  1. well thats good news, re: power steering. so i assume, lock bar in, hicas computer remains under parcel shelf, remove light from dash, all good. yes? let us know how you go at the track
  2. i've read conflicting reports on r33 lockbar installs. what i want to know is.... does it affect the progressive power steering? i.e. does your steering still remain lighter at low speeds, firmer at higher speeds? or is that lost, and you get heavier steering all time when you fit a lockbar edit: is the steering position sensor used for anything besides hicas? does it need to work?
  3. Liz is an asshead....

    oh hai Liz :)

  4. fark, i feel like a horrible person. took me months to reply, and its probably far too late now no need to remove anything external. just clear the way so you can see the firerwall clearly up and to the right of the accellerator. it was right up there. my neck got sore trying to see it. in my case it was a large grommit that i think feeds the bonnet release cable into the car.
  5. ^ lol. suck up i get the usual. too loud, too bumpy, too violent. but if i dare give it a hit when she's in the car, firstly she reaches for the roof lining/sun visor area (neither of us can work out why), and then she gets all serious and tells me off. but when we're in her dumb lancer, and i tease her about 'getting there today!' she guns it. granted, we probably only get to 5 over the limit, lol. but still, no fair
  6. ive tried getting into hicas diag mode. no luck. can someone spell out the procedure for me? this is what i tried. start engine turn wheel left then right 20deg 5 times (i tried 6 times too) press brake pedal 5 times (tried 6 times too) then i read somewhere, a faulty steering posiition sensor will prevent entering diag mode if i have the procedure correct, i need some info on the steering position sensor. ie. how to get to it, and remove/replace, or test. if i have the procedure wrong, slap me, and show me the way cheers
  7. let me know when you get an S1 3-spoke in this condition
  8. hey damo. i sent u a pm a couple of weeks ago about sending my hoodies as they are. cbf waiting for printing, and possibly more dramas. just send both. cheers man edit: d'oh
  9. mitsubishi are really good too reliable, freezing cold, usually a bit cheaper than the fujitsu etc. theyre well made units. forget the chinese ones. they dont even conform to their own specs. a 2hp for a single room would do the trick i have a 3.5 hp in the loungeroom and it reaches most of the house.
  10. oh nice it HAD to be a Skyline, didnt it!? driven by a girl!! racing a commodore!!! this is getting embarrassing
  11. i got pulled over zero times. and out of those zero times, zero of them involved undue harrassment.
  12. i think you're all missing the point. he spoke to them, explained he needed the parts by whenever, and was assured that he'd receive them on time. so sliding performance closed the deal on a sale, and then disregards the rest. yes?
  13. The hicas light stays on occasionally, after i start the car. If I turn the car off and on again, it goes away. It's happened maybe 6 times now, in the last 3 weeks. It never comes on after start up, while driving. When its on, theres no issue with steering etc. Car drives normally. So i'm guessing some sort of wiring fault with the light, or a switch? Any tips or known issues to look for here? The power steering fluid was on the low mark when i checked, so i topped it up, but that wasnt it. My hicas is intact, and i have no issue with it. So the lock bar suggestion isnt what i'm looking for. cheers
  14. his name is Max i may as well just own up now, coz marc (mad082) will dob me in anyway. his full name is Maxibon. named after the ice cream of course, we just call him Max

  19. driving an Alfa + being in Leichhardt, should be a defect anyway
  20. theyre on every second skyline. it's almost as if they were a nissan factory option if anyone knows anything about wheels. when they see these, they know theyre cheap and nasty, and it degrades your car a bit. most school girls however, will like them not to say no one should ever use them, especially if they were on your car, given to you, or you got them for amazingly cheap. but if you're about to pay for new wheels, add a bit extra $$ and buy some better ones. second hand, quality wheels are the way to go.
  21. yeah well, you shouldnt have left us in here unsupervised. YOU'RE !!!!! exactly. so sit quietly while I express myself there was no aggro involved. weevil knows that, I know that, but for some reason, I need to explain this to you, why?
  22. hahaha, dont get too worked up princess. its not a go at you. its a go at that old and tired 'speeding' bullshit, from a bunch of hypocrites. its obvious speeding is unsafe. you shouldnt do it. and if you do, you're taking your life, and perhaps other's, into your own hands. it can have devistating affects. thats not the point though. btw, thanks for the seemingly civil PM, followed by name calling in your post. that's classy and its - YOU'RE a joke Munkyb0y
  23. you know what is far worse? people who condemn the speeding, after the accident, because they never speed. not once has there been a bit of stick given on the streets by these saints. even at 24yo, with their newly built car. cmon !!! get real !!! i'm so sick of hearing it. of course, i dont condone speeding on the street. but simply put, be realistic ... @^#%#*!!!! do you think you're scoring brownie points? next time the cops pull you over, are they gonna say, hmm its weevil, left him off with a hand job ?!!!!
  24. that would mean posting twice = added hassle. so i'll wait for both. just hoping that doesnt take forever.
  25. HEY !!! what the hell is going on with these things? Have you fallen asleep? Is there a coma I'm unaware of? With all the patience and compassion everyone has displayed throughout this ridiculous ordeal, you'd think there'd be some solid effort put in to get this sorted. I think someone along the way joked about getting them by xmas. Well would you look at that?
