  2. edit: actually none of my business. dont wanna know.
  3. how'd u go against that 300c?
  4. besides the obvious (lucky you didnt kill him), i have only one thing to say: :laughing-smiley-014:
  5. agreed. a new o2 sensor made no difference to my fuel economy, although some claim it made a huge difference to theirs. from what i gather, the biggest difference between differing results (besides safc or pfc) is whether you're clocking up k's on the open road, or city driving. my results, ~ 50L / 320kms city driving - 420kms freeway.
  6. i dont think 02 sensor has much to do with anything at 6000rpm. as far as i can tell, o2 sensor only matters at cruise/light throttle.
  7. yeah i caught that too. interesting stuff.
  8. did it respond to vacuum/pressure? obviously the needle is way off. my offer. $1.50 plus postage to Sydney.
  9. yeah, you guys, or the thread post'er at least, need to take it easy. were the dumbasses looking to hit the cat? if so, that's cruel and illegal. today i had to swerve to the wrong side of the road to avoid a stupid dog that ran out from behind a parked car. after my super cool evasive manouvre (i kid u not), this dumb dumb f(_)ck of a dog happily continued on its way, oblivious to the fact it had just escaped death. If i wasnt a nice guy, i would have got out and kicked the crap out of it and it's owners. and if i'd caused or been involved in an accident while avoiding this dog, it would have been my fault, cos the law states that you must not swerve to avoid stray animals. it causes accidents. dumb dog.
  10. gotta love the e-fights
  11. how about this although i dont think $200 will cover it. what is that anyway? blue/black pearl? looks freakin shmick.
  12. first i laughed - at the title - G A M E O V E R (insert Coin) then i cried - when i saw the damage pics - hand me a tissue. now i've come to terms with it - and waiting for the parts available list. safc2???
  13. yeah f(_)ck it, lets start putting car mods on ourselves. I want flared shoulders and hips, to house my arms and legs. also wouldnt mind a 4"cannon out my ass.
  14. mad me laugh too.... coz it's soooo gHey, with a capitol H
  15. i got booked once ages ago, had my 4x4 parked on the grass at the beach. the ticket had all details correct except the time was 90mins ahead. so it was actually 2.30pm when i found the ticket that said i'd been booked at 4.00pm. i was home by 4.00pm !!! but i just paid it and moved on. if it involved loss of points i might've gone into it a bit further.
  16. i'm sure if we look hard enough, there's a conspiracy theory there somewhere
  17. I think what i'll do is take her to a few car yards on the weekend, and drive a couple of overpriced ~93 MX5's. Then if that's what they drive like, and she's happy with it, problem solved. Otherwise we can find another car she likes. You know what (most) girls are like, she saw one on the street, pointed at it, and said 'i want one of those'. lol.
  18. TINTS !!! how dark are they? %?
  19. very nice. how is your boost gauge mounted to the steering column?
  20. they're definately good value for money, but not for track or heavy performance applications. i have them on mine. nylon sidewalls (as opposed to steel belted) means they can shake at high speeds, and crumple under hard braking. i've had no issues with them, they were on the car when i got it, and will remain till they need replacing.
  21. yeah 4k held it, gave it a squirt and backed off. when it was just started, cold, there was grey smoke, but after the car warmed up on the drive, did it again and no smoke. honestly, for 9k, i could think of better cars to spend the money on. that thing felt like a bare bones go kart. There's just not much to them. i asked about accidents, apparently none, but they've only owned it for a year, also sellers arent always the most honest people. i'd be doing a revs check if i was going that far, but that will only tell you if it's been registered as a repairable write off. this happened to me once when i was looking at a Z32. thank you revs
  22. Hey, just got back from checking out that MX5. - no smoke at 4k once the car was warmed up (k emsta?) - roof in good condition, apparently was new just over 1yr ago. - paint (red) seemed ok, but the car was a bit dirty/dusty, so its hard to tell how bright it would be when cleaned. also, from what i could see, it looks like it's had a respray somewhere down the line, you can see the edge of the paint at the top of the doors and around the boot sill. The problem is i've never driven an MX5 before. (not usually the way i do it) Is this all normal behaviour for an mx5? -The ride was pretty rough (17"rims?) -moderate power, as expected -steering seems to pull around the road a bit -and of course, fcken tiny inside, i found it hard to get comfortable. windscreen so close my face. -clutch pedal seemed very high, but then my skyline pedal is very low. owner reckons they had it adjusted that way, why you would i dont know, perhaps a new clutch is not far off? I think what's turning me off is that it's a '93 model car, and you can tell when u drive it. I think i'm gonna get my gf to drive it for herself, and make sure it's what she wants.
  23. well this is mine 5% over registration = speedo 105 and actual 100 = overall diameter 643 Typical Sizes : 265/30ZR19 265/35ZR18 235/40ZR18 235/45ZR17 but the gps was stating 112 at speedo-110, 65 at speedo-60.
