  1. Sorry if you feel the discussion is negative towards this driver and the family. Its not the intention! We do not have the full facts of the incident so no one can comment on what, why or how of the accident. Regardless of what did take place, im sure everyone here wishes the driver all the very best and full recovery.
  2. Very well said! To organise a cams license would take you less than 1 hour of your time, a few emails etc etc. How long do you spend searching the internet world wide to get the best possible price on a gearstick knob you really want? (thats an example only) A couple of hours? For harder parts, a week or 2 if need be?
  3. This was exactly my point and having NA Goodness say what he said was an absolute text book example. Im not the best driver in the world however i have many competitive events worth of experience. AHG AUtotest and sprint rounds, drag racing, Classic Challenge, Dutton Rally, AEM speeddome, and have no idea how many laps at wanneroo driving various cars from lame to fairly wild. Yes it costs to get this experience but its such a small fee in comparison to what we spend on our cars. (Couple of grand for wheels, couple of grand for body kits etc etc). Instead of buying the guages and the pillar pod which looks really cool but you dont actually need, spend that money towards getting some track time.....if nothing else, you will learn very quickly where your vehicle limits are, where the driver limits are, and you will have a new respect for your machine. Just my 2 cents. As Paul said, if you want to get into motorsport contact him, or myself if you like as we are always happy to help people out getting in to this!!!
  4. 1. You are in serious need of driver training...and very quickly. 2. You should be no where near a HPV if this is the trouble (locking brakes and understeering) your having with a Mazda 323. Your statement indicates a complete lack of driving responsibility, care and the ability to drive a car to the conditions on the road and your own vehicles limits. Just my opinion Hope the guy is ok!!!!
  5. He wouldnt discount them for anyone....he doesnt need to lol Made a few phone calls today and their are alot of people unhappy about it. There will be within 6 months, more options of places to get the test done. Several machines are in Perth at various places, its just a matter of getting it certified which is what others are doing at the moment. No doubt it will be a huge paperwork trail for the companies etc etc hence it taking time to sort through it all. Once there is some competition for the test, the price will come down.
  6. Yes Mike, we finished in front of everyone....remember?
  7. Snozzle, that is the dumbest thing you could possibly say! How would your method 'solve' anything? Its DPI that made the ruling. Idiot.
  8. Instead of wasting money on stupid things, it would be great if they inject the money back in to the police force for training for this sort of thing, and a lot more. It would be win win for everyone i suspect. BUT.....it wont get votes come election time.
  9. Passive, its been talked about for 2 years with in the industry. It has been fairly quiet publicly though
  10. Yes and no. I am a firm believer that for police officers to be able to "Defect' a vehicle, they should have some training in that specific area. Know what to look for that IS dangerous. Measure cars ride heights etc....like in NEw Zealand. They jack up cars on the side of the road to check its safe....not just "i think ths is bad, here have a sticker and a nice day". After all, they dont just give these cops a gun and a taser and say "if someone does something you think is wrong, point this at them and pull the trigger". Its all about the training IMHO
  11. But if you fit a Kostecki ADR Approved Cat, your guaranteed to pass. Thats nice isnt it?
  12. If you get a yellow sticker, then yes. Syfon, they dont need an obvious reason to yellow sticker your car. All they need is a suspicion that something is not right and they can defect the vehicle to basically send you to the pits for a 'check'. Im not against the rules as such, but i think they need to open the approved testing to more than 1 company who is a know 'over charger'. We need choice and should be able to find some one who we are comfortable to play with our cars. If i had a v8 i would consider Kostecki's....but for a Skyline, Silvia etc? Nope.
  13. Nope, this is exactly what they want.
  14. Did you know that if a test fails, and you move the sensor to a different location in the exhaust, it will get a different reading. Do this enough times and sooner or later it will give a "PASS" Just saying. hahaha
  15. Kostecki's? Heard some bad rumours about this f**ked up rule already. Its funny how the engines they build always pass with flying colours.
  16. Compulsory use before the event for all self confessed 'burnout bogans'.
  17. Danny, 1 spot left, its yours. Ill send through the details shortly
  18. Yeah, what he said!
  19. Oh now this shit is getting good!!!!!! Keep up the trash talk bitches *sits back with popcorn and waits for Barts response*
  20. No, you used me as an extra brake hahaha
  21. If its within the spirit of the event and the pass is safe enough to do so, then go for it. But deliberatly running in to other karts, like running in the back of them to let you know they are their (Bart Knows what im talking about) then you will be disqualified instantly. If a faster Kart comes up behind you, make room and let them go past.
  22. Team Bunno has arrived with the trash talk! Welcome to the event Bart!
  23. In a more recent report the Kart track has contact the event organiser (being myself) to let me know that the karts had done a tour through the NorthWest of WA. It appears that several NorthWest drivers took no care of the machines and had damged alot of parts. (nothing structural). As a result of this, any racing considered reckless or outright stupid, the kart will be called in to the pit and the team will be instantly disqualified. There will be no warnings handed out prior to this action taking place. We have been asked to let all drivers know this 'no tolerance approach', and if you intend to come along and drive in this manner, then please do not come along at all. You can all consider yourself pre-warned so if you have this action taken against you, please do not cry and or whinge to the kart track staff, nor myself. Thanks Brad
  24. Team Bunno is in!
  25. List is updated as of now. Bart, yes there is a spot left. Be quick. Cheers
