  1. Monaro's a big step up from the poorly built wallowy front wheel drive heaps of shit that the yanks are used to...
  2. Theres a what down here? Can't say I've heard of that beast. And whats a 3UZFE? I thought there was only the 1UZFE 4.0l and the 4.7l 2UZFE in the Cruisers? I'll believe it when I see it! cheers, floody
  3. I've decided I need to find a few-seasons-old kart chassis and a ZX-12R kawasaki motor, after I watched this clip - I mean why stop at 115ps when you can have 185... http://home.no.net/kjerts/GIXXERKART.WMV AWESOME! :devil1:  but a regular kart would be fun, too....
  4. I'd swap my damaged R31 for a silvia, that'd be a pretty crazy swap!
  5. Don't try and defraud coles. I mean, trolleys aren't painted red, they aren't morons. Try and find out if they have surveillance, and find the car that hit yours.
  6. G'day, I'm after a series 3 R31 skyline front bumper reinforcement and a filler panel (that fibreglass moulding between the bumper and the bottom of the headlight). Will pay freight from anywhere as long as you box it up well. cheers, floody
  7. When's someone going to post the MASA BNR34 front end conversion?
  8. I can't believe Skaife wasn't black flagged the very lap it became apparent, indeed even the very move that caused it was sus. You can't just drive round with panels hanging off.... Also, he shouldn't have gone for that move on Bowe anyway, it was plain dirty, but I expect that of Skaife. S.Richo's hit on JB was pretty dirty too, Not to mention Larry's BULLSHIT comments about it, well done Brad Jones to not erupt when Larry spewed such crap. Interesting to see what happens after scruiteneering, It seems strange to me that Murphy suddenly picked up so much pace....His team were heard to say on the radio "pick up as many stones and crap as you can to bump the weight up..." An interesting race, tis for sure. I was really disappointed Bowe/Jones didn't get on the podium, and surprised that Murph's qualifiying for held out.
  9. Jimmy is getting pretty desperate and dirty this year...
  10. The V engines wouldn't be a nissan version of something along the lines of an "FE" toyota engine, by any chance, of course with the VVL? I basically mean a narrow angle valve placement, narrow cylinder head, with one primarily driven cam and one driven indirectly via a gear on the primary driven cam? or am I on the wrong track?
  11. in an escort? haha yeah right! Escort's don't have power anything, mine didn't even have horsepower
  12. I second that, my esky van had really deep offset rims with low-pro 185's, and a tiny little steering wheel plus a bunch of camber....dang talk about hard to turn the steering wheel at low speeds!
  13. Man, what a PITA... I only want to compete in club level sprint type events, which a 2S license would be enough for but noooooo, to import a car I need a C3..
  14. I drove: Volvos 1977 Escort Van 1967 datsun 1000 2dr sedan HiAce SBV Holden VS S-Ute VN commolexcen others I have forgotten... cheers, floody
  15. What if you don't have a C3 license. Could you ship a car in to use for trackdays, and trailer it there and back without registering it? How would that work? cheers, floody
  16. Maybe we're more likely to be out driving on our wicked roads, as opposed to trash talking each tohers cars/endlessly chuntering on about our ub3r l33t dr1f7 sk333lz, like a lot of other states ? cheers, floody
  17. mflood@utas.edu.au whats the rubber like?
  18. haha, ROFL! gold!
  19. Is that white one in NZ darK ? I just thought the Victorian plates suggest otherwise? R34 GT-R rims on the R32, definitely the look! especially good, In my opinon, with the rear wing replaced by a "drag lip", and those chunky skirts. That silver car though....Why paint them gold...eeeeugh!
  20. I just thought I'd add that if you can source a sump from a Z31 200ZR (like a 300zx, but with an rb20det from the factory), that should make the conversion a little less painful. I'd like to pull the RB30E and five speed from my R31 and stick it in a 240z, don't think that will happen though... cheers, floody
  21. It was about dawn in Paris, IIRC. Seems like you might have a different one or exceptionally low quality. AWESOME footage. But yeah, climb dance would be the most amazing bit of in car footage, to me anyway....god thats some balls!
  22. Shell, you got it in one. When toyota started marketing camries (the collective noun?) aggressively, the second hand market for volvos became flooded and died, this was about 1992. Why? because every (old) man and his dog (jack russel) traded their old 240GL in on a new camry.......and so on, until 240 and 740 series volvo values were dead, and all the fogies were in camry's.. cheers, floody
  23. Yeah, thats a C110 skyline (so is the purple/silver one) - The car you speak of , INASNT, would have been a datsun 240k, which is the same body. However, the Aussie delivered 240k was basically the bottom spec GT skyline, with an even lower spec L24 from the current-at-the-time Laurel sedan. The jap one got fruit like twin SU's and higher comp in the L24, and the option of the GT-R model with a S20 2.0 litre DOHC six. You could build a nice replica gt-r off a 240k though... In short, INASNT, 240k's are getting more valuable, but in comparison, cost wise to a jap GT skyline, "piece of shit" is still where its at in the price stakes. cheers, floody
  24. SkylineD, think of it like this: Imagine it was the other way round, and the japanese took a liking to buying ex p-plater VN commodores. Imagine said thrashed old commodores getting tarted up , stuck on the boat, and sold for exorbitant mark ups to little japanese bogan kids..... Now do you see why so many people get bodgy GTS-T's? cheers, floody
  25. HOLY ANCIENT THREAD BATMAN!! Why would you want the paul newman GT-ES HR30? L20ET is like Nissan's lamest motor..... DR30 RS-X, thats the *R30 to have! cheers, floody
