  4. hmm, that actually makes sense becasue the rear quarters and the back window on my 32 are dark as anything (existing tint), and i've been pulled over plenty of times and i've never had a problem, however my side windows have no tint at all, i'm concidereing getting them done. sounds like 20% is the way too go Hope the difference isn't too much though , lol, i like your solution cheers
  5. 1st Prise Thanks mate lol, little bit of trivia for all of us, Sean'O
  6. Hello everyone, Kinda out of the blue (pretty sure this is the right section), but I was wondering if anyone knows what the purpose of this little box thing under my front license plate is for? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...i&img=59899 It has a small electrical cord coming from it which made me a bit curious :sorcerer:, ps: I did a search but couldn't find anything lol Thanks, Sean'O
  7. Ahh, Sorry about the late reply, yep thats the website above, just drop in for a quote, very nice people and they don't stuff ya around. like I said my system works very well and its up to Australian standard etc etc, plus they told me about "lesser" systems to save me hassles instead of just filling their book like many other places would, cheers, Sean
  8. Hey buddy, Yeah go the mongoose, I got talked out of the Viper because the bloke at the shop i went to (styln in melbourne) said that its a much better unit and is harder to bypass, but it all depends on the quality of the install, mine cost me about 490 ish, Very good and no probs and i've had it for almost a year, good luck with it all, Regards Sean'O
  9. Just a quick question (may be dumb lol) but how would i go about "tightening" the belts, i thought when they got worn out and started slipping you just had to replace them, can you extend the life of them?? Thanks heaps Regards, Sean
  10. I have heard on maybe one or two occasions of a "Thump!!" sound, rather than a grinding, I've got a feeling that maybe a bolt is loose back there, i'll probably get it checked out when i get new tyres in the near future. But yeah, pretty sure i have come across this before on the forums, and its an easy fix (don't quote me though ) Sean
  11. I would probably rather wait till after my exams just in case i make a mistake or something because i need my car, thanks for the clarrification though, I'm pretty sure Kezza has a 32 doesn't he? surely he would know Thanks trav
  12. To find out the type of globes i have, i'm guessing i have to take out the cluster... Then how do i tell? is there a marking or are the T10's just a different shape or something? I have an R32 by the way so if anybody else knows what type of globes i have that would be awsome ^^ Yeah what gives with the cash lol??? They probably are nicer though becasue you can just "plug n' play" Thanks, Sean
  13. Hey mate, I've got an r-32 GTS too, I can't really help you with the graph business caus I don't have a great deal of knowledge when it comes to dyno's, but I noticed you said about mounting the Pod in your front bar, how do you do that without cutting into your chassis? I have had a good look and I can't seem to find any route to cold air? Sorry for the off topic ness lol
  14. Yep, Thats exactly what i wanted to know, i didn't really want to get a cannon, i was thinking one of those "oval" mufflers like you descibe. I was also looking into someithing with twin tip, hmmm so many decisions... Cheers
  15. Hey mate, Yeah I’ve got myself an NA R32 about 6 months ago and I totally agree with you, there wasn't a huge amount of knowledge about the NA's but having that said, they do have quite a bit in common with their turbo counterparts. An R34 :jealousy:, I don't think there are too many problems with that model since they ironed out most of the bugs (such as r32 speedo's which often go astray, lol mines 20km out). I asked a friend who had owned a 180sx and a s13 (he was a bit of a kid for his age lol) just for first impression stuff like, 1. Has it been in any accidents? 2. Is there any rust damage? 3. Does the motor start from cold without any weird noises? 4. Check under each wheel arch and the engine bay to check for damage 5. Knowledge of the previous owner (if possible) 6. How many km 7. Any leaking fluids? 8. Go for a drive and make sure there are no funny sounds coming from the engine, gear box, steering, clutch etc. 9. Get the RACV to check it out for you to make sure all the things you can't check by sight are ok ie: brakes, steering components. In my case one of the seat belts didn't work and there were essential lights blown out everywhere (like indicators and stuff) which the RACV found, hence I made the dealer fix em' and convinced him to get the compliance (I was the first Aus owner). In any case its a great idea to take a friend with a bit of know how, Also I think there are a few threads around about "what to look for etc" that you can have a glance at. All in all, its still a car, and many of the 'basic' things to check for would be very similar to other cars you have owned previously. You always take a risk when you buy a second hand car , but that’s part of the thrill Skylines are fantastic to drive and very easy to take care of (in my short experience anyway), plus there are plenty of spare parts floating around (just like the VL), and there is are shite load of people (on this website in particular) who really know there stuff when it comes to technical stuff, all you have to do is ask. Good luck with it all mate, Just don't be pushed to buy the first one ya see eh' lol Regards Sean'O
  16. lol, "Very sneaky sir" I was waiting for the "ahhh dirr go to the WWW" when i read my Q again , What have you got in your current system? (not really interested in brands or whateva, just what components) so i don't sound like a dummy later lol cheers
  17. lol, ahh well your laughing then, Cheers Edit: Just looked up Hi-tech, just a bit out of my way lol
  18. Hey mate, Yeah totally agree, well done Eug!!! This group buy was an absolute ripper , I'm already itching for mine lol, may be a while till i put em on though :sorcerer: $$$$$ btw, i noticed your getting the 2.25" outlet (same as me), what are your plans for the rest of the zorst? Regards, Sean'O
  19. Wow, just ..... wow , Truly inspirational stuff mate, I would love to do this sort of project one day All the best and keep those pics coming, Regards Sean'O
  20. Hey buddy, Yeah, i've never been a blue person before but it looks mad, Good work!! Regards Sean'O
  21. Ok, Payment has been completed, Can you please confirm when payment arrives in your bank Eug, thanks mate, Sean'O
  22. Hmmm, "Orders will be sent to the delivery address that you provide us with. We cannot be held responsible if this delivery address is incorrect" lol, no pressure Eug but I’m going to double check you have my correct address in my pm "Once the goods have been received by you, all risk of damage to, or loss of, the goods shall pass to you" Well that sounds pretty reasonable really, its the same with every other product because all they are doing is selling it, so why should they be responsible if the product is dodgy eg: like a TV that doesn't turn on. I would assume that they do have a manufactures warranty by Coby however (just a guess but generally if you find something wrong with a product before you even use it, it can be returned), even though getting it back and replaced will be a bast*d As long as we follow the "instructions" for care and proper use etc, i don't think we wouldn't even need a "XXXX km's" warranty, hell the Coby warranty will probably be in the box with the instructions :wishful thinking: It’s all good, Sean'O
  23. Yeah they look pretty good, i figure i can save a bit of stuffin around by investing in these, Bit strapped 4 cash atm but interested, Thanks 4 checking, Regards Sean'O
