  1. yeah, what ecu ? i got mine tuned at CV as well. they're pretty good. how's your power curve? is the midrange all nice and solid?
  2. +1 for RAZO a cold knob isnt a problem. its the summertime burning mutherf**ker cant change gears knob thats a problem.
  3. exactly what benl1981 said, except for one thing. there's no KW gain over the 34smic unless ur stock turbo is nearing 220rwkw. wank factor plays a major role in the amount of front mounts you see around.
  4. is the car at C&V performance? if its the one i saw there, it looks awesome. i think i wore ur paint out from staring at it so long. lol.
  5. is that kogarah sydney? if so, go out to caringbah and talk to C&V Performance ( http://www.cvperformance.com.au ) I found them to be pretty good. They did a tune on my 33 (unichip), 3 inch exhaust, 10psi = 182kw (on a hot humid day lol) these guys seem to know their stuff, they work on alot of skylines, and they're well priced.
  6. anyone care to shed some light? what happened? what fighting? its really none of my business.....i'm just nosey
  7. paid cash.........always cash
  8. TRANSFORMERS, more than meets the eye
  9. it mainly depends on how u drive re: shocking economy i've had as low as 250 on a tank usual city driving, i see 320ish before it gets too close to E highway, over 400+ but at the end of the day, i'd rather drive the car the way i want, and spend a few more $$ on fuel. who gives a shit, u dont buy a skyline for economy, or if u do, u wont enjoy it.
  10. the one i love the most is when ur doing 60/70kph on a straight stretch and some retard pulls out from a side street doing 0.5kph. thats the best one time at leichardt (retard central) i pulled up to reverse into a parking space, (blinker on, slowed down to signal my intent as i approached the space), and the ever so thoughtful bus driver pulls up about 3 inches from my bumper. traffic backed up behind him. needless to say, i thanked him ALOT. sydney bus driver rock almost as good as the cabbies
  11. if u really wanna run an atmo bov, use a hybrid style bov that both plumbs back AND vents to atmo. will solve ur probs. i have one, but i've plumbed it back coz psshhhhht got on my nerves.
  12. this sounds strange, coz the r33 actuator sits at 5psi (i think) + maybe 2psi from exhaust r32 actuator sits at about 10psi + 2psi, yeah? so if you are running 14psi with both these actuators, then something else must be controlling your boost.
  13. BLACK R33 FTW oh hold on....what do i drive? yeah...a black 33 someone kill this topic and put it out of it's misery
  14. super delayed update...... the reason mine spiked like crazy was because i had a unichip boost module hooked up thru the ecu using the stock solenoid. i wasnt aware of it at the time. so ingore my dramatic warning above.
  15. lol yeah you were right, in a 'vague, covered all the bases' kind of way. next time show me a diagram, with pics, and step by step instructions. sweeeeeet. :laughing-smiley-014: no cash for you
  16. that first pic is mine. i had the stock solenoid set up before going with the turbotech bc. whatever i've written there (minus the notes on the white background) is exactly how it goes from stock to bleed valve. (and vice versa)
  17. ok, i found the leak. it turned out to be a large gromit that feeds a bunch of wiring into the cabin. the water that collects inside the vents under the wipers, overuns onto the firewall (engine bay side) and was geting in thru this gromit that had popped out of its place. you cant quite see it in the pic, but it's where the arrow is pointing. in my case i had my boost line running thru here, so i cut a hole into the grommit and ran the line thru, and used sikaflex to seal around the line. will test it again tomoro when its all dry and set.
  18. i can tell this isnt going to be fun. i'm hoping its something silly like a missing gromit on the floor. but it's never that easy. how do u get the grill under the wipers off?
  19. i'm pretty sure that would be passenger side.
  20. the outside hey? i'm thinking it might be getting in from underneath. i'll have the car on a hoist this week, so i'll have a good look. i looked for water marks on the inside of the firewall, behind the pedals etc, but found none. in fact, theres dust on there.
  21. I noticed a weird smell in the car, so i started sniffing around. Lifted the drivers side floor mat, and found the carpet under it is damp. No other area of the carpet seems wet. just a patch about 30cm x 30cm, where your left heel would rest. I cant see where the water got in. The car was sitting out overnight in heavy rain 2 days ago. Its just water as far as i can tell, not coolant or anything else. Any ideas? Anyone had this issue? Its an s1 R33.
