  1. Hey Matt, Sorry haven't got a didy atm but i do have a 32 , Well I wouldn't get a 32 if you want boot space let me put it that way, it's quite small. If your going to look at one in the flesh, just ask the bloke if you can have a peek in the boot :sorcerer:. Keep your eyes on the DIY forum, i'll hopefully be putting up a few pic's on how to install an amp and sub in a 32 within the next week or so, then you'll get some idea of the size. Thanks buddy, Regards Sean'O
  2. Hey, I know i only put my post up last night (and thanks for the quick reply ), But i just got an amp for peanuts off a mate who is upgrading his system this morning, lol. dw they will sell quick , Enjoy Melbourne mate, Thanks again Regards, Sean'O
  3. Gday Buddy, Are these puppies still for sale? Are the Amps still in boxes with all additional electronics such as the "Remote subwoofer level controller" and warranty etc etc? Where are you located? If Melbourne, consider one of them SOLD Regards, Sean'O
  4. Hey there R32_4door_drifting, Sorry about the late reply but i just managed to install my speakers the day before i went on a holiday. I got back a few hours ago lol Front speakers, well i used a pair of JBL 6 x 4's becasue a lot of ppl i had noticed installed these and they fit in flush with a few minor cuts around the edges, i'm not the best handlyman so i couldn't be stuffed installing custome encolosures for 6" splits etc. They sound pretty damn good compared to the old crappy ones, wait till you see the old ones lol. Ps: i ended up going with the 2-way JBL 6.5's in the back, sound AWSOME compared to the stocko's . i'll give you the speaker code thingo's if you want to go hunting for them, but i got all my stuff through Strathfield. Beware the 6 x 4's are a speciality so you may have to wait while they order them in. All up it cost $170 (with discounts), well worth it. 6 x 4's : GTO6426e 6.5's : GTO626e Check out this guys r32, it helped me a bit installing them.. - http://www.geocities.com/brendonmoses/gts4page22.html Other good info that made it easy for me... - http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=117576 Good luck with it all mate, Sorry again for the late reply Regards, Sean'O
  5. Gday Mulkers, Just a quick question, I know it has been a while since you put ya back speakers in but do you remember where you bought them from? Having read your DIY I’m now deciding to go with the 6.5" JBL's like you did or put in a set of 6 x 9's with some spacers. I guess with the 6.5's you keep the stock covers, which is a bonus, Any thoughts since you have now had em for a while? Thanks heaps, Regards, Sean'O ps: e-bay is an option i know, but i would like to hear them before i buy.
  6. Gday Eug, I don't know if it is just me but there are no picures in your explanation (i'm running firefox so there should be no problem). I am actually in the process of building a heat shield out of alluminium for my freshly installed POD. I would like to see how you mounted yours :PBJ: Where did you get your insulation from? Any probs with cops so far? Thanks a lot mate
  7. Hey, Thats not a bad idea, i didn;t even think about that lol. But the only downfall is that i won't have the stock shifter anymore when i eventually sell the car , ohh well food for thought. Gday ellie, I havent got around to sending the e-mail off yet, cauz Uni is really kicking my a** with late assignments, tests etc, but i will pass on an e-mail right now so i don't forget again lol, I will post up their reply as soon as they get back to me, it will be hard to pass up if its a nice unit Cheers guys Sean'O
  8. Cheers, Thanks very much for your reply, nahh i get ya, yeah noise it seems was one of the major issues with the cheaper shifters. i'll give them a call
  9. Hey everyone, I was in hospital recently and my GF got me a few car mags to read the time away and i stumbled onto this short shifter offered by Just Jap - Just Jap link (its at the bottom of the page) My first impression was "Bloody heck thats cheap, I’m so gettin one!", but after reading around on SAU, i found a few ppl saying that these 'cheapo' short shifters just give you a headache. I don't have heaps of money to spend so thats why this shifter really grabbed my attention. (PS: i have an R32 GTS with an RB20DE engine) What are your opinions? Has anyone bought one of these guys? If so what do ya think? Thanks, Regards Sean'O
  10. Hey, I work at a Mobil Servo and drive a non-turbo R-32 however i still put synergy 8000 in it. Thats becasue its not only better octane you get with the expensive fuel, they also put in additives that keep your engine running clean. I'm pretty sure Shell have similar fuels that have additives. If you go into a petrol station and ask for pamflets about their fuels you can take em' home and show ya dad in 'black and white' why premium fuel is beter for ya baby . cheers, Sean'O ps: plz don't get angry at me about fuel prices, all us servo jockies just get told on the phone by a machine what price to put fuel at.........i swear every time the phone rings lol
  11. Gday Mate, If you have the same problem that i had, i'm guessing its your low beam globes. Your right they are HC3. dw i went too all the major car places (repco etc) and found them pretty useless. You have acoupple of options like HID kits or replacing the light assembly but its much cheaper to just get more powerful globes, the ones you most likely have are i think 55W from memory. If you go to this page - http://www.suvlights.com/index.php?cPath=42 - and have a look at the 85W Philips HC3, they cost around $17 American each (they ended up around $50 Australian to get em' to Victoria). They are a big improvement, but by no means brilliant , worth having a look. Cheers
