lol, now he tells me from what i understand, the stock cat flows 250ish. the xforce is over twice that. has to be an improvement. with moderate boost and stock turbo, i reckon it will do the job.

does the 3 inch cat make the exhaust louder compared to the stock one?

if it's in the boot (i think all R33's are), get a sealed battery. no fumes, no fluids. otherwise it's defectable, and could theoretically explode. here's a pic of mine.

if you're talking 320kms on 45 litres, then that's 14L/100kms. that's not too bad in city driving, boosting occasionally. if you live out in the sticks, then alot of freeway should see that figure go up quite a bit, maybe 11L/100kms. Lots of short drives also consumes more fuel as the car isnt up to optimum operating temps. Also, driving style makes a big difference. I wouldnt say this is terrible economy.

i'm having a flashback. this exact question a few weeks ago. lol. your timing belt may have been tensioned too tight. mine was and i got a deep humming 'woooh woooh woooh'. get it checked and re-tensioned. you dont wanna wear the gear bearings, or even worse, snap the belt.

i just pull up in my driveway, leave the car running while i get out and open the garage door, pull in and switch the car off. that's about 30 seconds worth of idle. otherwise i set it to 30 secs. if i have been sitting in traffic, or driving very conservatively, i dont bother with the timer at all. usually 30 seconds will do it. 3 mins is excessive.

I have a '91 Barina for sale. It's my girlfriends car. It's a piece of crap, and i hate it 5 speed White 17 Dec rego. (not 3 months as first stated) It's not in good condition. One of the plugs keeps getting fouled, so it basically runs on 3 cylinders most of the time. Surprisingly it does well on 3. I suspect the rings on that piston might be stuffed, or something similar, letting oil into the chamber. That's just my guess though. Goes through a fair bit of oil, and blows smoke (understandably). Interior in very average condition, and needs a really good clean. Body isnt too bad, dented rear quarter, and basically filthy. Front tyres are not legal. Also there's quite a bit of vibration at speed, probably due to the crappy tyres. Clarion cd player. 6x9's in the back. I wouldnt buy this car after reading this either, but if you want it, PM me. i'm not sure why, but the wider you go the lower the profile. that's how it usually works. i have 265/35/18's on the rear, they are impossible to find in 40 series. but my front 235/40/18 are easy to get. maybe someone can shed some more light.
