  1. would you recommend over the acl?
  2. Tell me about it, i pm ages ago for it, literally have cash burning a hole in my pocket for a cusco one then i seen his post, messaged, never got reply so im going cusco.
  3. awesome thanks for that, ill order it for my build.
  4. Has anyone used the ACL full gasket kit? I would like to know if its any good, if not i will go genuine nissan (URAS said a place that sells them genuine but unbranded i think) and ill just get a metal head gasket instead. Thanks for input.
  5. The 2 cusco is Mz and Rs i thought, one is for street one for track? I made thread about front lsds a week or so ago. Im looking at getting the track variant.
  6. Are you going to pull the sump to check what pistons and rods are in it?
  7. I already PM you gary few days ago, eager to get the reply.
  8. With some reading on fresh alloy seems the quaife if they are actually making them again is 1499 US... not bad, full race dude is using a ATS and says its awesome. hmmmm might have to send him off a PM Just sent him a pm
  9. I understand the way it works, but superior and cost effective are two things that i must look at, i dont want to sink 20g more into this thing. Do you have a price for one?
  10. i have found the cusco RS i think (street type) for 1360 delivered, not bad and thats in australia...1 way or 1.5. I might look into the quaife one.
  11. Hi i have been looking for a front lsd for my GTR while the engine is out, does anyone know where to order from? I have had a look on nengun and cant see any to suit. Cheers Prefer NOT OS GIKEN as they need a lot of machining to fit in the sump, cheers.
  12. In the std type shaft the unis are not replaceable, i have had custom ones made up and they can match the out put shaft up with a holden VL yoke, or equivalent and then you can use genuine unis which are 10x stronger then a hardy spicer one. Worked out well.
  13. Only thing that i would say is if you know your minimum oil thickness on your bearings, and what micron the filter can filter out you can see if a magnet will actually help you. Because very very fine particles can be in the oil with no ill effects and the oil film is thicker then the particle.
  14. The bigger the duration the further up the rev range the effective power band of the cam is, so in one hand you have a 2.4L with "reasonably" small turbo for response, then u put in drag spec cams that would make 500 rwkw.
  15. That will depend on what computer you run. If you run something good such as autronic/motec/haltech i wouldnt be suprised if you can get 272 and 800 cc injectors to idle almost like stock. Its all in the computer and skill of the tuner.
  16. for 600 atw the 3540 is the perfect choice, it will be maxed, but thats what you want out of the turbo.
  17. the 3540 1.06 will definitely go over 400 rwkw, so choose one to suit your application.
  18. are u taking wheels or crank?
  19. Do you have the oil control modifications done to the motor? The catch can may be a bit of a band aid fix for oil in the intake, but a much cheaper fix.
  20. Stock pump definitely fine for a lift pump, just make sure the return is same entry as it will pump fair bit of fuel at no pressure.
  21. Just following up this topic for anyone that is interested....I was talking to peter hall who used to work for willall and now works at a shop i frequent to buy parts. Anyway he recommended the ATI balancer over the Ross, and said that the 26 std balancers are usually shagged by now. Also recommends the performance metalcraft sumps. Im going std rods as well now with just some arp bolts (only 100 bucks), main and head studs, acl gasket kit, acl race series bearings, ATI balancer, performance metalcraft sump, reusing my pistons and N1 oil pump etc. Another thing he said that most people over look was a front LSD, he says if u have to not spend money somewhere else on the car to get this its well worth the money and really transforms the car, im going to look into it. He recommended ATS over OS giken as ats is direct kit, OS you need to machine the sump for it to fit in.
  22. Oh just seems alot faster then anyone else is getting, i wish my setup would perform like this! Id be very happy.
  23. 17 psi at 2000 rpm, i dont think so. would be near double that.
  24. i swapped from the .82 GT30 to the 1.06 3540 with out any problems everything lined up exactly, but the exhaust isn't fitted correctly?
  25. I think you need to have a look at this thread http://www.performanceforums.com/forums/sh....php?t=67218679 He had a gt60 and its just too big, he now has a precision turbo good for 2000 hp and is a shit load lighter then the garrett turbo. Check it out.
