a little off topic, but i'd like to know - can you put the other type of gas in? i think it's r12a. (or r12? whichever wasn't outlawed) apparently the 32 and 33 aircon works more efficently with that gas compared to the newer type.

thanks for your help over the phone leon. i checked out all the relays and found the problem. it was a previous modification, whereby the aircon relay is connected to the rad fan relay via a one way diode, which switches the thermo fan on everytime aircon is on. THREAD HERE when i put it back to stock, the igniton behaved normally. why is that happening? possibly the diode i used? (1N5404 which is 400V 3A) what's another way to wire up that fan so it comes on with aircon? coz i can certainly notice an improvement in aircon with it wired up. cheers

ok, i've noticed something strange. r33. if i turn my ignition on, but dont start the motor, then turn ignition off, my ignition lights stay lit. after some poking around, i discovered if i disconnect this mod, and replace the relays as per standard, the problem goes away. anyone else have this?

i've got a feeling, with conversation style system, 'sent' no longer matters. all pm's between you and another member become one long thread. so basically you see all replies, sent, recieved in one place. much cleaner. i'd like it to be noted that i am strongly opposed to the java style image viewer you see on hardtuned. pleeeeeeeease dont go down that path. simple thumbnails work great, like we had before.

how do i reprogram the alarm? and the igniton lights stayed on, BEFORE the jump start. Just to clear that up.

mongoose m80 oh and it's probably important to mention. the first time this happened was when my battery went totally flat, and i couldnt crank the car over, i was just getting that click click. i turned the key to off position to go grab jumper leads, and the ignition lights stayed on. had never seen it before then. it has a new battery now, and cranking perfectly.

Hey guys. This only started recently. If i switch ignition on, but dont start the car, and then turn the key to off, even remove it, the igniton lights stay on. I have to then start the car, and then switch it off for it to behave normally. Because i dont usually switch the ignition on without starting the car, i'm not that fussed. but I thought if some knows what it is...possibly a suspect relay or something easy, I could sort it out. i'm glad to report, it's all looking good from here runs nice and smooth/fast. i was a bit worried at first we'd have a nugget, like hardtuned. good work guys now how about an Android app? oh. and please. whatever you do, dont implement the same java image viewer they have on hardtuned. it's horrible.

when i'm on the freeway for long periods, i like to give the throttle a stab here and there, get into positive boost, or back off a bit, etc. just to keep the revs moving around. dunno if it's any better for it, but sitting at a steady 3krpm for long periods just sounds unhealthy to me lol

when i had my car on the dyno last, was a while ago now. the dude richened up the afr's in the high rpms, on the first couple of runs, to make sure it wasnt struggling to supply fuel. i guess that's how they test your pump?
