  5. Haha thanks mate. Yep, i love mine too! now go leave some feedback for me
  6. It's been a long time, but i've finally solved my power steering issue. The problem became much worse lately. It was happening on a daily basis, on almost every cold start. So i replaced the steering angle sensor behind the steering wheel, with another used one. But it made no difference. I then replaced the hicas ecu in the boot, with a used one from an S2 (mine is s1), and it solved my problem. A major difference between the two hicas ecu's is the S2 ecu has just one circuit board inside, whereas the s1 ecu has two levels of circuit boards. I wasnt confident, but it worked fine. So i guess it's just a revised version of the same thing. Also, the mounting brackets are different, but you can just swap the case over and it will bolt up fine. S1 on the left, S2 on the right
  7. Hey guys. Its an R33 S1 rb25det. Stock ecu, with Unichip piggyback that was on the car when i bought it several years ago. I had it tuned for exhaust/fmic/13psi a couple of years ago. Stock injectors, stock turbo. Car stalls on me whilst driving sedately. I pull over and try to start it. Cranks, but wont start. I can hear my injectors were ticking like crazy with ignition 'reds' on. This isnt right! I unplugged the CAS. Switch ignition on. Injectors still ticking. Try a few other things. Still the same. Eventually I pull the harness from the piggyback. Switch ignition on, injectors not ticking. I crank it, doesnt start. But that's expected. I plug the piggyback in again. Ignition on, injectors not ticking, and car starts and runs fine. So... Is there a relay somewhere along the injector wiring that could be getting stuck open/closed, and by unplugging the piggyback, it allowed it to reset? Could this happen if there's a bad earth somewhere in the wiring. Either ecu or injector loom? Is it more likely that the piggyback is at fault, and i need to tear it out and look at a new ecu setup? Could it be the stock ecu at fault in this case, and worth replacing instead? Hopefully someone has had some experience with this problem before, and can point me in the right direction. Thanks
  8. when you change your plugs, it's a good idea to use a compressor or a vaccum to blow/suck out the dirt in the valley before you pull each plug out, so dirt and crap doesnt fall into the cylinder. anyway, i doubt that would cause ticking, unless it was a big chunky piece of something that fell in.
  9. theres a tutorial somewhere about fixing this problem. commonly, it's a fault with the contacts that give power/signal to the motors, inside the mirror assembly.
  10. phatlavish, where are you mate? your inbox is full. please pm me. i need some parts! cheers

  12. I tried to send a PM to a member, but their inbox is full. so i clicked 'save (send later)' or whatever that option is called. I assume it's supposed to save the message to the drafts folder for later use. but it doesnt seem to save it anywhere.
  13. all series 1 have them too. but i think it was a basic option. ie. you could order the car without one.
  14. noone's signing up to any friend's list. this isnt gaylines australia. just post the damn pics in here. you all make me sick!!!

  16. the idle adjust screw has a small rubber o-ring around the inside. maybe when you put it back together you left the o-ring out? it shouldnt even be removable really, from memory it has a strip in the centre that is threaded thru the middle of the idle screw. but mine had come off when i pulled it apart.

  18. close, but not the same wheel noitce the spokes come into the wheels nuts. on his wheels the spokes go between them. also the groove on the spokes tapers in towards the edge on these, and out towards the edge on his.
  19. i'm pretty sure they share the same rear camber arms, and even rear coilovers are interchangeable between the two........... i thought. maybe i was wrong.
