Nothing says that someone (being a personal sale or car yard) has to do any servicing on the car. Its due for the 100,000km service which will have to come out of your pocket. To do everything properly, you would probably be looking around $1000.

As posted above, due to an over commitment from the Kart track we have been asked to book another date. Date and time has changed! Be aware of this. NEW TIME IS NOW 16th August 6.00pm

An answer to another common question. No, you can not buy the license on the day. It is your own responsibilty to have this organised in plenty of time before the event. If you do not have it sorted and ready to present on the day, you will not be allowed to race. There is absolutely no way around this as it is in the sup regs and out of the clerk of course hands. So please, make sure you organise you license asap if you do not already have one. First and last warning

Lucy, as far as im concerned you have one Look at the list Ill change it when ever your redy to what ever you decide.

Gys ive done some homework on the AASA license. All you need to do is fill in the application for CLUB RACING LICENSE. The form can be found by going to www.australianautosportalliance.com Then on the left hand side, click on FORMS & DOCUMENTS Then click on CLUB RACING LICENSE FORM and download the application. Fill the form in with all details required. Towards the bottom of the form it asks for the name of a CLub/organsiation/person who is known to AASA to sign the form. THIS IS NOT COMPULSORY. Just leave it blank. As for payments, i assume you would do it via a credit card. I have been told to write your c/c number on the bottom of the form and fax it back to them. If you dont want to do c/c and need other arrangments, unfortunately i cant help you with that. You will need to contact AASA direct and discuss the options with them. I hope that helps and answers most of the question that have been asked so far. p.s. guys ill take bookings once i have received a PM from you. I know it might be a pain in the ass but it has to be done that way. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Matt, you need a team name. It can be done later if you need to though. Also, i point your attention to the first post saying bookings will only be taken via PM

SAUWA GO-KART Endurance Race "Sponsored by Black Sun Imports" What: Go Kart Endurance Race When: Saturday 16 of August. 6pm drivers briefing Where: Wanneroo International KArt Track (Wattle Road, Wanneroo) How Much: $200 per Kart (So with 2 drivers, $100 per driver) Guys / Girls, Following a successful day of Karting over the long weekend just gone, Mike and I have decided to run an SAUWA Karting event at the Wanneroo International Karting Track. (NOT WANNEROO RACE WAY) It will be a teams event with a minimum of 2 people per team, with a maximum of 12 teams, so spots will be limited. But please feel free to come out and be a spectator and slag and generally have a good time at the drivers expense. The race will be a Le Mans start, and then into an hour (1) endurance race. Teams will require a driver change through out the event. The event is about seeing who completes the most laps over the hour. So in order to finish first, first you must finish. These karts are the twin engine Pro-Karts and not your ordinary hire karts, Top Speed is close to 100KMH, and I think Mike and I managed a 96.8 KMH trap speed. So we are looking for keen drivers that are interested in a bit of competition as well as a social fun day out Team numbers will be limited to 12, however as many drivers as you want per team. This will also have an effect on your driving time as well if you have more than 2 drivers. Teams will be competing not only for forum bragging rights, but Trophies that will be presented at completion of the race by our event sponsor, our good friends "Black Sun Imports" , for 1st (Mike & Bard) 2nd & 3rd and depending on the success we will push for this to be an annual event. Now the serious bits!! Firstly each team will need to place a credit card down on the day of racing to cover their Kart in case of damages. Now I know that this sounds off putting, but seeing as these are the Pro-Karts it is the only way around of driving them without having a CAMs kart licence. (No clean, smooth driver has ever had any damage, isnt that right NIGE ) Payment for the day must be made in full ($200 per Kart) within 1 week of you booking, to me via the bank account details he will give you once you PM to confirm your spot. If bank transfer is not possible for you, contact me and we can make alternative arrangements. NO BOOKING WILL BE TAKEN WITHOUT A PM TO ME And once numbers are confirmed, bookings will no longer be taken. In the event of a no show or cancellation before a weeks notice a 50% loss of monies will be incurred , as numbers need to be exact for SAUWA to get the group booking. SAUWA will booking the event for a Saturday 16th of August 2008 Start time of 6pm or 1800 for drivers briefing. Late entrants will not be allowed to race. Your Requirements: Bring your own full faced helmet if you want, (they do have helmets available to borrow ) Long shirt / t-shirt and pants as well as closed in shoes (sneakers) is a must. Teams will require a Team Name and a list of Drivers, And contact details that can be sent via PM(Contact Details). CONFIRMED ENTRANTS: 1. Team 'Ram-Rod' (Mike and Bard) (PAID1) 2. Team 'With Benefits' (Matt and LyEll) (PAID2) 3. Team "WTFGTFO" (Bevis and Butthead) 4. Team 'Black Sun' (Nige and co) 5. Team 'Green Wang Pump'(Scott and Mark) 6. Team 'LULWUT' (Ryan and Karl) (PAID2) 7. Team 'INFAPAZ_TT' (Tom and Tristran) (PAID2) 8. Team 'BK' (Kelvin and Bernard) (PAID2) 9. Team 'Monkey Magic' (Yann and Simon) 10. Team 'Tisfosi Racing' (Mark and Anthony) (PAID2) 11. Team 'Skidskid' (Sam and Dad) (PAID2) 12. Team 'From Bunno' (Bart and Co)

