  3. firstly define hi boost ? were your running head studs ? and yes what was the deck roughness like ? even though in the " race engine builders hand book " they say "the gaskets surfaces must be near polished, the problem is there must be some tooth to retain the gasket its a fine balancing act"

  5. at the moment i'm talking to dailey engineering about building dry sump pan system for rb30 RWD with the pump attached so there's only 3 lines coming off it scavange to tank pressure to pump and pressure to engine and the pan is billet have a look at the vq35 pans also had a chat to ati about building a balancer with a 60 minus 2 crank trigger in it too http://www.daileyengineering.com/vq_35.htm and the regulators you were talking about i believe the race v8's run as much vacuum as possible for more HP http://www.petersonfluidsys.com/engine_breath.html on my mate's 25/30 we run a 3 stage peterson pump and plumb the cam covers back to the tank with no restriction in 3 years only problem we had was when the turbo died and we had no screens on the scavenge and the pump ate the ball bearings destroying the rotors $160 later and all fixed

I'm not naive i just cant stand the crap that some people carry on about Motec don't sponsor anybody EVERYONE has to pay for it vipec on the other hand i dont know P.S whats your story about operating temperature of the unit ??? PSS how is the vipec more accurate ?????
  10. ummm were is dirtgarage when you need him for some good old motec bashing ??? bigmikespec has you idol gone away ? someone has too keep up the fight and it may as well be you now ? what ecu does swiper the fox's car have now ??? not the inferior one does it ? even mark is his gtr still run's an motec adl3 and motec e888 to measure the greater temperature extremes you talk about how many real top level motorsport cars run motec I mean REAL race cars i.e dakar,rally raid,alms then to the national stuff like aus safari,finke,arc,super taxi's class 1 offshore power boats and the list goes on and on don't these class's operate in the most rugged extremes of the environment has to offer BUT the vipec is still better but vipec make you car idle so much better like when does that really matter racing is Wide Open Throttle where it's meant to matter
  11. the real difference is the data logging the motec is leaps and bounds better than the vipec but you dont need that for a daily

ECU well it's whatever floats your boat though a powerFC will do it just fine in the future if you want REAL data logging look at a MoTeC Injectors well i wouldn't go past injector dynamics the ID1000's would suit nicely Fuel system start all new lift pump 040 to surge tank 3L is good the two 044's feed both sides of the rail

I love all the vipec/link/rayhall fanboi's ever since dirtgarage/foxy start the ranting about how good vipec was, and how it was going to dominate all in it's way ??? and all the motec is sh!t talk ?? then in for sale section i read that he's installed motec in his car ????? $50K with all the latest updates since (MoTeC M800, custom loom, sensors etc...loom was done by Robbo who does a lot of the V8 Supercar teams...pretty much the best in the business $7500 worth) ummmmmmmmm please after all the crap i read about how good vipec is he upgrades to a motec ???? NO not and inferior product any way have a nice day

  21. one question will the ID injectors help your car win races like vipec does ? or will it have a good idle ? and happy new year !!!
  22. there not as such "customised" more matched so you shouldn't have to trim individual cylinders more that a couple of % there also batched so if you have an injector fail you can order another injector of the same batch also they have a youtube vid of running id2000's in a NA integra there said to idle well the twin turbo V8 boy are using them too as you can run big pressure to the injectors the 2000cc can run to 3710cc with 130psi to them i believe they match them by the duty cycles 7000revs 80% 60% 40% 20% 6000revs 80% 60% 40% and so on and different voltages
