That looks smick! So how does it "mount" on the surround for the ashtray? Did you use double sided tape or make a custom bracket?

I have the same issue. I am ditching hicas for a lock bar. Check the threads on HICAS bars and you will be convinced. I got a lock bar on this forum for $120 including postage. They are going on Ebay for a similar amount. Bar will save you such headaches, is reversable, gives more predicatable cornering, and saves between 25 and 30kg of weight!

Ha! I got one of the red ones on my R32 when I baught it. It has a nice feel but looks out of place (um.... red steering wheel? I dont think so). I cant believe they are that expensive. Mine hasnt got the centre plate though, and is a bit dirty, but still. $500? You can get the top of the line Momo for about $100 less! Not to say it isnt a resonable price, I am just surprised at how expensive these wheels are in general. Good luck and free bump.

Call me on 0416275449 DVD is a slim line multiregion. Both in perfect working order, DVD player close to new. Upgraded whole home entertainment system (including DVD) so these have to go. Pickup only in Sydney (Kogarah) - Would prefer pickup this weekend or early next week as I need the space! Both come with remotes too.

There are quite a few bars on ebay at the moment. I assume a bar is a bar when it comes to this. Not really much to them is there?

Just about to get an SAFC and need it tuned. Is it a good idea to get a boost controller at the same time? The main reason I want it is that the GTR I have is pinging very badly on hot days. I have retarded the timing a bit and it helped a tad, but it really needs a good A/F ratio and tune. 2 questions: 1) can you set up dual fuel maps on the SAFC to run 2 different boost levels 2) is it best to invest in an electronic boost controller too and get them both tuned together? I want to clean up the car a bit before forking over too much cash on toys like boost controllers, but I dont want to have to get 2 SAFC tunes done either. What do you all think? Vidospace

Well I finally picked it up after some major pain in the butt days with finance companies! I ended up getting a good deal though. Driving it home, everthing seems fine, though it was very hot and I could hear some pinging at lower revs. My mechanic will change the plugs this weekend hopefully and we will look at the rest of the things that need doing too. The fun begins now

A lot of the items you are having done can be done by you too. A radiator flush for example is a 30 minute job in the garage (even the brake fluid change isnt that hard, just takes two people to do the good old pedal pumping ). Personally I would do those sorts of things myself, and then take it to a GTR expert to do the major things like the pulleys, injector clean, and belts.

Dude, If I were you and did this much work, I would keep it totally stock, and sell it when I retire. It will be the only car you have ever owned that you will make a packet on when you sell. Vidospace.

Whats the cost like if you, say add another mod and, need it "re-tuned". I assume it would be cheaper as the previous tune suits the cars setup and your only changing the air fuel ratio most of the time (for say air filters, or dump pipes) rather than the ignition timing etc. Or am I talking crap because I have no idea?
