  2. if you want it to last dont sacrifice a nice safe street tune for the bragging rights of an extra ten kilowatts or so those mods will make very nice power for a street car look in the rb25 turbo upgrade thread and you will find someone who has close to those mods and see how much there making as a rough guide but every car is different.
  3. seconding MANWHORE please only use contact cleaner on your afm dont use carby cleaner its to harsh.
  4. ive had the gasket between the top and bottom halfs of the plenum leak before only on vacuum didnt create a boost leak so just run a spanner over all the intake bolts make sure there tight
  5. i have one of those same sided in and out coolers was bought off another member who got it off ebay seems to work fine for me so far, my 25 is in an s13 so im not sure about fitment on a 33 as far as supporting power i currently have 260RWHP with no issues. cooler is 300 x 300 x76 3 inch in and out, cant really help you much with difference from stock cooler and lag slightly different car but still runs the stock turbo and boosts hard and fine. in my opinion i like the factory looking black pipes down the one side to but thats personal preference
  6. something simple you may allready know but there is two temp sensors on the engine one for the cluster and one for the ecu the one with the single spade/wire on it is for the cluster and the two pin one is for the ecu. is the sensor you replaced the two pin one or the single pin one?

  10. i think the 300 mark may be a little extreme for now any way, no reason i cant bolt on a bigger turbo down the track if i get bored and want more. the engine is being built with more power in mind for later i think 250kw will scare me enough at the moment
  11. cool thanks nismoid i sort of figured that may be the case but for arguements sake lets say i was to throw on something in the gt35/40 range if i have a change of heart and go stupid would you say there would be an advantage in letting it spin to 8ish
  12. was aiming at 8500 so i have alttile lee way so limiter about 8000ish will be stock crank and rods preped accordingly with forgies bottom end all balanced lightened flywheel and harmonic blancer, port and polish head, set of valve springs, set of hks 264 with 8.5mm lift intake and exhaust cams that will go in as well, add in microtech to control it all turbo i am still undecided on it will be street driven looking for 250rwkw want power and boost to come on hard and early and hold as best as possible right through to redline (where ever it set to to?)
  13. im about to start sourcing parts to begin my build on my old 25 sitting under the house and would like to know from people who have done it, how they get there 25 to rev higher i would like to take it out to about 8500RPM if possible. motor will be forged bottom end all balanced obviuosly was thinking lightened flywheel and harmonic blancer, port and polish head, set of valve springs and i have a set of hks 264 with 8.5mm lift intake and exhaust cams that will go in as well. any other suggestions to get it to rev happily and safely. thanks

  18. still looking for one
  19. id be having a good look inside the cylinder wind the engine over with out the plug in and get the piston towards the top of the bore and if you have a magnet that will fit down there and go fishing for a little bit just to be safe (be care full not to drop anything else in there while your looking), if it has melted away which by the looks of it has so its probably worked its way through the system and you got lucky if there are no other problems at the moment, you may want to find out why though, it may have been a defective plug but the best idea is to wack it on a dyno and check the air fuel ratios and if possible knock levels to make sure everything is ok.
  20. now its time for the fun part were did that little piece go i would be having a good look for it internally that little piece can cause some seriuos damage if it hasnt allready.
