'm thinking with r32 strut towers and whole r32 front suspension it could be a direct swap, no ? And no need to drill or bend the chassis rails for the front drive shafts. Am I thinking correct here ?

  16. URAS,how did u fit the r33 front suspension into s-chassis ? U sued the whole r33 strut towers ? Or just weld on the braces for the upper arm ?

  19. Hmmm. I've been looking into nissansilvia forums. And most of the guys run .86 turbo housing. And they get full boost at around 4000rpm. Confused again. Final: .63 or .82 ? Which one will yeld better results ? Still want it to be drivable, but don't want to loose the rb20 hi revs also.

  21. Getting a gt2860rs for my rb20. Pls help me choose the right exhaust housing. I lean towards the .63, to help with the spool up. I think dispopotato3 said, that garrett engineers made the real gt2860rs with a larger exhaust and comp housing on purpose. So u could run more ignition advance in the low revs. And to free up exhaust flow at the high revs. Need your input! Thanks!

  24. So to sum it up ? What kind of gt3071 exhaust housing should one get for rb25 ? .63? Or .82? Also, what is the Garrett part number for the IW exhaust housing ? They don't specify it on the webiste ? Or is it non-existent ? Last one, if running a external wastegate with the real gt3071. Which wastegate size is to go ? will a mere 38mm do a job ? around 14-16psi boost ? Thanks!
