Tend to basically agree with what has been said. More or less the PFC's greatest advantage was its ease of use coupled with its reasonable price. Now that the prices have gone up, other options have become more reasonable comparatively. If you have a tuner that is happy and confident with tuning an emanage ultimate, I think it would be a very strong option

Picked up a silver RXT Boss helmet today As said in my '2nd hand helmet' thread, only looking to use it for a few track days, off street drags, go karting etc. Think this one should suffice quite well Fits nice and snug and is reasonably comfortable, and looks good IMHO. Very happy so far!! Need to test her out soon!!

Meh I think smoked tail lights can look great on the right car But its definitely defectable. It makes it more difficult to see your brake lights

BG model Mazda 323s - the A pillar plastic trim always goes brittle and falls off, and you cant get them second hand because they break as soon as you try and take them off

Buy something cheap to purchase and run and maintain which is also slow, as your first car. Drive around in it, do your stupid shit in that car (because inevitably you will. guarantee it.), then look at getting something nice a bit later. Im not saying you need to wait ten years before getting something better, but for your first year or two behind the wheel, stick to something a bit more boring and a bit more front wheel drive. Your life will thank you for it...

Well yeah thats spot on what Im after funkymonkey. R33 racer - I appreciate what youre saying but its not really what Im getting at. I agree that safety is very important but remember that it isnt like youre getting top of the line equipment when you hire a helmet when you go to a track day anyway - for all you know the hire helmets could have been dropped and generally abused by others who have hired them? If I were actually competing in events, for sure, different story. But for the occassional track day or spurt down the quarter in my street car, I dont think there will be much if any difference between a great helmet and a second hand one... If it meets the Australian design rules then I really think it will suffice...
