A31 Drifters Lets Share Our Suspension Setups!
robots replied to robots's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Apparently there is more to S14 arms. Usually when drifting with factory a31/s13 flca you will hit chassis rail when countersteering (fulllock). I think the steering is quicker and there is more lock with factory arms, but due to length issue. Most wheels will hit the chassis rails which sucks. S14 ones gets you a wider front wheel base, more camber and tires don't touch the chassis rails. But I feel, that you get a tad less lock with them or maybe the steering is not as quick with them. Other option is going with R33 lower arms. Their lock stop position is different to S14 lower arms. So you get the same length, but a bit more lock. I will put them on my car over the weekends and find out. -

Any Tips How No To Kill An Rb25 With Bee*r Rev Limiter?
robots replied to robots's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Haha. Make this thread a joke. Remember the D1 BNR32 RB26 with Bee*R revlimiter and the old bnr324 bee*r car with light tuned rb26 ? All of them were bee*r equipped. I guess in the end its just luck if your engine survives, as I thought. -
Any Tips How No To Kill An Rb25 With Bee*r Rev Limiter?

Bee*R equipped rb's sound wicked. -
I will need to do a drift show in the end of the month. Showing off is a must. I was thinking of using my friends Bee*r rev limiter. Of course there are a lot of scary stories about bee*r being the ultimate engine destroyer. But on the other hand, some people use it and their engines don't pop. So either their doing something right, couldn't be pure luck ? Want to know what you guys think about all this Bee*r thing. How to not kill an engine using it? (anticipating everyone talk me out of this lol)
-
If you open up the engine you are in for the big money and changing one valve won't do any benefit. Your stock ones should be alright. Get ecu, injectors, z32 maf and go to a shop to tune the car.

I'm thinking of getting a cheap shift light and use it as an OFF switch for the VCT. And switch ON the VCT as the engine starts. So shift light would just work as an OFF switch at 4-5k rpm and it should be good. What do u guys think of this way ? I can't think of the way to make a shift light to turn vct ON and OFF .

Guys, now its time for me too choose the paint. I've been searching for colors I like for the last few days. Small info first, thats how my car looks right now with my daily wheels Rays CV Pro 8j/9j: I'm more than positive that I will end up with drifteks 17inch 9.5jj et+17 or 15, once I will install a bodykit. I want that fat stance. Not sure on the wheels color yet. It will depend on the car color I choose. Here is how they look on factory car: Front: Rear: Bodykit will be URAS I'm not putting Wonder away. Searching for away to get it in now. Car will look similar to Huddys old A31 but with wider rims. Gonna need to roll some fenders:) Here is some color options I'm looking into. White is on the list. But its more in the end of the list. I've seen too many white A31s. Some crazy colors maybe ? But I suck with photoshop. So if anybody can do a few drafts for me, I would be very grateful. Also new Lexus IS300 colors are mad in real life. Very looking into those. Want to go with factory paint also, for the ease of repairs later. If anyone got any cool ideas, pls share them here with me. What is this color of the S13 in the end of the line ? Anyone know this color ? Desert Sage Metallic - 6U3 -

Yeah. URAS seems the easiest way. But Wonder really grows on me. Is it still available in Japan ? -
Hey, guys. Need your advice on choosing the bodykit. Wheels are drifteks 17x9.5 et 17 all around if it helps. Not decided on car color or wheel color yet. But I think it will be something like Infinity Berilium or Honda Root beer or new Lexus IS300-350 bronzy color. Don't want to make it a color choosing thread yet. This is how she looks now. Dirty and f**ked ))): 1)Bodykits I'm in China. And ready available bodykits options are pretty limited. 1.URAS 2.ORIGIN There are a few other bodykits I really like. But there are no ready available product here. Its either choosing between uras ang origin or custom job of wonder or I don't know the name bodykit.: 1.Wonder 2."I don't know the name“ What do you guys think?

What Is The Typical Knock Reading For Rb With The Vipec Ecu?
robots replied to 9krpm's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
the Vipec plug-in board doesn't support knock monitor/ignition retard on knock, right ? -
Use R32 GTS4 or GTR one.
-
replace the AFM.
-
I don't think u need different gasket. The front pipe does the job.
-
I'm looking into buying one. Can someone clear one thing for me. 1) Can I use the LINK dash with the plug-in board ? Or I have to get a V88? 2) If I go with V88, is there a plug and play adapter for the RBs ? r32 socket ? (they have one for supra) 3) Is it possible to use LINK G4 plug in adapters ? Or the pin out is different ? Haven't looked at that yet. Just and idea. Thanks!
