  1. why do you drive around with your foggies on? is that the new neon?
  2. i havent looked for any written rule, or even read the rules lol. but here's my understanding. any intake mod messes with the factory emissions setup. so deviation from this could possibly deem the vehicle emissions unfriendly. on another note. when driving the gf's lancer, i have, on occasion, gunned it in view of police officers. they dont even bat an eyelid. same with the rav4. probably more so. but i'm not stupid enough to do that in the skyline. you gotta drive accordingly.
  3. yes it's very worth it. more response, more midrange, more power throughout. get a 3 inch dump/front pipe, and a highflowing cat. preferably a metallic cat. i'm guessing you already have an aftermarket ecu or piggyback that you'll be getting tuned?
  4. i'm all for this idea. good workshops get a better wrap, and dodgy ones get avoided. the only problem i see is when a customer, who may be clueless, or expects far and beyond what is reasonable, may slander a workshop without due cause. (eg, their mates car made blah blah power with simlar mods, on the battle star galactica dyno. what about me?). their stories are often glorified in the heat of anger, and its hard to monitor this type of thing.
  5. take a breath marc. its gonna be ok. also, i agree with tony too
  6. misinformation is the one that gets to me. you get people answering questions, in great depth, with incorrect information they got from fark knows where, and unfortunately, the person who asked the question has no idea they are being fed a load of bs. then a few more readers, with little to no idea, read the misinfo, and pass it on again at another stage. my suggestion is, if you see this going on, BITCHSLAP THE OFFENDER, preferably in caps, and then rectify the problem by giving the correct info. as far as search goes, i think you'll find that a high percentage of readers know the answer to your question because it has been answered so many times before. and they are all thinking the same thing. SEARCH! in this case, i usually give a short answer, and/or a link to one of the many threads where this has been covered. as does NISMOID the search nazi . its the right thing to do
  7. huh? what now? we're not changing the design again! stick to the original design. the one we all paid for. before xmas would be nice. ive seen fails, and ive seen epic fails, but soon this is gonna need its own whole new level of fail.
  8. ^^ not sure what you're talking about. if he has a pod in place, the air wont be unfiltered. but yes. you will benefit from a cold air feed. and you certainly dont have to mess with the compressor side of things. have a look through the tutorials section. theres a few threads in there about cold air intakes / boxes here's one of them http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Cai-Box-t208789.html
  9. nice. where are you getting it from? is it trust? or just has the trust emblem?
  10. that's probably some stale ass petrol
  11. PreludeAustralia ripped us a new one. They were inspired by the SAU hoodie idea (amongst others). Well theirs is looking about 87.2 times better than our sad effort http://www.preludeaustralia.com/forum/showthread.php?t=40150 So what is happening with ours? edit: hahaha Damo beat me to the bump by 2 mins!!
  12. it wont be coil packs. you will feel them break down and you'll lose at least one cylinder. it wont limit revs as such, but will struggle to climb. AFM could definately cause this. but then you would usually see some issue at idle, and cruising off boost too. although AFM symptoms can be pretty random. Could be CAS. ie timing issues. edit: Send me a PM if you want. I'm near Hurstville. If nothing else, I can spot if its a coil pack issue.
  13. will the $SAU appreciate in value? ie. $5-SAU earnt in 2008 might be worth $7-SAU in 2010. if so, can we buy shares? good idea btw. bartering works well. and i'm sure members barter all the time, with parts etc. but this provides a credit system, whereby you can accumulate SAU wealth. (may or may not lead to corruption)
  14. pics of steering wheels?
  15. oh lawd. this thread is ridiculous. it has served 2 purposes for me. 1. dan made me laugh, hysterically. 2. cops are less than claimed 'tops'.
  16. hahah, well so be it. but why create your own self inflicted traffic jam every morning?
  17. yeah glazing. thats what ive been told too. i just start it, wait 30 secs, and drive off nice and easy till the oil pressure settles. then i absolutely smash it !!! sometimes.
  18. actually i'm pretty sure all coupes (S1 and S2) have the black lights (squarer shape on S2 of course), and 4 doors have the chromes. so as stated, these would be S1 4 door lights.
  19. brasso works too. ive used it on mine. it got rid of the yellowish hepatitis tint on the headlight you hardly have to rub. just apply a small amount on a rag, rub over a small area, give it a minute to dry, and then wipe it off with a clean rag. i cant compare it to plasticx etc. but it works pretty well for surface issues.
  20. yeah SAU is a good one. Sometimes, i hug it when no one is watching
  21. hahahaha. ahhhhh. nice spotted a silver S2 33 in glebe this morning. and a gunmetal S1 33 just around the corner. fkn skyline drivers, think theyre too good to say hi, *mutters under breath* @#%&!
