  3. i think SAFC2 has 12 tuneable points, NEO has 16. vtec controller wouldnt benefit rb's would it? also NEO looks prettier.

  5. hmmm, i was actually wondering if an apexi pod would make any difference. yeah, this pod was on the car, and i have no idea what brand, but it sux like a vaccum, so i left it on.

  7. i see your bleed valve doesnt have a hole either. i havent fitted mine, but will when i get a chance. i read that you dont have to block that bottom pipe from the solenoid, but it wont hurt to try it and see. I think you should have the top hose from the solenoid blocked, coz you are bypassing that now. that may be your problem. have a look at this post http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...375&st=800#
  8. i dont have an apexi pod, i've got a 'f(_)cknoes' pod. but doesnt that adapter pipe look way long? looks like the pod is shoved right into the inner guard. i might be wrong, maybe soemone with an apexi can comment. here's a pic of mine, adapter has minimal length.
  9. only aiming for a measly 9psi. i've got the bleed valve adjusted to it's min restriction. doubt i will have time tomoro, but if i do, will let you know.

  11. yeah i've already bought one, just got it, not fitted yet. 5psi then 7psi. but with exhaust and pod, turbo breathes better, and gains ~2psi on stock boost. hence 7 to 9.

  13. yeah i figure the bleed valve will override the issue. but i still wanna know why it's doing that. ecu causing it coz the motor's not primed/warm enough? solenoid stuffed? etc etc.
  14. Hey ppls. R33, exhaust, pod. no other mods. I noticed recently that the my stock boost doesnt seem to jump up a couple of psi after 4500rpm. It used to go from 6-7psi (low) to 8-9psi (after~4.5k). Today and yesterday i noticed it sitting on about 7psi the whole way to 6k. Even though the car is warmed up and has done at least 2-3km by the time i tried this, is the ecu perhaps holding back till the car is alot warmer? could that be it? Also, a while ago i tried the high boost mod, by earthing the solenoid. it freaked out, spiked to 14psi, still dunno why, but i'm sure it was all good after i put it back to standard. Could that be the cause. Will a bleed valve set to desired boost (9psi) resolve this problem? Any thoughts, or insight appreciated.
  15. so has there been any good deals offered up here? or are we just bagging out nankangs, which i have on my car, 18" 235 / 265. they grip fine in the dry. wet not so good, but then what is?
  16. although your rpms will seem high while cruising in 5th at 110kph, at around 3k, it's no prob, and believe it or not, you'll get great fuel economy on the long trips.
  17. Just take it. 3 years and you still dont trust it? lol the weekend after i bought my 33 i took it on a 5 hour round trip.

  24. Links, do you mean leave the hoses connected to the stock solenoid too? I assume they have to be removed/blocked. CEF11E, i'm not marks secretary but i know from his email that his wife just had a baby. That's probably why he's mia.
