  1. i was under the impression that the o2 sensor only acts while the car is at very light throttle. ie cruising. under anything more than that, it's not used by the ecu to determine anything. i've been told this by several tuners/mechanics. surely they cant all have it wrong. edit: dont get me wrong, i'm all for having a functioning 02 sensor, but i dont know if this is the magic answer to the economy question. it wasnt for me.
  2. i'm guessing you do alot of highway kms? coz that's where the 02 sensor would play a role. but like i said, before, test it before you change it imo.
  3. i dont know why everyone carries on about 02 sensors so much. they dont really help economy, unless you're cruising / very light throttle. i changed mine and it made no difference at all. i'd be testing it before changing it for nothing. do a search, theres a simple way to test it with a multimeter i think. never heard of a fuel filter causing bad economy before. maybe a dirty/blocked filter would cause inconsistent fuel flow or something. but if your engine is running smoothly, how would it affect economy ?
  4. what about a resonator to reduce the droning that's developed since i put the highflow cat on? any opinions? is it worth doing? i dont expect it will add restriction to the system, will it?
  5. woah, the snorkel already sold. geeeeeeeeeez
  6. where are you located?
  7. farken assholes, unbelievable.
  8. i gotta do this. mine rattles when it's partly open, over bumps etc.
  9. wouldnt be r&r at 8-9psi, would it?
  10. it's called desalination. they can do it. it's been done in other countries. i think there's trials in perth actually. i'm all for it. my mate has a rainwater catchment tank under his property, so we can legally use his hose to wash our cars.
  11. i saw some new software they were using in syd on the news. had a laptop with a cam, and they were cross referencing cars that drove through. like an identification system or something. maybe the pics are for that type of database.
  12. fitted the xforce 3" highflow cat the other day (onto full 3" exhaust). very happy with it. seems to have gained ~1psi extra boost, so i have to figure it has improved flow somewhat. the exhaust note got a bit deeper, but not really louder, although slightly droney now at certain rpms. i'm considering a resonator somewhere after the cat, to quieten it down a bit, get rid of the drone. this wouldnt affect flow, would it?
  13. so which ones are you guys going with? if it's this one, i want one too. someone please pm me when it's time. thanks
  14. does anyone want this?
  15. hey i did a write up a while ago on this very thing. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...p;#entry2252540
  16. not even a thank you ??? shell, suspend his account......now!
  17. it's knob jockey...coz they're riding knobs, as in peeeeenis, as in homos and yes they are knob jockeys
  18. what did u get done? just a re-gas (with dye)? or filter etc aswell?
  19. so if my aircon is fairly cool, but not freeezing cold, will a re-gas correct this? and what's the deal with the filter? i'm not familiar it.
  20. regas alone is about $80. not sure on filter, but cant see it coming to $250
  21. that's what i reckon. going from a stock compliance cat (hope it's not gutted when i take it out) to a 3" highflow has to see some decent improvements.
  22. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...st&id=58473 that's the ecu temp sensor.
