  1. homer "jimmy was watching a bull ant crawl across the table, and i was watching jimmy watch the bullant"
  2. yes i'm also confused. here's a quote: ay manny, choot that piece of chit !
  3. Hey dezz, did you sort out that issue? Very curious to see what's causing it. I just installed mine tonight, on lowest possible setting for testing. It ran 7psi and slowly creeped up to 8psi by about 5000rpm. Although i dont think it was due to the factory dual stage. I'm thinking maybe the turbotech wasnt meant to hold such low boost. When i get a chance tomorrow, i'll set it to 10psi and see how it holds.
  4. lol, calm down beer baron. yes it's agreed, L/100kms is a more useful measurement. i'm curious as to why so many members on the numerous 'fuel' threads quote as low 11L/100kms. Maybe wishful thinking, or maybe mostly highway k's? Anyway, yeah i'm not concerned about my skyline burning fuel, only concerned if it's burning alot more than it should be. You know what i mean?
  5. nismoid, i've always hated your avatar, it makes me gag. change it, or i'll have to ban you
  6. yeah, i'm gonna try and get out there this week sometime. Matt seemed very helpful. He suggested getting out there so he could suss it out, diagnostics, etc. I will most likely be installing your safc Jerry. thanks mate. edit: 480kms from 65L (13.5L/100kms) isnt that great either though, is it? When ppl say eg. 450kms per tank, they arent running their tank dry (65L worth), are they? From what i've seen, claims of about 11L/100kms are common. SECUR1TY, how many litres are you getting per 100kms, or how many kms per 50Litres?
  7. man, she's winning by heaps now.
  8. I just spoke to matt (hitman), and he reckons that i should only expect very slight improvement in economy from a safc/tune. confusing
  9. if it is that, and the timing belt is too tight, it'll be putting undue strain on your pulleys/bearings. you dont want that. get it re-tensioned (if that's the problem).
  10. i had a similar sound. turned out to be the new timing belt was too tight. when it revs up a bit, the belt changes shape and stops moaning, then returns on low rpm. have you replaced yours recently?
  11. is this the t piece that you use to tap into the vacuum line in the engine bay? as far as i know, that line doesnt need to be restricted, u just want to carry the pressure to the gauge. if you just use a t piece thats suitable to the diam of the hose, there shouldnt be any issues. inaccuracies might be due to it being an AutoGauge.
  12. there's a flat coiled side of the spring, and a cut uneven side. i assume the flat side sits against the ball bearing. Is that what you found?
  13. PM'd JeeTeeEss25Tee. thanks moonus.
  14. I might just hunt down a used safc1. I doubt i'd see benefits from an safc2. Good to hear the turbotech does its job. I've got one, but waiting to fit it with safc/tune. Joe, what's your intake setup? pod, panel, cai? You've got very decent intake temps.
  15. there's no law about immobilizers. it's between you and your insurer, and most will insist on one, but if they agreed to cover you without it, then no probs.
  16. have you got one showing your afr's ? that's some pretty steady boost there. which boost controller are you using?
  17. proof!!! that's what i wanted to hear in my situation, mild mods, prob~10psi, has safc2 got many andvantages over safc (blue screen) ?
  18. looks good dude
  19. I've read mixed reports about safc improving fuel economy. Many say it does, but others say it wont. I'm not after big power, just keeping things moderate, but as a daily driver, i need the economy to improve. I suspect it's running rich with 3inch exhaust and pod. 15L/100kms. What's your take on this ? Safc will bring me joy, or dissapointment?
  20. good result. looks awesome.
  21. lol, chuck them up? why cant we just post them? here's a couple i took at taronga zoo that chimp has got it sorted. through glass, otherwise i'd be way too close
  22. you could always sit there all night, clearing your cache/cookies, and vote over and over.
  23. my front bar is a nismo. was probbaly on the car from japan. i know the banana bar you're talking about, looks great IMO. the 18" rims make it look lower than it is. although it is lower than standard.
  24. yeah, as much as i like to see the hotties, and the frenzies they create, i have to agree that it's inapropriate for the reasons mentioned above. alot of corporate IT systems will not distinguish between you viewing pics on SAU, or you viewing the site from which they are hotlinked, which may well be a xxx site, with a very obvious name. I work for myself, and so dont have this problem, but i sympathize with those that do.
