  1. an advantage over no sticker / no visible affiliation? or an advantage over an NS sticker i still have the feeling that a member of a car club would be viewed as more likely to be involved in modifications, and therefore worth 'checking out'
  2. so whats the consensus? SAU sticker gets you good (less) attention, or bad (more) attention? coz i've avoided the sticker thus far, for fear of standing out more.
  3. i gotta agree with the bandwagon comment. seems theres alot of 'follow the leader' going on around here not necessarily about tuners, but generally across the forum. when a few of the good ole boys agree on something, its taken as gospel, and any challenge, or deviation is met with hostility and ridicule. ive seen it a million times. this cant be good for the forum, and the pool of knowledge around here is eventually going to be a dribbling inbred mess.
  4. its just some bent and cut sheet metal. make your own i'll even go as far as to say the pictured one doesnt look like it'd be that effective, as its not insulated, and quite thin, therefore radiant heat will begin to soak that whole box after a while have a search, theres quite a few threads, including DIY's about airboxes
  5. Happy McBirthday Danly i hope your day is filled with slow men, ghey cars, and cow patties ...and boobs, lots of man boobs
  6. thats a good point ppl assume that a quick tune is half assed, or incomplete but its not always the case. if the tuner knows what to expect, and already knows how he wants it to look when he's done, then he knows his shit and can be quick. would you rather your tuner takes hours to tune your car, with a dumbfounded look on his face?
  7. it wouldnt surpirse me. lol
  8. CV Performance at Taren point. They have alot of high hp cars and record 1/4 mile times coming out of there. He doesnt mess around. He's straight to the point, he's quick, and he knows what he's doing. And they dont charge crazy high prices. Worth a mention.
  9. get a wheel balance done
  10. i've got less of an answer, and an even less related question how much do you want for the R34 wheel once you replace it? coz i heard it will fit an R33
  11. nice painting skills. but i think it looks a bit weird the way the black comes so close to the front wheel, and cuts in at the headlight half way. would have looked better on a slant, with the whole front in black, including black front bar. sort of like this
  12. take a pic of it with your mobile and post it. btw, nice review. now everyone wants one !!!! me included
  13. why doesnt someone just give you the internet on a series of floppy disks?
  14. PAHLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZ dont rice up the GTR. It's a sin i tells ya. go with something subtle and menacing, not yelling through the street with your pants down
  15. this jap commercial pronounces it stay-gee-ah aswell, allbeit a bit quickly lol its right at the end
  16. cool. thats how ive been saying it too
  17. how do you pronounce it? stage-ee-ah ? stage-ah? i'm serious. ive never heard it said
  18. so what does the D stand for? Drift or Damper? also, chuck up some pics so we can see general condition cheers mate
  19. i think its some kind of diagnostics port used by dealerships/service centres etc
  20. did i miss something? was there a price or method of purchase mentioned?
  21. R33 gtst ecu - unichip with boost control module. this module controls boost via the standard solenoid, through the ecu. i dont know any more specifics than that recently my boost dropped from 12+psi which was set on the dyno during a tune, to what seems to be stock boost. basically i drove home from the tune, saw 12+psi once on that trip, and parked the car. 2 days later, stock boost level. its now running about 9psi, which i'd consider stock for 3 inch exhaust, fmic, and pod. just for the record, ive had this ecu and boost controller previously tuned (same tuner) and working flawlessly for ages before this. i instantly thought one of the hoses to and from the solenoid and actuator might be stuffed. checked all those, they are fine. no blockages or leaks. (even though a leak or blockage in most cases would cause higher boost) then i thought it might be the solenoid itself. i could only find a VL solenoid, so i tried that, but no change, then i tried it back to front , coz they are slightly different than the r33 type, and i wasnt sure of orientation. it then boosted to 15psi. so i figured they are spec'd differently, and a factory R33 solenoid would fix my issue for sure. well i got a used one, and no change. still running stock boost. ive checked voltage at the solenoid plug, it shows 12.?v at idle. the car drives fine, pulls hard, but only to 9psi, so its not likely theres leaks in the cooler piping etc. ive looked anyway. even blocked the bov just to make sure it wasnt leaking from there. plus the 15psi kind of discounts these. the car will be going back on the dyno shortly to see if its the actual boost controller/settings. the guys have been moving to a new workshop, hence the delay. so, besides boost controller, has anyone got any thoughts on what might cause this?
  22. interesting i'd like to know how low the tein ss wind down on a 33 i have been thinking about getting some lately. i figured they were very height adjustable. ie. would go lower than you needed.
  23. hahaha i know. i was just reiterating, and making my view known
  24. bahhhh, stop your bitching !!! theres been some form of advertising for quite some time now. and if this keeps the forum alive, bring it on imagine if there were no adverts, and then shortly followed by no threads, no forum