Guys, in reference to some early questions i am being PM'd, As long as you are an SAUWA member, you can race what you have (pulsar, Honda etc) In a few weeks i will be opening the event up to the public to get the numbers. I know for a fact there are 10+ V8 guys wanting to get in on this so once opened, it will fill quickly. Only SAUWA members are able to receiving any prizes etc (if any secured) for results.
-
Dale, how could i say no to you? You in.
-
Guys, committing to the event is ok, but keep in mind in a few weeks i will be opening the event up to the public. I cant wait for too long to secure numbers. Brendan, AASA license is good for racing at AHG and some Speeddome (midvale) events. If you want to get a comp license and do more events like wanneroo, speed series etc then CAMS is your better option. Dont quote me on this, but i think AASA is about $55 and CAMS is $88 (you will need to be a member of a cams affiliated club to get this.). Both for a year.

Sam, i figured you sign up Your on the list.

It will be held at the AHG driving centre on Grogan Road near the International Airport. It will consist of 5 runs per driver. 2 runs on a single skid pan, and 3 runs on the double skid pan. There are several Autokhana type course available however we wont know which courses we are doing until we get there on the day. Our Hope is that we can generate as much interest as possible from our Members and hopefully turn it into a 3 round semi-championship...not necassarily all at AHG. (different venues are currently being looked at.) Just a quick word of warning though, this is a race event. The whole idea is to come along, have some fun and post a few good lap times. AHG wont tolerate any blatant hooning or recklessness, so if your planning to come along and throw a few deliberate skids and the like, the clerk of course will end your day very quickly. We would prefer not to have to have these sorts of punishments issued to any of the SAUWA members or entrants. So please, drive responsibly and with in the spirit of the event. If you would like to enter the event, I will take bookings only via PM!!! If you dont PM me, your booking will not be taken! Once you are booked as an entrant, payment is to be made with 7 days to me. I will supply you the details for EFT payments upon receiving your PM. If you are not able to do EFT, please let me know so we can sort other arrangements. If your payment is not received and no further correspondense has been made, your booking will cancelled. Sorry to be so hard and strict on this but for organisation of the event, this will make it easier. I will not chase people up for reminders of payments. Please feel free to ask me any questions on this thread...but DO NOT whore the thread! All whore posts will be deleted. Cheers Brad SAUWA Motorsport Coordinator. p.s. Why not make it intersting and get to some tracks with Corners.... AHG, Wanneroo, Collie etc
-
Sam, because they were a secondhand set and didnt have them with them.
-
Ok i get the concept of what you are going to do. But just tell me what outcome you want to get out of it? IF it was to make an impact to the police, al they would do is get more cops off the real crimes and put them in patrol cars on the road with the instruction to pick anyone for anything no matter how insignifcant. How does that help?

Thats why you should buy/use decent quality ones. Your poor knuckles dont deserve that lol The Tein C Spanners are probably the best on the market. With a specially designed hooking part they can be used to adjust 70, 90 and 132mm spring seat/lock rings. They also have a 12.7mm hole so if you really need to use a lot of force you can use astandard breaker bar. And as the material is only 6mm thick, it will locate into lock rings, with less chance of slipping out, than others that are claimed stronger at 7 or even 8mm thick. So there ya go.
