  2. **NOTE THIS IS FOR AN AFTERNOON SESSION** Hey guys and gals, We have booked another Driver Training day on the skidpan at the RAC Facility in Kewdale!! Please make sure you read and understand all requirements before signing up to this event. Getting there on the day and saying you didn't realize the impairments and are not prepared (not having a helmet etc) will result in you being excluded and no refund will be given. So make sure you know what you need to have!! The training is held in a controlled environment on a skidpan with an instructor. We have paid for two instructors so everyone gets more time training (otherwise a lot of time is lost while the instructor changes cars). I am unsure who the instructors will be at the moment, however i have done several of these days and recommend any of their instructors. You will do a variety of motorkhana style challenges, which aim to teach things like handling of your vehicle, braking, driver seating position and several other techniques. HELMETS ARE REQUIRED - RAC no longer have any so you must supply your own helmet. When - Sunday June 27th (Afternoon) Time - 12.15pm SHARP - 4.20pm. Driver briefing is at 12.30 so BE ON TIME!! (Missing Briefing means NO track time) Cost - $75 for SAUWA Members. $85 for non SAUWA Members (If spaces available) Where - RAC Driver Training Facility. Grogan Road Perth International Airport Please note this is primarily member's only event. Places will go to members first and if there are any left, non-members can attend at full charge ($85) There are only 16 spots available so please PM me if you wish to participate and I will send you my bank account details - as you will need to pay within 7 days to confirm your spot. (First in first served basis sorry). I will not be chasing people up for payments. If you have not paid within 7 days, your spot will be cancelled with out notice and given to someone else. When you send me your PM to confirm your spot, please give me your full name, contact phone number and what model car you will be driving (preferably colour and model) so a running list can be prepared for the day and it will also make it easier for us to work out the order on the day. Your name will NOT be added to the attendees list unless you PM me, this means I won't be taking names down from people just posting their interest in this thread. Driver/Vehicle requirements: Current and Valid Drivers License Long Sleeve top, long pants required Helmet Fully enclosed foot wear Car to be registered with no safety defects Seat belts both left and right hand side front All loose items removed from inside the vehicle Road legal tyres (no slicks) If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. As i work during the day i will pretty much only respond to PM regarding this in the evenings so if you don't get an instant reply, don't panic. 3. Not a good idea for a street car though. For a drift car yes. Semi track/street car id suggest a 1.5 way as 2 is very aggressive. Just my opinion.
  4. As Bubba said...its to assit the 'idiot factor'. Its there for the car to help you when you get out of shape. Taking it out give the driver more responsibilty over the car.
  5. Depends on the workshop. Ring around and find out costings. Plenty of workshops can do the job for you
  6. Who was your instructor may i ask?
  7. Moral of the story.....Skylines attract pussy!
  8. 5x 112. Skyline wheels at 5 x 114 will go on, however dont be talked into it. The studs will break. (I mention this as ive seen this done many times.)
  9. You would be welcome to drop by and chat to me about the coilovers sometime. Brad at WA Suspensions.
  10. Just put some grease or something on the bolts on the spoiler and then line it up. When you lift it, there will be grease on the boot in the spot to drill. Easy as. Did the same way to put my gtr wing on my 33
  11. I see.
  12. Will certainly try
  13. Maybe send me some dates (with enough notice) that this would be ok for you guys? Email [email protected] Cheers Brad
  14. Always great to know when someone 'sees the light'!!!!!
  15. Not sure. It transmits, but sound does not carry. I could open it up but im no good with electrics and soldering etc.
  16. Can do another one when ever. If you would like, i will organise one. As for timed, it can be, but cost and getting the numbers is the hard part.
  17. We (SAUWA) held a driver training event on the weekend out at AHG. Very good start.
  18. While where at it, any one know who can repair the hand mic on a GME UHF? Sorry to steal the thread bubba....but i figure your prob is as good as my prob with UHF so lets pool our resources.
  19. Legality says the car has to have 100mm clearance...which it does EXCEPT for the exhaust which is 15mm low. Sooooo it actually doesnt have 100mm clearance? All tyres have to have load ratings on them.....his tyres do not. To cut or modify a main structual part of the car is not allowed. Never has, never will....so why is it a problem that they picked that? Not sure why you thinks its 'total cop talk'.
  20. Sorry dude, but your car is illegal
  21. Write a letter of complaint to your MP aswell.
  22. I guess the dealshe can do on cars depends on alot of other thing other than just if he is a nice guy. Cost of the car, shipping, repairs and licensing etc etc etc. So it would depend on what he has in his yard at the time. Good luck
  23. It appears that there are now 3 spots available. if you have friends that would like to join us and do some laps, then please bring them along. (Cash will have to be the way) my number is 0402 507 738
  24. Do you have his contact number? If so can you contact him? Phone is easier and quicker.
