  1. im not saying its definately it but i would check that first in the process of elimination
  2. KYB Shocks will not like the lowered ride too much. In fact, id go as far as saying you would be wasting your money.
  3. Check the castor rod bushes. If they are original hydraulic, put something better in there. A polyurethane bush is enough (Do it properly and get the castor adjustable ones), dont have to go as far as adjustable rods.
  4. Yes a good looking wheel. Id have them on mine.
  5. I have just changed my exhaust from 4 and quarter inch (yes i am aware its way too big, it was on it when i bought it)from cat back to a 3" cat back (Thanks Disko_Tek) and have just filled up tank. Lets see what that gets me!! P.S. 4 and a quarter inch exhaust for sale. Nice note, shinny cannon on back. Will make good paperweight or door stop.
  6. I believe salad did just tell you something. Theres heaps of options available to you. SK's bilstein kit is apparently good for road/track (though i dont know for sure, ive never used it ) or Tein Oz spec super street coilovers. If thats out of budget, how about 4 king springs, 4 KYB shocks. Price should be somewhere around $1000 fitted?? Alternatively, ring around your area and get their opinions....though i suspect it will be much the same as mine.
  7. I like it....oops, did i type that outloud? ha ha (kidding, not my cup of tea) Be careful it does not tear your boot lid off at 100kph! CARTOYS in SA have things like that. Dont know how much as never really looked hard.
  8. YOU heavy right footed??? No, i would not believe that! ha ha Correct me if i am wrong but GTR O2 sensors are genuine Nissan only and $400 each?
  9. Easy to fit. Go get one and if you cant fit it yourself let me know. I have a crows-foot tool which makes the job a hell of a lot easier. Job takes 10 minutes (thats with a bourbon and cigarette break of course)
  10. When i bought my stock skyline (59000km old) i was getting 280-300 km per tank. I spoke to a guy who knows skylines and he said change the oxygen sensor and ill get 400+km easy. I Changed the sensor (i used an aftermarket NGK one if that makes any difference to anyone) and now still running BP98, still stock setup i get 480...maybe 500km if i really try. Thats with normal driving and the occasional "spirited" moment.
  11. $1000????? WOW!!! Parts here in Aust retail at $650. Fitting including wiring should only take 2 hours. Front Motors can be fitted while in car, rear shocks out, fit motor, refit shocks then run the cables. 2 hours max. When i fit a full kit (Tein Struts and EDFC) i only charge 1 hour extra labour for EDFC.
  12. I dont know where, but somewhere on the net is the WA Code of Practise that you can download. Its all the can do's and cant do's. Its about 74 pages long.
  13. What about places like Xspeed or CarQuest?? I know Raymond at CQ has a few there, dont know if its what your looking for though.
  14. already tried that. I wont repeat what her response was. Id be warned for foul language!!
  15. Yeah thanks Sullivan, you just lost me a good paying job HA HA HA But seriously, very well done. Should be added to the DIY for others that are not sure how it is done.
  16. I was not at my car a great amount of time. I was with my mate (cruise virgin) with his RB25Silvia so spent most of time at meet points walking around looking/chatting. Was a good quick cruise. Good to see the money raised. Enjoy your trip to America Adrian
  17. Re: Teins being assembled here in Oz is correct. Fulcrum do carry all parts needed to make them complete/rebuild/modify. The difference between Jap and Oz spec is mainly in the shock valving. Spring rates are the same (4kg (or 225lbs) front and rear)
  18. HA HA you have had this argument before huh? Learn to do what i do. When people tell you that you are wrong and know nothing and brands such as D2 are better, just say "ok" and move on. Eventually they will learn by their own bad mistake.
  19. EXactly as Pulp said. Once you have the replacments in your hand and your looking at it, it will all make sense. If you cant figure it out, i will fit them for you, for $100 plus GST
  20. I will try and get there for this cruise. May nor be able to get to city west until about 7.30. Should not be a problem do you think?
  21. Agreed again. The base adjustment is basically the easiest way to make the whole package "universal fitment". everything else maybe wrong for your car, or your application. Valving, Spring rates, even stroke lengths and shock body lengths could all be wrong.
  22. Sorry, misread your post. I am surprised though. Ive been over with Whiteline Adjustable arms on the rear and they knocked me back. Whiteline arms have the bushes, not rose joints so i thought would be ok, but guess not. Maybe i got an inspector having a bad day.
  23. Hey Guys, I will be in Melbourne next week. Will have a few days spare and thought it would be a good chance to go have a look at Melbourne parts/performance and import car yards to see what good stuff you guys get that we dont get here in Perth. I am staying in Melbourne city basically and wont be hiring a car (Trains, bus, taxis will be used) so if you can give me any idea as to where some good shops thats cater for this are, that would be great. Hope you guys can help me out. Thanks Brad.
  24. XSpeed and WA Suspensions are the WA distributors for Tein OZ Spec. You may find that the reason you were picked at the pits is the adjustable arms. They dont like them. Some coilovers will pass the pits as long as the spring rate is not to high and they dont deem it too hard, and the bottom mount of the strut is not height adjustable e.g. D2 etc.
