I think my T18 is fairly unsafe..its sound mechanically and dynamically but Corollas as a rule aren't hevaily built and its pillarless construction, long , flimsy doors and unnerving body flex are frightening if you consider the possibility of someone ploughing you.

One I prepared earlier... This one still has a long way to go..

Spec list, let me know what I should change mad082. Frame: '07 STP0, small/13.5" Fork:'09 Reba Team , maxle light, 80mm travel Shifting: XT shifter, dura-ace derailleur, dura-ace cassette Cranks: Truvativ Holzfeller howitzer (original stp parts), E13 guidering Guide: E13 LG-1 Pedals: Wellgo MG-1, Ti axles Bar/stem: Azonic world force 1.5", azonic shorty 60mm, ODI Ruffian lock-ons Seat: Funn Skinny RL, easton EA70 post Wheelset: stock STP, rhyno lites on formula front/shimano 525 rear, 36 hole. Tyres: Schwalbe tabletop 2.25" folding, maxxis flyweight tubes. Headset: stock stp whatever it is, carbon spacers Brakes: stock stp Juicy 5s, 140/160mm rotors. Nothing has really cost me much money to upgrade, as people were keen for the stock pike 409, e13 sts, sdg seat and post, easton bar and stem, SRAM X7 shit etc that came off it and everything has been at shop/staff price thats gone on.

Nah, go on, tell me where I could have spent less, saved more weight, and had the same durability. I'm all ears (metaphorically speaking). I am fully aware it has super heavy hubs and cranks, but thats about it. As for '09 pricing..We'll have to wait and see. I personally think they're just trying to drive second quarter sales through doom and gloom predictions.
-
Yeah... Function and weight would be the two main reasons. Cost me $260, dropped 200 grams, anywhere approaching $1/gram lost is good value generally. I run the 11-21t cassette for the 1 tooth steps in gearing, combined with a super shortcage road derailleur this makes for extremely fast and sharp shifts, reliably, which is what I need. I think I know how to spec a bike, just quietly...and the 'better things to spend money on to save weight' have basically all been done - its almost 4kg lighter than when it left the shop - with only cranks and hubs left to drop any significant amount (which should between them drop it into the high 11kg range). Just bought this; '09 Specialized Fuse 3 I've seen the pricing for the two brands the shop I work at...really hasn't changed...specs are better at all the pricepoints as usual...Parts pricing for '09 seems much the same...I think this is a myth.

Interesting project, keen to see how it turns out. Certainly an unorthodox approach, especially given the car's purpose in life, but I wager you're a better judge of that than some bloke across the tasman on a computer! Thats an L-series six old mate, only one cam there!

No probs, will do, paid the money today so hopefully maybe next weekend will have it here. But they are either FILTHY or painted black :
-
I will have a set, I just have to physcally go get the motor they're coming off.

Bought a stock '07 Giant STP0 in mid '07, swapped seat and post... Changed bars, stem, pedals, cassette... Changed a few more things, tyres, chainguide, pedals, brake rotors... Then changed, derailleur, cassette (again, 11-21t dura-ace this time).... Went racing... ...Won some races '09 Rockshox Reba Team maxle light at 80mm So I started with a ~16kg stocko STP and now have a dialled 12.3kg 4X race bike.

Is this the same stuff the user Angry is selling on the R31club? Just that a big chunk of text and half the pics in the original post are the same.

Et For 19" To Stagea Autech 260rs

Unless you work at Tempe Tyres, I fail to see how 19" tyres are more common than 18" ones. -

What drugs are you on? -
JDS might too.

Has anyone replaced JUST their springs? I've got healthy Nismo shocks, but jeezus, I can get 4-5 fingers between tyre and guard all round. Can I use R33 GTS-T springs? GT-R springs? Want to get it down minimum 50mm or so. Probably 60+.

Change you're driving, not the car. As if cops could give two shits about an Integra Type R unless every time they see it it is getting flogged.
-
Just wondering if theres anyone in Tassie who knows their way around installing and COMPETENTLY tuning a GReddy E-Manage down here? Not for outright grunt either, just considering ways to squeeze some decent economy out of the missus' stagea.

Just wondering if anyone has tried running the RB20DET 10psi actuator and what the result was? Basically...The Stag has a HKS adjustable actuator right now, which is all well and good but I don't want to run the 12-17 psi its realistically designed for, and with it wound out to restrict boost below 10psi I think its affecting low rpm boost response by holding the gate partially open. I'd like to stick it (the HKS actuator) onto my HR31 which will be running 14psi plus where it will be ideal; and fit the 10psi actuator the 31 currently has onto the stag. Ideas? (S1 RB25DET, auto)

All of the above differentials will fit. I would use the Z31 Turbo: 3.7:1 Clutch LSD diff. It will be more than strong enough for an RB25DET and should give you the top speed range you wish for, the LSD is a very good unit as well.

R31 Cross Member Swap?
floody replied to stufeet's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
In a Pintara, the motors are a bolt in but they do sit a LONG way forward and high , I'd be thinking about making lower, rear set mounts. Question covered plenty of times on the r31skylineclub boards. S13 rear end won't swap easily into any R31. Imports have IRS but its completely different (Datsun style trailing arm) and aussie delivered cars have a borg warner live axle/4 link setup. -
Unless its a combination of issues, i.e. the gate not being held shut long enough to build boost low in the revs, but the separator restricting its movement enough that it builds big boost up high...

We just bought ours, '97 S1 RS Four Dayz. Nismo springs/shocks, Nismo full exhaust, HKS turbo actuator, M's pod, decent Jap-spec Sony upgrade stereo (although getting a bit slow to load tracks, may upgrade), Splitfires, twin sunroofs, S2 style steering wheel, cloth interior, clear rear indicators. Lovely car really.
-
Oh, awesome. I'm afraid I'll try and get one a bit more locally though, thanks for the offer.
-
Missus bought a Stagea; she doesn't have her license (yet) so I'm driving and instructing in it for a while, haha. Silver '97 RS Four Dayz, stock exterior. Nice car.
-
Just wondering if the Stagea airbox and associated brackets are shared with any of the skylines? Ours has a M's pod on it and, frankly, its a bit too much 'farken whoosh' and overly fully sik for my liking. edit: '97 S1 RS Four Dayz.
