  1. if someone was to put this in their car with the same mods as mine without a boost controller and fuel pump, how wud it run. obviously it wouldnt run to its optimum level but would it still be better than standard ECU without a touch up tune? regards Anton Sidd: i know the feeling bud
  2. I have one used apexi power fc in good condition. It is compatible with series 1 and series 2. reason for sale: returning my car to stock. Price and payment conditions: $950 or $900 trade with your stock ecu (has to be series 1 manual)- FIRM. Will send anywhere at buyers expense or local pickup in western sydney NO HANDCONTROLLER INCLUDED, but u save on a tune as this was done only 6 months ago.   3. if uve only got 1k get a high flow from slide, as a gcg or equivalent ball bearing one will set u back at least $1500. u will definitely need an aftermarket computer or piggyback. ud also need a bigger fuel pump and some injectors or at least a fuel reg.

  8. Bernie: i reckon the gap on the plugs shoudl work the treat for the misifiring or at worst the coilpacks. But i cant explain the boost problem. its not detoniation or knock or anything. it really feels like a leak, maybe in one of the BOV hoses. Blind elk: i think the tune is ok, think its a mech problem Turbo x: its not overboosting bud. the boost controller is set to 12.5 psi and the guage is reading correclty. and i dont think its a turbo problem. ive checked the cat and the turbo, all seems fine Munro gtst: shit to drive aye! Striker: ill check the hoses
  9. yeh i will look at the coil and sparkies for the misfire problem but this cant explain the boost problem
  10. hey peoples, ive got a bit of a problem that im hoping some of u may be able to help out with. The first problem seems like a boost like but im not sure. Basically, it happens only from gears 3 to 5. When i put the foot on the throttle the boost guage goes all the way to my max boost (12.5psi) but along the way the car doesnt feel like its really pulling boost. It sorta revs funny with a little dip and then tries to get back to the normal rev. Its really wierd. How can i exaplain it. Its sorta like a hesitation in building boost. The car is a shit to drive atm, especailly because through gears 1 and 2 its misifiring under high load. BTW its a series 1 r33 gts-t. Ive got turbo back exhaust, power fc, blitz boost controller, fuel pump, front mount, pod and BOV. Do u think it might be the clutch? i dunno Any suggestions will be much appreciated Thanks Anton

  12. you may have but i found out the unlucky way when my pump was leaning out when i was getting my pfc tune. so i had to put things on hold and get a new one in there. id say jus be on the safe side and get one because realistically speaking the stockers are only good for about 200 rwks so there lifespan is just a matter of time at that level.
  13. sounds a tad low. id say uve only got a cat back right? finish of the rest of the exhuast with a split dump and high flow cat. leave boost at that level and get a SAFC or an aftermarket ecu with a tune. upgrade ur intercooler to a better flowing side mount or a front mount. by this stage u should be pushing 200 rwks. id also change the fuel pump before the tune.
  14. try and talk to just cars a bit more to bring the agreed value higher..i did the same thing and it worked. mind you ive been with them for a few years now
  15. u paid way too much for a safc tune. it should be only a couple of hundred dollars at most. Secondly ur power seems ok. post up ur dyno graph. remember its not all about peak power. if u have a nice curve, it means u have good average power throughout the rev range. if u get a high flow cat u might net a couple of kws. ALSO if ur running good a/f ratios now, an aftermarket ecu will not increase ur peak power too greatly, contratry to common expectation. it will give u great mid range.

  17. why?????????? the sr20 engine is so reponsive...if anything dude, drop an rb25, but srsly an rb20, complete waste of time
  18. the only other thing i can think of man is the timing, afm (which uve cheked), a blocked cat, a failing fuel pump or new or re plugged gaps. have u looked at all of these?
  19. oh k i c...it just seems like sumthing that hitman may say..lol..no but srsly, if it is bothering u so much (and i know it would me too) take it somehwere else. at what rpm does it start to detonate and through which gears. btw why did u detune it?
