  4. well it doesnt have to be a power lead for ffs, use a chain, or some HD rope.. use ur head? the idea is there..
  5. heslo if u havnt got a breaker bar, try wrapping an extension power cable around ur ratchet, put it in position and lock it in and have someone pull onto it from the front of the car while you push from underneath, it worked for my mate..
  6. i had a similar problem when i put my turbo back on my R33 gtst, when i started it, oil pooled out from the turbo area, turned out my oil feed line wasnt bolted on properly.. check that they are tightened like r33_racer mentioned..
  7. ive had this same problem, and now i got an oil leak from the head behind the stud.. i called a thread proffesional to fix it, and its still leaking, is there anything i can use to seal this leak properly? rather then replacing the whole head?
  8. changed my gearbox oil today, had real trouble getting the feed bolt out, finnally got it out wit a breaker bar.. the bottom bolt had a fair few metal shavings on the magnet, cleaned it up nicely, doesnt look like any previous owner has ever changed it, put VMX80 in and running it in now.. only 2L of oil came out of my gearbox, is this normal? as ive read up here that there is supposed to be about 3.8 to 4L?
  9. split dump pipes make a big difference in flow, i recommend u get one..
  10. i done a few formal runs last yr, wouldnt mind doin a few this yr if i get my car regoed by the 16th.. cant believe its formals season already.. and yea, whos formal is it?
  11. its quiet possible, i got 220rwkw with a stock turbo on mine, i had the following: stock turbo custom exhaust manifold turbo back 3" exhaust (split dump pipe) Blitz POD FMIC SAFC II electronic boost controller we pushed it to just over 1bar on the dyno, but for regular driving i kept it on 12psi (for safety reasons).. you can see the spiking due to the cheap hybrid electronic boost controller i had at the time, with the new turbosmart valve it actually holds boost a lot better..
  12. locate your o2 sensor which is bolted on your dump pipe, you have to wire into one of those 3 wires which come out from it.. ill take a pic tommorow and post it up 4 ya..

  15. i just installed the same regulator the other day, and i left the rubber hosing as it was.. btw, how much did you pay for yours?
  16. thanx for the reply guys, jobs done for now, ill just need to get some kind of a reading on the fuel pressure.. pkblade: im a bit low on cash, so i got the fuel regulator first, my next purchase will be a fuel pump and injectors..
  17. ive had a similar problem too, but it had nothing to do with the bearings.. my problem was, a previous owner had tried to drill out studs which were snapped inside the head.. the idiot drilled too far into the head thus giving me an oil leak from there.. so i had to call a thread proffesional and reseal that hole.. when i changed my oil, i noticed a few metal shavings drop out..
  18. i recently purchased a SARD Fuel Regulator and need some help with installation.. Im pretty cluey as to where im meant to install it, im just not too sure whether i need to remove any fuel pump fuses or block off any hoses before i remove the stock fuel regulator? Also, with the new Sard regulator, it has a pressure adjustment screw. Do i need to adjust this to any particular level for an RB25det with stock injectors and fuel pump? Anyone with aftermarket fuel regulators on here, some help would be appreciated.. Thanx..

  20. ive got stock injectors and fuel pump, atm im on 232rwkw with aftermarket turbo.. he would be able to get around 240-250rwkw before maxing out the fuel pump, injectors can go a bit more maybe 260rwkw..
  21. couldnt help it, i went and checked the manifold to turbo bolts, they are intact and tightened..
  22. my next step would be turbo upgrade then PFC + Controller..
  23. ive experienced this problem in the past also.. i forgot to put the metal tabs back on, and one day i noticed the 2 bolts were missing.. ill double check that tommorow aswell though..
