It really depends on the mods you are doing and your future plans for the car. Of course any tuner is going to tell you to use the best ecu they tune and the one that is easiest and most profitable for them to tune too. It doesnt mean that you need it, or you have to listen to them! Do the research yourself, and determine what you feel is nessesary. They should be able to tune even an old school dial SAFC to give you better AFRs.

Just went through a few companies for quotes. Famous was the cheapest by about $350 (plus much cheaper excess!) than anyone else so far. Good to know they are are OK with mods too.

I am interested in the engine pipe and cat for the exhaust (got a cat back already). Will it fit a R34? How much shipped to Sydney for the front pipe and cat?

yeah but PFC is $1500 plus tuning of another $600 (yeah plug and play my ass!). I am heading towards a SAFCII as it is: Cheap Anyone can tune it I cant afford a PFC I can resell it with no drama It has a knock sensor built in Anyone had any dramas with a SAFC on a RB25DET Neo engine?

Hi, I have a stock standard R34 GTT with 165kwatw (dynoed!). I have myself a nice Apexi hybrid intercooler, adjustable exhaust cam wheel, HKS EVC boost controler, full 100k belt kit and water pump to go in (may as well get it all done at once!). I am getting a full turbo back exhaust and in box filter in the next few weeks too. I am after around 200 - 210kw at the wheels for now before any major future mods like a turbo change etc. And I want to keep fuel economy OK too. My question is which piggy back computer is recommended on a GTT to manage the mods mentioned? Emanage sounds difficult to setup on a R34 neo. A $1500 PFC is a bit out of my budget at the moment, unless you can convince me otherwise that with the mods above its worth it over say a Apexi SAFC Neo? Also will I need a adjustable FPR with this setup?

Yep way better to keep your car in the open rather than hiding it. The more people that can see it on a regular basis when in a carpark the better. If its over in a hidden corner no one can see someone trying to get in.

I have to get a few ridges added to some intercooler piping urgently. Can anyone help weld a few spots onto the ends of the pipes (6 in total)? Just dont want the joiners sliding off! I am in Kogarah and want to get this done tomorrow morning if possible! CAN PAY! Any shops you know of in sydney south would be fine too. Bryce 0416275449

Yeah thats true. Imagine getting just a bit of build up in the injectors due to a dirty fuel filter or bad fuel = ping ping ping.....

If your going for an MX5 get a hardtop for it. The softtops in that price range will be rat crap.

Damn! You could get a full respray for that much! What about a paint-doctor type service?
