Hi there guys and gals the names Shane and this is my first post here on SAU.
Just a bit of background info quickly, i am a member on supraforums.com.au as my daily driven car is a 93 Supra, but i have been a big fan of the Skyline since its humbles beginnings of sucking the headlights out of v8's around mt panorama.
The reason im here is because a good mate of mine and I have come up with an idea and are throwing up the possobilities, the pros and cons etc.
What we wish to do is purchase an R32 prefferably a GTR as a solid base. There is no need for the car to be registered or made complient as we only wish to use the car for track days, and club outings so on and so forth. We are hoping to mod the car engine wise, interior, and overall look to really make it into some sort of track weapon. We both have some knowledge of the auto industryand are using this ase a base project to start us off in hopefully the right track we wish to go.
What we would like to know from owners of skylines in genereal and from the owners of R32's turbo or non turbo, what are your opinions on the car and what potential do they have to be modded. Do you guys know of any issues we should look for before purchasing apart from the general? What year, month, model are known to be the best of the R32 as im not sure of the history as i have only worked on my Supra.
If this project gets off the ground i will do my best to keep you informed of the project and hopefully meet some of you guys at a track day in the near future!
Any information you can provide would be much appreciated.
