i'm pretty sure we've done this before, but i reckon we need some examples of the 5%, 15%, 20%, 25%. so if you've got them, show us your tints !!!

is the vacuum gauge purely vacuum, not boost?

no, i havent swapped the gauges over. i guess i should try that. the reason i havent is that the drivers side gauge is a bitch to remove, and the hoses in the engine bay arent long enough to swap over. i might extend the hoses and try that next.

i put a new silicon hose on from the plenum to the bov, with a new T-piece just before the bov, running to gauge B. all very secure, i cant imagine there's any leaks in the line. gauge B is still reading 1 psi lower. tonight is a cold night, so i got 10psi on A, and 9psi on B. the bov itself is bolted up well. what bothers me is that there might be a pressure leak somewhere, hence the readings. will adjusting the spring on the bov, to a harder setting, make a difference? any others ideas of what to try, or where to look?

get some plumber's thread tape. you know, the soft one. try wrapping that around your gearstick thread till it beefs up enough fo the 12mm to grab.

ok, but i dont want to change all my suspension. only the front 2 shocks. as i said, the car handles very well, sticks to the road nicely. anyways, let's assume i'm not getting the bilsteins, can anyone else recommend some decent shocks?

has anyone been defected for illegal tint? is it common? do cops look for that type of thing? i personally dont know of anyone who has.

damn you you're supposed to say "$5 worth of *magic spray* will fix that" what shocks are decent for lowered springs? how low? front is 320mm from the centre of the wheel to the guard. rear is about 330mm, but they seem ok. what's the standard ride hight for R33? do you buy shocks suited to the height of the spring? i've seen SK's bilstein group buy, but i just need decent road shocks, cheap-ish.

From what i can tell, i've got lowered springs(green) on what look to be the black stock shocks. it's a fairly hard ride. when going over bumps on the road, the front shocks make a 'pfffft pfffft' noise. kinda like a wet fart ??? although handling feels pretty good, i'm guessing this means the shocks dying? what's the cause of this noise?

pleeeeeeez, give me a break. R33gtst owns the R32gtst out of the box every single time. 32gtr however is an entirely different story.

i lived on the gold coast for a few years (burleigh heads and surfers) and i wouldnt even leave my shoes on the balcony. not that sydney's any better, but you know what i mean. anyhow, it's always a carnt of a thing, and glad you got it back.
