  1. On the series 1 rb25det. I'm looking for the cold start valve, or whatever its called. The reason is that the first start of the day always falls short of 1krpm, then drops for a couple of seconds till it stalls. The slightest touch on the accelerator brings it to its normal 1200rpm idle. Any other start of the day is fine. Ive cleaned the AAC valve, but it made no difference. My idle was stable anyway. I'm guessing this must be the culprit. So, is this what i'm looking for? The hose you see connected to it from the right comes from the bottom of the AAC valve. It's located under the forward side of the intake manifold. And how the hell do you get the fkr out?
  2. so far so good. of all the guys that have used them, not one hick up. you can tell theyre good quality when you take them out of the box. and they work very well. do a search. there's a thread somewhere on coilpack brands. plenty of good feedback for the yellow jackets. and from memory, they were about $350 delivered for SAU users!!! steer clear of JJR coilpacks. have heard many bad reports on those.
  3. lol yep sold to lankanboiiR34, pending payment / pick up
  4. that thing is your standard boost control solenoid. the bottom hose is where it bleeds off boost. you can get rid of that one. the top hose plumbs back into your intake pipe. thats where the bled pressure would normally go. unplug it from the solenoid, and block the end of it with a bolt, and cable tie it off. put your new boost controller between the blue arrows.
  5. what front bar is that?
  6. Ok, it looks like the R34GT rears have the eye at the base of the shock, and not the fork style shocks of the GTT. So yes, I'm fairly sure they will fit. Can anyone confirm?
  7. I'm not sure. I'll try get a definite answer for you.
  8. will swap for a head unit and/or 3 way 6x9's.
  9. PM performance-wise about a set of yellow jacket coil packs. I'm using them. many guys on here are. great price and i got mine the next day, express post.
  10. oh, i'm keeping the butt offers on suspension?
  11. WELL!! What's the outcome!? This is like those episodes, where it gets to a good bit, and then they say 'to be continued'.
  12. I'm interested to see what C&V do with it. He tunes my car. Ive heard some bad feedback on him, but as far as i can tell, he's very good at what he does. No messing around. No chit chat. In and out. And despite popular belief, he has plenty of experience on Skylines/imports. Just make sure you let him know you dont want it tuned to within one inch of its life, coz he'll do it. lol They do a lot of drag cars, and like to get every last drop out of them on the dyno. If you gave him free reign, i have no doubt you would find a nitrous bottle in your boot
  13. I knew you couldnt sit idly by. I should have put all my money on it anyways. does this look about right for 4mm preload? ignore the precision measuring tape. the angle is all out of whack in the photo.
  14. nevermind, i worked it out.
  15. sounds like a plan. how did you work out 4mm? from what i can tell its a 14psi actuator. explain the 4mm preload (shorten the rod?) process please. step by step. assume i know nothing about adjusting actuators
  16. well thats good news, because i'm planning on using the garrett adjustable actuator with a turbotech ball and spring type mbc for around 17-18psi. theres only one problem. how the hell do you dial in the actuator and mbc on the dyno lol. thats gonna take longer than the tuning.
  17. NSW greenslip comparison http://prices.maa.nsw.gov.au/index.html
  18. boss kit to suit what car?
  19. is it not true that an actuator set close to your target boost plus a (good) boost controller set to your target boost will give you more aggressive spool up, than an adjustable actuator alone?
  20. i wanna know what it says down the left hand side
  21. For tree sap, i can tell you that hot soapy water works. I got it off my paint easily. Use almost-boiling hot water, and have the car sitting in the sun for a while before pouring it over the affected areas. Then wipe it off with a soft cloth. You wont believe how easily it comes off. I tried metho and a host of other scary things. They didnt work.
  22. oh i need to update my previous post. i put some tein super streets in, that shut her the fk up! lol now she doesnt complain at all, as long as i behave myself while she's in it. easy fix
