  1. So, if I have stock everything. And didn't even touch the maps. I should load up the software, without connecting it realtime to the EMU, right ? Choose rb20det, leave everything like greedy stated and press ok, not apply ? Correct? If so, I will try it out today.

  6. Noop, not all ! I got an rb25de auto from r33 lying on the foor. And its got smaller gears in the starter motor compared to the rb20det one. And its deffinetely smaller than rb20det one. Just check if the overall size is the same and you are good to go !
  7. I've did some more runs yesterday. Tried different inj. lag time. If I remember correctly this time I've used 0.15ms lag time, compared to the greddy default 0.00ms lag time. I tried everything from 0.55 to 0.15.But it was running rich on idle. So I just went lower. It seems like a fuel cut or something but only in the higher gears. Like if I accelerate hard in 2nd, 3rd, 4th I just hit the factory 180km/h speed limiter. While accelerating in the higher rpms I can feel I got some missfires. Like small pops from exhaust. Very annoying. If I start accelerating hard in 4th gear I just bump into this fuel cut around 160km/h. In higher rpms I also have this fuel drop outs. You can see them in datalog very clearly. Inj. input duration just cuts out and comes in again. In 5th gear I just hit that fuel cut earlier like 140-150m/h. And syou still get this misfires while revving. I just don't understand why is it happening ? Any ideas ? Thanks! EMU_Test_Drive_datalog_30.01.2008.zip
  8. RB20 and RB25 blades differ. I think RB25 got more blades and different shape. I will look for some pics to post here.

  10. Gary, do you have any pics of your install ??? Maybe a schematic drawing or something ? I dont really understand how you got around and done the air bleeder and the water supply for the turbo. Thanks! Move to Tutorials for sure !
  11. Maybe someone has some info on cam gears on standard rb20 ? I plan to use t3/t4 turbo(compressor a/r 0.5, turbine a/r - 0.63), external wastegate. I was thinking about 220+ rwkw could be possible with that turbo. Would I benefit from cam gears on my setup ? As I will be doing all the tuning myself, how should I adjust the cam gears to get more mid-range ? I'm not that keen on top end. Wanna save the baby rb20det for a little longer. God knows how much more health it has, and redlining it only makes its life shorter.

  13. If I'm not mistaken, igniter chip is inside the coils. So it doesn't matter.
  14. Trent, what do you mean by "all the turbo ancillaries are not in the loom" ? Can you pls specify what are they ? My friend plans to use stock neo rb25de loom, neorb25de ecu, emanage blue to run the neo rb25det. I guess it will work, and all the issues could be cured with some time spent tweaking emanage.

  19. You change the latency on both inj ? Old and New? Or just leave the old as default from greddy and change the new inj. ? pls. confirm.
  20. Hmmm.I have the latest firmware(That came with 2.16 software), then I got the 9xxx series ultimate, version E. I still have some kind of fuel cut around 140-150km/h in 3rd/4th/5th gear. When playing with inj. latency, should I adjust both values?(old and new) or just the new inj latency value ? Thanks, Trent !
  21. There are lots of water hoses under intake plenum. Some are really hard to get to. Could be those.

  23. I think u are ok. On turbocharged engines the difference between cylinder readings that matters, not the actual readings. Just up the boost )) IMHO
  24. Hi! Anyone used these turbines ? Whats the difference between them ? Whats the best choice to run or rb20det? I've been told that 45v1 turbine has less compressor blades than other ones ? Thanks!
