Hey i have a HKS EVC 5 for sale, was purchased of SLIDE shop who is a trader on this site a few weeks ago. I took it out the box and ran the wires in my GTR but as i received my blitz dual SBC controller back (i find it easier to set up as i have used them for years) i have reverted back to the blitz item. THis thing has literally powered up and thats it, still have all documentation etc to go with it not a scratch on it. Can be viewed before sale and pic up avalible. It retails for 880 delivered on nengun now and 750 on slide, im after 650 ono. Will get pictures tomorrow for you all
can contact through PM here
will ship anywhere/pick up
bank deposit payment
cheers
how are you going with this? I just ran my dyno up and i need a bigger exhaust, gets real large restriction around 280 rwkw, and looking for around 350 while being quiet and streetable with out picking up defects.
AED are decent, build HEAPS of big hp v8 motors, and jobbie works out of there (head porter). They would have a solid base to work from building a RB26. Could even tune and run in on the engine dyno if you desired. I would recommend also, tony knight engines and john keen for engine assembly. I know a guy building a LS1 stroker now, and is trying out lewis engines machining now, as we are getting sick of the pricing from rhemacs.
Cheers
its all you need, these things are simple. 2 wires goto the solenoid, the other two (one to 12v and one to ground) and thats it. Add some vacume line and your sweet.
Yep, i checked VPW sell a kit for 278, then addition of injectors, about 132 each (www.injectorsonline.com)so not really much cheaper.
Im stoked i bought nismo afms, injectors, reg, boost controller when the dollar was up at 94 cents!!
Cheers
Just went and had a look at my torque split gauge, its not in percentage, its in kg/m, so does that mean its maximum lock is 50 kg/m not a full 50% split....
If it works it works, i seen a really sweet one from the states ill try find a pic
not sure if its really good i have never used an electric one before.
lol i just laid the pipe down, so what was that about multiply torque again lol and to think i done all this at uni
i like power= torque x angular velocity because then u dont need to divide by a constant to get correct number etc.
Cheers
mate this is the same will all insurers, thats why you always read all the documentation that comes with the insurance so you know what you are getting.
I have the tomei ones they look awesome, if they work half as good as they look it will be good, fit perfect also. I picked them up for 600 for the pair new. I dont like the HKS split ones (or their copies) as the main feed it too small in my opinion and the single large dump works better.
the garrett -9 is actually the HKS GT SS equivalent, its the actual same turbo as the gt ss, the garrett and hks cartridge numbers are actually the same.
With these -9s ( i have searched and have seen disco talking about them alot) and the HKS GT SS turbos will they reach 350 rwkw? I'm trying to build an awesome responsive std stroke 26, paying particular attention to getting the exhaust and inlet flow in the head right up (mostly exhaust as they are quite poor standard). My aim is 350 rwkw and i want to be able to make this on pump all day. I have all the parts just not the turbos and oversized valves at the moment.
Cheers
Being serious, they dont worry about x-raying any welds or make you do any tests, Ring rory up, hand over 250 + gst he has a look at the bar writes a letter and your on you way being a happy camper to regency. I literally done this 2 months ago.
Im praying that $1400 was for a whole heaps of mods and just not the hicas rack, because if it is you got f**ked. I had mine engineered by rory about 2 months ago and was 250 i think all done.
I have had dealings with both rory and doug, and as they say if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all, thats why i keep going back to rory.
